Due to enemies scaling above your gear score in both damage and health at an exponential rate this actually makes the game harder...and harder...and harder because the amount of damage you can deal and the armor you can tank gets less and less effective...
To put it in perspective at GS 200 your enemies will be dealing 93.2 thousand times more damage, and have 54.3 thousand times more health while you will only deal 21x more damage with your guns and only getting a reduction in damage from 8% to 2%
To Summarize: You get 21x damage. Enemy gets 93,200x damage.
You go from 91.15% damage reduction, to 97.63% damage reduction. Enemy gets 54,375x more health.
This mod will grind your enjoyment to a complete halt, and you will not be able to reverse the upgrades.
Do not join public games, and please make backups or you will have to start from scratch because you wont be able to kill the first ad you see, and every basic enemy will eventually get to the point where they will one shot you in letos.
This may be the point as a difficulty mod, but just wanted people to be aware this will not going to give you any sort of upper hand in the long run.
LMAO... That's like true, given the game does scale to the highest levelled armour piece. So, if you only install the "200 Armour" mod, you'll being levelling-up the enemies' damage output and HP, in exchange for more armour for yourself v_v
Ok so that really does make the question resurface...why upgrade at all? I heard it said it was because of the percentage increases provided by trinkets and such. +15% damage is higher on a fully upgraded gun due to more starting damage for example.
But then this mod destroys that theory. If not for the traits that unlock at the highest gear level, it feels useless to upgrade.
