Doesn't matter, if you have turned off DEP for BH6.exe or not, running trainer (version 1.0.9) as administrator or not, game keeps crashing at random, especially in Leon's story when fighting Simmons. Had 3 crashes in a row at the same spot, where you have to protect Ada. Main use of the trainer is Camera options.
When you click on File, there is the latest version and an old version. The old version is v1.08 and 32 bits. You may be able to download it by clicking this link: https://www.nexusmods.com/residentevil6/mods/12?tab=files&file_id=457
if the game crashes when you open the trainer or vice versa you can do 2 things . use 32bit version of the trainer not 64bt version , still if it crashes add game to DEP exclusion list . https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/358415206084594716/ instructions in steam community link above. it worked for me. the only issue that i have is that the model swapping doesn't work in cutscenes . and after each cutscene i have to reload the checkpont for the model swapping textures to load properly as well. trying to convert the skins manually works better if you know how to and if you want to play with cutscenes.
THANK YOU!!! what you posted fixed my problem that I was trying to figure out for days. Now I can FINALLY playthrough the Campaign without it crashing.
yo thank you for actually being useful and not being a useless dude who just says "USE THE 32BIT VERSION" without telling us how to enable it. props to you
“The value is protected by Secure Boot policy”, it means Secure Boot is enabled for your computer's UEFI firmware. Disable it in your computer's UEFI Firmware Settings to enable test signing mode via Advanced Startup Options. Restart your computer to enter test mode.
PS: I hope you've purchased game, it won't work cracked game, never did and never will.
For me it says that the command was run successfully, but as soon as trainer is started (or if I start trainer first, as soon as the game window gets focus) the game crashes without any error messages. Trying to turn DEP for only RE6 says that the program can't run without it.
On every startup of the game I get some steam prompt for install script with elevated rights, so might have something to do with that. Also what is the {current} parameter, programs currently running or current folder?
Do this before Windows automatic updates apply the wrong UEFI/BIOS update and brick your computer, basically breaks your computer, well becuz of this message im so scare to do this

If you're having issues with invisible characters or missing textures when character swapping, enable "Auto-fix Textures" worked for me.

DEP is Data Execution Prevention.
Use CMD as admin, there's the commands:
Off
bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff
On
bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOn
bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff
I get...
An error has occurred setting the element data.
The value is protected by Secure Boot policy and cannot be modified or deleted.
Please advise.

This edits boot values so does it require reboot?
Same problem after reboot.
