I just wanted to say Thank You for making a mod for this game and all your hard work. Altho I find the mod to be a bit too easy and/or unbalanced at times it is still a really cool mod and I am sure many would like it. Keep up the good work :D
p.s. remnant has a great discord channel as well so you may find some help there or ppl that would like to try your mod out but aren't aware of nexus or the mod itself.
p.p.s. If you ever find yourself wanting to make an alternative form of your mod when you feel like it in future maybe. What I would personally do is just lower the damage enemies do on apocalypse just a tiny tiny bit (so it's still higher then nightmare but a bit lower then in vanilla apocalypse) but instead give all enemies a small 10-33% speed boost (10-20% for bosses & 10-33% for mobs). And make enemies outside of boss rooms spawn twice as many. I'd leave all the rest as it is. But that's just me thinking aloud. I'll maybe try it myself when I learn how to mod.

      Thanks!
I'm going to be honest. I've not clocked in a lot of hours into Remnant.
I'm actually hoping that someone who is an expert would start a mod project of their own so they can really do the game justice.
If you're part of the discord I hope you share this guide!

Thanks for the guide, I'm making my own version with more enemies and balanced scaling, kind of confusing how scaling works when other players join, but I'm learning; Meaning, the difference between 'Stats_Scaling_Difficulty' and 'Stats_Scaling_NumPlayers'.

Love this mod! It adds so much tension even on normal difficulty, I use it with

Made Remnant into a survival horror game. It's awesome!

Hello guys, so i would like to tweak the mod to my likeing (the dmg/hp scaleings and the amount of enemies spawned) but i just can't figure out how to do it. I do not really know stuff about modding. I extracted the .pak file using Asset Editor but after that i am stuck, could someone help me out with where and how do i need to modify the values.

Wouldn't increased enemy damage basically kill any semblance of damage mitigation in higher difficulty multiplayer, where it's already nearly dead due to the already existing damage scaling per player? In a 3p hard lobby, Scourge can one-hit my maxed character stacking mantle of thorns with a fully upgraded scrapper set like it was nothing, despite me using this to tank apocalypse bosses solo. Was this tested with multiplayer or were the values for it changed as well?

Hey this is an amazing mod and I honestly love playing the game with it but I having some issues when i play with some friends, we practically get one shot almost all the time regardless of the armor we have and we are using the experimental file that you uploaded, we enjoy the fast pace of everything but i think they're getting discouraged from the one shots is there a way i can reduce the damage the enemies do even just a little bit?

      It's an on-going issue that I don't really understand.
Though it seems most people experience it in COOP.

Here's a final attempt at fixing it. Not sure if it'll do anything though.

i dont know what it was but there was a definite difference with this file thank you, we can now take like 2 or 3 hits and in my opinion thats so much better than the one shot, thank you!

From 2 hours of play i already have a bit of a issue with how ridiculous the first boss fight is with all those spawns of enemies and the boss just chugging bombs everywhere when its already hard enough to dodge when you have waves of enemies already after you. Im playing with the standard version of the mod on normal difficulty and when i got to the first sewer section i was expecting more enemies but not more miniboss enemies specifically the dudes who spam bombs that have oneshoted me 3 times already. The dual sword and the minigun mini -bosses were fine but what really made the ordeal annoying was the minibosses that spammed those bombs which are hard to dodge when swarmed by enemies.

Right now im stuck on the first big boss fight the one in the sewers behind the fog wall and it quite literally is kicking my ass because i picked the first class with the rifle and im better equipped to deal with people from afar but when enemies are swarming me i am forced to use my melee weapon and when im slaying everything in my path to hopefully free some space to snipe the boss, i am greeted with several bombs from no where that always oneshot. That is not too balanced in my opinion since the game itself is restrictive on movement so even with your buffed movement speed you will still get clipped with those big explosions from no where and unfortunately its hard to track the boss when their are so many enemies coming from all directions. I am considering restarting the play through and picking the 2nd or 3rd class to start with since they have stronger up close weapons and starter gear to deal with swarms of enemies.

To any one thinking of playing with this mod i highly suggest not picking the first class as a starter because even with the melee weapon its still not fit to deal with 50 small enemies plus 3 mini-bosses at one time.

This is probably my biggest issue with what my mod does.
Definitely makes slow firing weapons a lot harder.

Yeah. Just got to the same place and can confirm it: bosses that spawn minions at will are a nightmare even on lower difficulties. Don't take me wrong: I'm loving this mod but, I'm stuck with this endless hordes without any hope for victory.

Are you using the original mod with double spawns or the version with reduced spawns?

I'm using the experimental branch under the files tab. It was the latest version compared to the others available. Where do I find this version?

NVM... I just skimmed through when I read "easy mode" in the files tab.
The main reason I like this mod is the increased move speed (good lord, the original game feels sluggish), and the increased spawns at the expense of reduced health (I hate when difficulty settings just bloat enemies to space and make them hit-kill). I think your mod fixes the difficulty the right way except when it comes to these specific bosses/gauntlets. I wish I understood more of the inner workings of this game to actually suggest something better than just be here nagging.

I have a question I'm very very curious about. Since you seem to be only person here that made an actual mod and not just a reshade or smtn (besides that russian dude but seems he doesn't speak english all that well).
have you maybe figured out whilst making a mod if there is a way to randomize enemies? Except bosses. There is so many cool and fun to fight elites that spawn once every 100 hours. A randomizer would be so cool so we'd get to fight self heal vampires, radiation beam from forehead staff dudes, elite copies of yaesha mini bosses, dual sword wielding dude that blocks, rot bomb tossing giant, dual sycle guy with shield, flying fire triangle, giant tentacle swamp fat ass, armoured giant swamp thing, etc... If enemies outside of boss room were doubled and randomized this game would be so much much more replayable and fun. But since I know jack s#*! about modding I've no idea if that is even possible with how the game is designed and works.

I actually wanted to find the probabilities because I know certain enemies are randomized.
But.. I'm actually pretty bad at modding unreal engine games if certain parameters aren't spelled out for me.
And spawns were anything but simple.

Here's a guide I made for modding this game and other unreal engine games in case you get curious.

thanks for info! i'll ask around on discord maybe someone dug deep enough into it to know if randomizer is possible
