This Mod is another take at Revamping Colter from a rundown abandoned town, into a slightly populated little community
As the name suggests, this is 'Another' take at revitalizing Colter into a better state
This mod is heavily inspired by NikoBelIics recent 'Alive Colter' mod and also by the legendary Eastern357 who made 'Colter Base Camp'
How this mod differs from those two is that it is made with Rampage Trainer, which makes it easy for most people to install/edit it.
MapEditor never really worked that well for me, as it glitches out my entire game.
WHAT THIS MOD DOES
- Adds Trees and Vegetation in and around the Colter area (over 300 trees!)
- Adds Native American camps on the outskirts of Colter
- Adds Peds and Animals at Colter
- Adds Lights to the exterior of most buildings
- Adds Candles inside the interiors of the buildings
- Little fun details all around Colter if you're willing to look around ;)
- Beware of the Mountain Man! For he sees everything!
KNOWN ISSUES
- As the peds are just spawned in with Rampage, they won't move around like normal NPC's do
They ARE all Interactable and will respond and run away if you cause any Mayhem around Colter
- I tried giving each Ped a scenario to act out, like smoking, cleaning, sitting, etc. but it seems added scenarios cannot be saved into a .xml file.
So all Peds will just awkwardly stand around. Maybe even suffer inside cuz Colter is cold asf. If somebody Does know how to permanently Save Ped Scenarios I would love to know how!
- Because of all the thick built-up snow around Colter, Some Items May Float slightly above the ground if you flatten the snow around one that's not effected by gravity
- If you spot any trees/vegetation/props floating Way above the ground, it might be an oversight. Please leave a comment where it is, if you do.
- a YMAP version is current NOT possible, because it basically deletes everything inside this mod (trees, vegetation, peds)
COMPATIBILITY
- This mod should be compatible with any other mod, as it doesn't change any existing game files or items
- if you use the mod 'Bandit Hideouts' I would suggest you disable the Colter hideout spawn location in its .ini file. Otherwise the bandits will most likely kill the NPC's, or leave it if you're into that sorta thing
- In my mod archive I also added a No Peds option, if you're just looking for a spruced up version of Colter and want to keep the hideout that randomly spawns
HOW TO INSTALL
You obviously need Rampage Trainer to spawn the mod in
If you don't have it yet. Go download it now its Great!
Simply copy and paste ONE of the .xml files provided into RampageFiles/Spooner. You can use AutoLoad if you like, by placing it in that folder.
Once in-game, open Rampage, go to Spawner -> Objects -> Load/Save -> 'Another Colter Mod'
*You won't have to do this if you use AutoLoad
