After so long, I now then find your mod. Great mod too. By the way, is there a way where I can tone down the brightness/exposure so I can make it work with custom reshade?

Sorry, no way to tone it down. Only to temporarily turn it off with F5.
You can use reshades with it, though. I did play the game with some reshades myself.

Is there any way to make this somehow compatible to DX 12, when i switch to DX 11, it seems like my graphic got downgrade a bit with the same settings ( maybe it just my eyes or sth lol) it also stutter quite a bit which never happen when i use DX 12.

      Hi!
As far as I know, there has been no attempt yet to port/create a DX12 version for 3dmigoto. So... unfortunately, I don't know of such a way yet.

Hello, this mod doesn't show up in my Fluffy Manager. Any idea why? Every other mod I have shows up without issue.

      Hello!
To be honest, I have never used Fluffy Manager yet, so I don't know if it would be possible.
I have been tempted to try some other mods around here, so sometime I will definitely install it and try it, and when I do I will see if and how I can use my mod with it as well.
Thank you for bringing this into my attention.

No problem. I did install Fluffy Manager today, and it seems rather easy to adjust my mod in order to use it in Fluffy Manager.
I will update my RE2 and RE3 mods soon enough, probably in the next few days.

Well, first of all, the original RE2 and RE3 were WAY BRIGHTER than the remakes. There were quite a bunch of people (including me) complaining about this and some were even wondering why is the RPD so dark in the remake, trying to find a logical explanation (since zombies don't eat cables or electricity bills).

More importantly, second of all, who says that "it is meant" to be in a certain way?... You are on a mods site, so by definition you are now looking at things which ALTER the way the developers "meant" the game to look and feel like :) Most people here are either looking for an alternate experience with a certain game, or are even looking for a way to actually enjoy a game which lacks something that they wanted (just as I was for a year before I managed to create the RE2 mod).

Take any mod here and you can find a similar debate topic where you could answer just like your post above. A few examples:
      a) a mod which replaces Jill with some other character?
      - "but it is meant to be Jill, that is the whole point"
      b) a mod which removes Nemesis from the game?
      - "but Jill is meant to be chased by Nemesis throughout the game, that is the whole point"
      c) a mod which gives you infinite life / ammo?
      - "but ammo is supposed to be scarce and zombies are supposed to bite you, that is the whole point"
      d) a clothes changing mod?
      - but she is supposed to be wearing this and that...
and so on, you get the idea :)

I myself enjoy the game much, much more with the mod on, because I like to be able to see all things around me and all normal colours. There is enough scare and suspense for me even like this. It actually feels more natural. If you use any flashlight in a normal sized dark room, you'll see that it floods the entire room with dim light, so it lets you see corners of the room as well, not only a small beam. Limiting the view just so a zombie can jump from the dark is actually cheap scare tactics, and much less dramatic than Mr. X smashing through a wall or feeling that Nemesis could burst through a door any minute, or even entering a new room which might or might not contain zombies, dogs, lickers, etc.

The developers say it is meant to be in a certain way, since they made it like this, in the first place

Yes, Zethras. As I was saying, we are on a mods site. Mods are simply things that CHANGE the look, feel, behaviour, etc. of the game, so that it becomes different than what the developers made.

Zethras and jamieevans, you are slightly missing the point aren't you. If you want to play the game the way it was originally created, why are you downloading MODS for it...?

I absolutely love your mods and this was amazing in RE2 !!!!
I'm having an issue in RE3 of it being too overpoweringly bright. In RE2 I could compensate for it in the brightness settings by altering the brightness in the options menu (I posted several pics of how absolutely breathtaking this mod was in-game). However, I can not duplicate the results for RE3. Is there a way I can dial it down 30 to 50 percent in order to match how it looked in RE2?

      Hi, BlightSyndicate!
Thank you for the appreciations, and thank you for the pictures. I could not approve all of them, since they were using nude skin-mods, and my mod isn't listed in that category.
Unfortunately, in RE3 it seems that the developers did change a few things regarding their usage of shaders, and this led to even more overexposure effect in some areas of the game :(
I tried to take a quick look, trying to find other shaders (like I did with F6 and F7 in my RE2 mod), but I wasn't successful.
I will try again, but chances are low.
What I can suggest is maybe use a Reshade effect (like Levels, Reinhard, I don't know) in order to dial the whites down.
I will try some more myself when I get the time.

Don't know if anyone is having a problem with the mod but my game keeps crashing now. I deleted the local files and redownloaded the game. It starts after that but in DX12 and when it restarts I get the window to come up but then crashes. I deleted the dll files from the zip file but it keeps crashing.

@arbiter913: I'm sorry that you are experiencing issues with your game, but your problem is NOT coming from this mod. That would be basically impossible, since I do not modify ANY of the game files. I only added the 3dmigoto dll files (scanned on Nexus as "Safe to use" AND 100% verifiable against the official 3dmigoto site - I have NOT changed ONE BYTE of those dll files) and with the use of all this I only prevent a shader to be applied.
Not to mention the fact that there are people who played the entire game with this mod and found absolutely no issue with it.

Your problem lies with either the game itself, or a problem with the GPU driver or some other OS related thing (a virus on your PC included).
What I would try first is to:
      - use the Steam's own "Verify integrity of game files" option to check the game files
      - reduce graphics quality settings in the game (this game crashes when there isn't enough video RAM available, especially if you are in the orange or red area)
      - check if other games are running fine with DX11
      - update the graphics card driver
      - scan your system with something like Malwarebytes
      - eventually maybe reinstall Windows if all else fails

Also, how exactly is it crashing? Right on start? Does it show an error?

Thanks for getting back to me. It is just weird for me because before I installed the mod the game was working just fine in DX11 but the next day it would open up the RE3 game window and then just crash, no error message or anything. RE2 ran just fine in DX11 with that version of the lights on mod too. I did check the integrity of the game files for RE3 after running the uninstaller that came in the zip file and I got a message saying that everything was fine even though I couldn't play in DX11. I also deleted the local files and re-downloaded the game about 5 times before the game worked just fine again. And I have run a scan with Malwarebytes and Windows defender, nothing. My GPU is running the latest drivers and as for my game settings I have always run it anywhere between 2.5 to 4 GB out of the 5.68GB that is shown in-game. But like I said, earlier the game is now working and I do not know what happened.

@arbiter913: I'm glad that you managed to repair your game and it is now working properly.
Since I can't find a possible technical explanation (I mean... game files were checked and found to be intact plus the mod was removed... this all means that nothing can possibly be affected anymore) and also not even another user noticing the same behaviour, I continue to suspect a simple coincidence. Maybe Windows had an update which modified something under the hood and afterwards it was fixed in another patch. Or maybe Steam's integrity check didn't work the first couple of times for some reason. Also, even if it did, it wouldn't make much sense, since my mod does not manipulate the game files, it only prevents applying the shader while the game is already running...

Anyway, I'm glad things worked out well in the end and now you can play the game again. Enjoy!

Thank you very much! That was exactly my desire when I started working on it (for RE2), because I always enjoyed playing the PS1 original with normal colours and lights.

You're welcome, and thanks for the appreciation! Unfortunately, I lack the skills to really fine-tune it, because I'd need to know much more about shaders and HLSL code (and I also lack the time to learn those).
It seems that the overall quality with my mod was a little better in the RE2 version, but in RE3 they made a few changes to the way they apply the effects with shaders.
What I can suggest is using ReShade along with my mod. A preset which I like using is the "RE3 IMMERSION - RESHADE" mod by JimmyANdresRG. You can find it here, on Nexus.
