I'm having an issue with anti-cheat? I set this all up. Man it was looking great in VR. Suddenly during this first play with the mod, after maybe 10 minutes of play, the screen went black and game died. I tried to restart and got a popup that anti-cheat had detected non standard files and my account could be banned if I run mods.
Anyone have this issue? How can I get around? Thx!!
I have one more like a technical question. I got it all to work greatly on my 4090. Run the bat file and its defalut resolution is 2700x2700 in the mod overlay, but its still kinda blurry. in the RDR2 TAB I can go and adjust the size window to 3940x3940 , the max setting without overwrite multiplicator and the 4090 pushes solid 90 FPS which is awsesome. Mind you I went into the Game folder, renamed the real64 dll file , then I could go to settings (otherwise it crashes on settings) and selected DLSSS mode to Balanced - all perfect. MY ONLY ISSUE now is that if I go to MAP and hoover over points, the description on the left are too large and only the center can be read. It works perfectly with the original Luks resolution of 2700x2700 where all is well visible but once you start messing with increasing the window size it all becomes too large. IS THERE a way to maybe tweak the ini file or something to increase the resolution to the max settings 3940x3940 I think it was but without making the MAP text too large and keep readable? EDIT: I figured the best way to go about it , is not to opt for DLSS in game, but use the Mod values eg 2176x2176 or so set up with mod upscale option , however for that to run super smoooth the 5090 needs to be plugged in to get the extra 20 FPS and reach 90
You need to enable DLSS inside the game under graphics settings, but you'll need to start the game with the VR mod disabled first. You can disable it by temporarily renaming or moving RealVR64.dll in the game folder. Set DLSS to the desired quality and apply changes. Leave the game and start back up with VR mod enabled. If you go to the RDR2 tab on the mod settings window, you should see that DLSS is enabled with the quality you selected. Resolution scale is no longer applicable. To get the desired resolution, you need to set the base window size override to the desired resolution. Once a new value is selected, there should be a button that appears that says something like "Resize View". Press it to apply. The Resolution Scale override can be set to None, as it's not used with DLSS. You can also set the DLSS sharpen here. I'm not positive, but I think it overrides the in game setting for DLSS sharpen.
Get rid of vrperkit if you have it installed. You won't need it with DLSS. I'm not convinced it really does anything anyway, as it's not supposed to work with the Vulkan API.
Another thing to mention is that the game uses an old dlss version 2 library, but that can be replaced with a new version 3 (you can download from the techpowerup site).
yes, i was not aware of this because i myself dont have a DLSS compatible gpu so i did not however im not sure if it will function because graphic settings are controlled with the .bat file but maybe it will. I wouldent know
its not compatible with any mods but the ones the mod contains because when it launches it uses a special launching method and injects a string of code into the game to allow the VR headset to be used when playing the game in VR, that string of code interferes with the code that mods need to work which causes other mods not to work.
it wouldent let you load in more than likely due to the added directory files and even if it did let you in you might get banned but i mean, rockstar abandoned the game 3 years ago so i doubt you would get banned
I just bought the steam version because I read on forums that the fitgirl repack Jack Sparrow version has problems with mods. But I'm considering a refund, because it still doesn't work. I get a black screen, then the error message pops up, I click it away with OK, then the game shuts down. And now that I see that I can't install other mods, only this, well it makes me want my 20 euros back.

Thanks regardless, though!
