I mean... it's the Wild West...
    1. Hunting for food and defending against threats such as wildlife or hostile groups were common activities that required the use of weapons.
    2. A significant number of individuals in the wild west had military experience, whether from serving in the Civil War, various Indian Wars, or other conflicts.
    3. Law enforcement officers, such as sheriffs, deputies, and marshals, were required to be proficient with firearms due to the nature of their work
    4. The wild west saw the rise of professional shooters and marksmen who showcased their skills in competitions and shows
    5. By 1899, firearm technology had significantly advanced, guns were accessible and overall weapons were easier to use and were more reliable compared to earlier models

Numerous historical accounts, including letters, diaries, newspaper articles, and official reports, document instances where individuals successfully used firearms to defend themselves, hunt for food, or engage in conflicts. These records serve as evidence of the population's proficiency with weapons during the era...

Nonetheless this game mod is great and it sure makes things easier while playing the game at the highest difficulty, so thank you :)

Defending yourself successfully doesn't mean hitting your intended target with 65% of your shots. It only means incapacitating your target befor it incapacitates you.

If you need 10 attempts to hit the guy trying to kill you, but he needs 15 attempts, which he didn't get because you hit him before his 13th attempt, you've successfully defended yourself without being a 19th/20th century aimbot.

almost all shot-outs in real life the parts barely put their head out of cover

99% of the shots are suppressive fire, it's tactics and instinct to keep living, I doubt people in 1900 exposed themselves at shootouts too

i'm 99% sure it does not, because I use it myself and made this mod while using it. also this is a file edit while PDO is a script, from what I've seen the accuracy from the files takes priority and is applied on all peds regardless of external scripts modifying it

it conflict with  Ped Damage Overhaul standard and overhaul version only light version is not
i test it using the standard version and set ini file from ped accuracy to 1 with your mod at bottom of the list and ped overwrite your mod

I just tried it with PDO Overhaul version and it works just fine, @roseward. Deputies miss so many shots right in front of me, but eventually they do hit, so it seems to be the right amount of precision, given that they do more damage with PDO.

you cant do that through any of the modified files in this mod, just use a mod that specifically disables the sniper or use a trainer

    Great mod, Rob Grant.
The accuracy adjustments are perfect from a distance. (which is most of the time)
However, at point blank range, 30% accuracy becomes silly.
If there is a way to adjust accuracy based on distance to target, I'd suggest that.
