This is NOT a literal mod that you download and drop into LML, it is a tool that you use to mod aspects of the game separately. Simply extract the folder in the Zip file, place it on your desktop, and then follow the steps in the mod description.
The link to CodeX is here, don’t complain about the payment to me because I do not have control over that AND it’s the only tool advanced enough for this script to work: https://www.patreon.com/dexyfex
If you have any issues with the script please let me know either here or on Discord (preferably in RDRMC) and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible.
if you’re trying to fix it yourself because of an error with the Script: export the ydd.xml from CodeX and open it through Notepad++. Scroll down to THE FIRST LIST where it says “Bonemapping” or something of the sort. From there, use the values in the Boneswapper.xml as a reference for what to replace. Once you replace the values (ONLY IN THE FIRST LIST IF IT’S MANUAL), you import it back into CodeX.
hey idk if u still reply to comments but do you know if this fixes a quickdraw issue with the rampage trainer model changer. Because when i switch my model a female npc all the animations is normal but a male one cant quick draw for some reason. They get this npc-dutch like aim and it takes like two seconds before they even start aiming if that makes sense. Idk if u know the answer but its worth a try i guess.
Hello, I’d like to understand this mod better. Does it allow me to edit game files directly without using Lenny's Mod Loader? I’m looking for something like that because Lenny's Mod Loader causes FPS issues when I use it alongside ScriptHook.
Unfortunately no, you’d still need LML to actually use everything that’s edited. The mod is outdated now though, I gave more details in another comment
Well, done everything as it is said in the description and it didn't worked at all. I did not filmed gameplay to compare animation frame-by-frame, but it seem that bone weights didn't changed even for a little bit.
As it appeared BoneSwaps.xml been corrupted during unpacking. Now Boneswaper runs. Changes boneweights. And game crashes every time, I'm trying to "equip" changed model onto MC.
After numerous attempts, I've managed to mate it work. And... As it appeared bonewieghts changed, but they are still wrong. Models, I've tried to convert, require to stronger connetcions to neck and shoulders bones.
Boneswapper isn’t a very reliable tool, was just all I could come up with at the time. There are far better options around, I answered you in another post in case you don’t see that yet.
I've been shooting shots in the dark, and have looked everywhere for a tutorial. I'm not demanding one, but a tut would be nice due to the foreign and complicated nature of the program (at least to dumb cowpokes like me).
I’m not exactly sure what kind of tutorial I could give considering I explained each step already. Also keep in mind this mod is a bit outdated considering that Codex and Sollumz (blender plugin for RDR2) both support YDD editing now, meaning you can edit the weights or “bones” on the models directly in blender now
"considering that Codex and Sollumz (blender plugin for RDR2) both support YDD editing now" - can you, please, point me where exactly these processes are described? I mean: how to edit Boneweights via codex or Sollumz and where to find Sollumnz's blender plugin for RDR2. As I haven't been successful in googling it myself.
Sollumz’s blender plugin is here I believe (this link may be a bit outdated, I’m not sure it is but could be): https://github.com/ultrahacx/Sollumz-RDR/tree/sollumz-upstream
You export the ydd.xml via Codex, and place it in a folder along with the player YFT (which should be named something like meta_base_player iirc). Then you import it into blender after installing the sollumz plugin, and edit the weights and stuff in blender. When you’re done, you just export it out and back into LML via Codex.
There’s more instructions across some discord servers, so I’d suggest looking around to see if you can find more help or details there.
"Unable to import file, the method or operation is not implemented."
I exported player_zero_coat_009.ydd XML in CodeX, put it into the Boneswapper EXE, imported the edited ydd XML into the player_zero_coat_009.ydd, and I got the error. What did I do wrong?
