Its not the designers role to tell the mechanic. But because AM is build base on original RE3R I will give hints here.
Jill has many ways of attack. Take Flash Grenade as example. After throwing the Flash, Enemies got stunned. Players know immediately to switch another weapon like AR and start DPS the weakness.
But When vs Gamma Hunter, After throwing out the Fire Grenade, Gamma Hunter start dancing.Players start to watch the dancing.....and ask why it is dancing so long im Ammoing out.....
The brain is locked by vanilla game.
The Gamma is tank type Enemy ,A same level as Baby-G in RE2R.But base on Jill is more Powerful than Leon or Claire, it will be a little harder.
I dont use Fire Round every time actually when playing the sewer level.Gamma DO supressed by  Fire Rounds.
But Mag /Shotgun / AR /Acid round/Explosive Arrow they all really good when vs Gamma with the right tatic. And they all can be part of your wepon build.
One main target of AM is to give players enough freedom to play their own style. You can be a single handgun master.Or you can be a Grenade Mad.

    So Clear your memory~

I've only been playing this mod for a little more than an hour and I must say it is AMAZING! thank you very much for creating it! :) just a quick question... does it work with higher difficulties beyond Hardcore? Either way, it's awesome. Thanks again.

There are players feel AM is too difficult. But there also players want higher chanlleges in Reccoon City.
      I will think about it.

okay thank you - also, how do I get past the raccoon station? I swapped to Jill but there's no battery anywhere to blast open the door, I checked inside and outside and opened all boxes/safes

I'm playing latest version of the mod and I found a bug with health and increased attack power coins. Both of them don't work.  Without this the game is not common sense, enemies are sponge bullets (Hunter Gammas need five or six napalm rounds for killing), there are barely herbs and healing items, enemies do a lot of damage and that's impossible in this scenary doing anything.

Anyone has same problem?. I don't have another mod installed, so it's not a match problem. Mod is nice, only there are bugs as I said before. Thank you.

a bug with health and increased attack power coins. Both of them don't work.
Their boost values are much smaller than they were in the base game.
They've gone from around 40% to about 5% in Arrange Mode.
The coins still stack their effect, so you can go beyond 5% with more coins.

Hunter Gammas need five or six napalm rounds for killing
I played on hardcore and never needed this many.
      enemies are sponge bullets
They were spongy for me too, so I'm thinking your game might not be bugged.
Arrange Mode is tough, but you're given many options in how to deal with encounters.
You might want to change your approach or experiment to see if there's a better solution.

Hello!, thank you so much for your reply. I checked out coins effect and it's as you said, works but effects are more slowly than original vanilla game.
But that's very strange you don't need too many napalm rounds for beating Hunters Gamma, in my experience playing in Standard and Hardcore they need same quantity fire rounds for killing them (five or six shots), I can't understand what I am doing wrong, maybe it's a bug in my game, because rest of things seems working good.

I would suggest you (if you could add of course) more health items (green herbs and red ones), it's really hard playing game without them (standard included), because in two zombie bite or Nemesis attacks you are in danger and don't exist too many options for going through the game in this situation.

Maybe I'm not as good as Pro players but with this suggestions the experience would be smoother and much better. Sorry for my english btw. Thanks!!.

In case it isn't clear, I'm not the mod author.
      Just an AM fan.

they need same quantity fire rounds for killing them (five or six shots)
For me, it was about 2 flame rounds max, with some follow up handgun rounds.
I'll give you some tips for the Gammas.
      1) Only shoot when their mouth is open. Handguns can crit its mouth too.
      2) After shooting it with a flame round, don't shoot a second flame round until the fire from the first round is gone.
I believe that the burning effect of flame rounds doesn't stack.
Therefore, if you are shooting it too soon, you're technically wasting some damage by shooting a target that is still on fire.
      3) You don't need to kill all the Gammas. Some can be avoided by shooting them once with a flame round and moving past them.
Some can even be avoided without shooting at all.
Unless you're passing through an area multiple times, it's not necessary to eliminate every enemy.
It should be stated that the author has said that enough ammo is provided to kill all enemies though.

I'm not as good as Pro players
I'm not either and died a lot playing AM.
However, a casual like me was able to beat it, with the book that disables perfect dodge, on my first playthrough.
It can be punishing if your strategy hasn't adjusted to the changes in the mod, you need to almost treat it like an entirely new game.
If you don't know the new gunpowder recipies, check them out in the mod's front page.
AM is quite balanced in terms of its ammo distribution, but the onus is on the player knowing how best to use the gunpowders provided.
One other tip I'll give is that handguns are very valuable in AM, specifically the G19 and MUP.
Their crit rates are very useful in many circumstances across all enemies.
Be wary of the Samurai Edge's bad crit.
It deals more damage per bullet, but it's typically not worth the advantages of higher crit.
This assessment is based on version 2.25 and may change across future patches.

    Edit:
In the original post, I address some bugs during my experience.
Ones that I assumed were AM related but technically weren't.
9999rpm and crash grab - This is caused by the trainer, not AM. Set player firing speed to 100 in the trainer and it should fix it.
Jill RPD Swap - Follow the insturctions the author has provided. Skins/music mods may conflict and cause a crash at the start of the RPD cutscene. If it still doesn't work, skipping cutscenes via the trainer might also fix the issue. Make sure to set the cutscene skip after the boulder section since it can cause soft locks.
You will be given Carlos' inventory items and it can cause some glitches if you're carrying too much or carrying certain items as Jill before the RPD. My G19 was straight up deleted from the game when I went to the RPD.
Even if it causes glitches, the section has been balanced around Jill and is a pain to go through as Carlos, so the swap is still recommended.

    Original post:

Finished my playthrough on hardcore, with the book and did 3/4 of the optional Nemesis fights.

    Overall I was very impressed.
You clearly have a very strong understanding of the game and your mod has made me appreciate the RE3 remake more.
The good RE2 remake mods have a strong foundation to work off of.
RE3 remake, I would say, doesn't have that same strong foundation.
So the fact that you've been able to create a very engaging and tactical experience is a true achievement.
If anyone contemplating trying the mod is reading this, do it. It's great.

    I do have some criticisms.
First one is the mod page itself here on Nexus.
Now that I've played through the mod, I can understand some of the descriptions better.
But beforehand, it's difficult to interpret that important information.
Things like clearer descriptions of the weapon/ammo/item changes, where to even find the book (I had to look up a video to find it) and more clarity in the instructions for the Jill swap at RPD.
It'd help with less messing around and make it a smoother experience, especially for first time players to the mod.

Speaking of the Jill RPD swap, since I couldn't get that working I played as Carlos there.
If that section was balanced around playing as Jill, then that would make sense because it was very unpleasant as Carlos.
Since he doesn't have access to the weapon variety as Jill, it makes playing as him a lot less interesting and his sections less fun overall.
Even the hospital part with him wasn't particularly enjoyable because of the lack of interesting mechanics given to him.
Another part to the unpleasantness was a bug, where his punch would cause guns to fire at 9999rpm and the game to crash when grabbed.
In future, something to make the Carlos sections more fresh and dynamic would be nice.
If the RPD part is balanced around Jill, then the clarity on the mod page is even more important.

I thought how you arranged the underground hospital section and NEST wasn't as creative as previous sections.
I get the feeling it's more difficult to mix up those spaces compared to earlier ones, so I can see it not being easy to do so.
Not sure if 20 paleheads is the answer though. It's closer to tedium than challenge.
Doubly so when you can't even save, as there are no typewriters in the underground and NEST.
So if you die from an unlucky hit, need to go cook 8 paleheads again.

Although I've said I finished the mod, I technically haven't.
No idea what is expected of me in the final Nemisis fight, the one with the railgun.
Another example where it would help to have some clarity.
In your guide you rank Nemesis 3 at the same level as 2.5.
2.5 wasn't much issue for me, but 3 I have no idea, so the ranking puzzles me.
Didn't want to write about being unable to finish in the first paragraph, as that's the one most people would read and I didn't want to turn people away from the mod.

Having said all that, I really have a lot of respect for what you've managed to create here.
The mod feels more advanced in its systems than most big studio games.
If you don't already work for a prominent game company, then I wouldn't be surprised if you were hired by one sometime in the future.

Just started the mod and I've been enjoying it.
I have two questions, both relating to weapons.

From a previous comment, it mentioned that the new Nemesis drops are:
G19 Moderator, AR Grip, Shotgun Stock, Shotgun Shell Holster.
    Is this drop list accurate?

With the gems, you can get the Samurai Edge.
The base game stats have it around the same crit rate as the G19+moderator, but with better aim and damage.
However, I've noticed you've changed the Samurai Edge's capacity from 15 to 13.
Have you modified the stats of the weapons beyond capacity?
If so, could you provide details?

I have just encountered the first Nemesis fight and defeated him, with the book on hardcore.
But it was very difficult and I went through a lot of ammo and health.
If the weapon stats haven't been modified, the rewards don't seem worth the time and resources fighting him.

I should add that I'm on version 2.24.
    Should I upgrade to 2.25?
Will upgrading cause any conflicts with my previous save?

The mod is excellent so far.
    You've assembled things very cleverly.
    I appreciate you creating this.

      Yes.all weapons have been redesigned
G19+moderator has the best crit chance after precise aim among all handgun.but it requires two slots.
Samurai Edge is not the BEST handgun, There is no Best weapon in AM actually, every weapon has its own shorts or longs.Up to players to build his own armory.
Like the GL_mine is Explosive Arrow actually(the text isnt changed by far).It is encomic, long range, very good break states.if you want a zombie lost his leg eg.And very good control ability.
Knife is  5-times about the origin damage which is a must master weapon through the game especially when youre attacking standard or hardcore.
There are also weapon combos deeper inside the weapon system.which can be used by high rank players.Like when youre chanllege for donw all nemesis with speed.
Youre a good player when you can defeat the first Nemesis in HARDCORE with bible.Really good actually if you dont door kill him.

      Thanks for the response.
That's good to know about the knife, I didn't realise its damaged was increased by that much.

It's exciting that you've redesigned all the weapons.
But without knowing the numbers, it's difficult for me to make informed decisions.
As far as I'm aware, the G19+moderator has a higher crit rate than the Samurai Edge in the base game as well.
So if you've made the moderator even better, it would be helpful to know how much better.
What the new numercial differences are between each gun.
That might be asking a lot, but it would be very useful in assisting me navigate the challenge.

A gun has about 50 attributes.
I will give you the crit .
      G19:4-8%
      G19+moderator:7-12% (7-14%next patch)
      Samurai Edge:1-2%
      MUP:4-12%
      G18:2-3%

They do have a long list of attributes, but the key balance changes would be nice to know clearly.
The difference between the crit rate of the Samurai Edge and the other handguns is a huge difference for example.
I downloaded a trainer last night and did some testing to better understand the changes.
I understand now why you praised the mine rounds so much.
Samurai Edge looks like it has best damage with poor crit.
I had a hard time telling the difference between the MUP and G19+moderator.
So upping the crit for G19+moderator, like you said, next patch would be a good idea.
You should really make Nemesis drop all the best gear.
Extended barrel for magnum, semi-auto barrel for shotgun, etc.
Punish those who don't fight him >:)

Because the base game is so short and doesn't give you weapons early, I know less about the RE3 stats compared to the RE2 and RE4 remakes.
When I've finished the mod, I'll post my own weapons guide for AM and you can tell me how accurate it is or not.
