Hello everyone. I haven't been here in a while because I've been busy with university stuff. Thanks to everyone who's been helping others here while I'm away. I appreciate all of you.
Any idea why Silver looks Black/Dark? I took this photo from my game, using the Cattleman Revolver. I use WhyEm's DLC/RDO merge, not sure of anything else that would cause this type of issue.
FIXED - The bug I was encountering was due to my graphics mod... WhyEm's Visuals, if you yourself are having the issue you can uninstall your graphics mod to fix it. I now use Collyrium.
Its the navy revolver, only available in online without modding it in, u can probably get it into story mode with the online content unlocker thingy tho
You can use Red Dead Offline or a few other mods to get it in.
Be wary with Red Dead Offline though as it has issues with other mods and sometimes you might need to find a compatibility patch (WhyEms and EEE have one, but annoyingly you can't use all three)
I'm not having any problems relating to this mod, but I did notice that the semi-auto shotgun barrel by default isn't selected as long or short, meaning NPCs with the semi-auto shotgun just... Don't have a barrel. Other than that though I've had zero issues, zero conflicts, no problems of the sort.
Would be perfect if you could select which ones to keep as the original. The new versions of everything but blued and black look great, but those two are far too dark and shiny now.
Yeah, totally agree. The Blued and black ones looks to new & shiny compared to light weathered look of vanilla. I also prefer the the vanilla look of silver as it look much like how it'd look realistically. The mod changes the colour too much that it looks like steel rather than silver.
You can change the color or shininess of metals using Notepad++. First, open the LML file and right-click pbrWeaponSurfaces.ymt, then open it in Notepad++. To adjust shininess, find the metal type (like blackened or blue metal) and lower the metalness value. If you want to change the color, use this color picker to find a new color. The website gives RGB percentages—convert them to decimals by dividing by 100. For example, if the RGB values are 27.3%, 31.2%, and 28.2%, the converted values would be:
X:0.273
Y:0.312
Z:0.282
In the file, locate the Albedo RGB values and replace them with your new X, Y, and Z values. Save the file, and your changes should apply in-game.
if you download notepad++ you can go into the lml file and right click pbrWeaponSurfaces.ymt it will list all the gun metals and the settings for them. just tweak the number for silver's metalness till it looks good. I wouldnt go much below <Metalness value="0.9000000"/> because it looks really flat below that. I personally like <Metalness value="0.9500000"/>
Hello I have a question is this mod compatible with EEE merge?Beacause I have both of this installed and I don't have shotgun barell and the Lancaster repeater is gone and I don't wanna uninstall them cuz I don't wanna break anything

Just take any shotgun, put all metal as black, and give it golden engravings
tried engravings with just whyem's on unmodded guns and the textures bugged out
