hate to be that guy, but any way we can get this where Leon does not have the gloves with his black leather coat? That's literally my only personal nitpick. Otherwise this mod is peak!
Hey really appreciate the work that went into this mod, thanks. Trying it now and when I launch the game the rehade UI indicated that "there were errors compiling some shaders" so I opened statistics tab for details and it looks like it's the FilmicSharpen.fx files are the issue: "(125, 16): error X3004: undeclared identifier 'BUFFER_PIXEL_SIZE' and "(125, 33): error X3000: syntax error: unexpected ' * ' , expected expression" Also I set the brightness to 25 as suggested but seems overtly bright so maybe the reshade isn't working properly for me. I followed the instructions correctly as far as I know so maybe some of the files got corrupted.
*Edit- Sorry just read your earlier post about ignoring the errors as they are normal.
how do i change the brightness in the reshade preset? do i do that in game or out of game? its a bit too bright for me as well so i wanna see if i can tone down the brightness to where chris chapter 2 dosent "flashbang" me when i load into it. i did set the in game brightness to 25 as recommended in the install readme file
In-game. (I know this looks like a lot of text but it's really simple actually)
i recommend first going to the part in-game that's too bright for you,so you can see the changes in realtime.once your there in-game simply hold down "left shift" and press "f2" to open or close the reshade ui.once the reshade ui pops up you will see a square below in the right corner that's ticked,it will say performance mode.first disable that by clicking on the square.next click collapse all in the top right corner.then look for something called tonemap.fx in the bottom half of the window ,NOT top.click on that to drop down the settings of that shader.and mess around with the "exposure and bleach" values until things look better for you"tip- lowering bleach by using a slightly negative value will probably be the most useful,example:-0.4 or -0.45 something like that".DONT use your mouse to change any values with sliders use your keyboard to manually edit the values.mainly because the sliders are locked to specific amounts and don't allow negative values, but when using a keyboard you can enter any value and to make things darker you will have to use negative values. Once things look better for you don't forget to enable performance mode again.then simply close the reshade ui.
Thanks for your hard work with the mod! I was wondering if it's possible to use just the extra pack without the main mod, as I'm mostly interested in changing the colors of the characters only. Is that possible?
I played through Ada's chapter 3 but didn't get any crashes, can you check if the crash your getting is persistent, meaning does it happen every time for you.
This same error just happened to me, saw their was a fix for it and applied it through fluffy MM but then still got the very same error in same spot. Do i need to apply the ada campaign fix before the main files mod? I would assume it would install after since its fixing issues with the main mod.
You can install the fix through the modmanager or manually since it doesn't overwrite files.
Modmanager install: Copy the "nativepc" folder from the fix Into the "re vi" folder in the modmanager Then open the modmanager and simply reinstall the mod
Manual install: Copy the "nativepc" folder from the fix into your re6 game directory.
{{UPDATE}}} I just tried installing the Ada campaign fix manually instead of doing through fluffys mod manager and it fixed the issue for me. To correct it as well the issue was in Act 4 for her campaign on the aircraft carrier right after the boss fight as it loads into the next chapter it would crash and that has now been fixed. Thanks
[[Original]] tried installing through Fluffys mod manager but could not get it so i just disabled the main mod until I finished Act 3 of her campaign. I will try doing it manually one of these days to see if that method works though. Thanks
{{(((UPDATE)))}}} Tried the long version as recommended in Uroburos69's reply and it worked perfectly. Thanks.
Heyo decided to replay the game and came upon your mod. Thanks for your hard work. Am having trouble with texmod. I selected bh.exe as the target application in texmod and then loaded new fog and when I click RUN it says Failed to Run Steam in an error pop-up. Steam is running and fluffy has the mods enabled so any clue as to what I am doing wrong. I followed the instructions in the mod but cant figure it out so any help would be appreciated.
Okay...first if you haven't used texmod before, this might get a little confusing.so I just want say before hand, the fog fixes are optional.
Long version: Copy the texmod.exe file into your re 6 directory, then rename bh6.exe to bh6MODS.exe,then rename texmod.exe to bh6.exe,then run re6 through steam if you did it right texmod should open, then click browse in texmod and select the renamed bh6MODS.exe and load the fog fixes then click run."few... That's a lot."
Short version: make a copy/duplicate version of your entire re6 folder and download a crack online and use that one for mods without steam. This might be controversial to some but I think if you bought the game there shouldn't be a problem with cracking it.
Also theres some YouTube videos online of how to use texmod with steam.
Appreciate the quick reply. Your suggestion worked perfectly. Now just am getting an error with the ReShade specifically with the FilmicSharpen.fx. Something about BUFFER_PIXEL_SIZE and failed to compile. Cant figure out how to copy and paste from the ReShade log in the game so I will update when i have time. Thanks again.
Question! To anyone using this mod I'm busy with an update that let's you use different character costumes in story mode like Leon's USA outfit in the Asia part of the game and mercenaries costumes but some of the costumes have buggy lighting in cutscenes, I wanted to know if I should include the ones that look buggy in cut scenes or not.
Thanks for your work on RE6. I like the game, but it being so old now it does look funky, especially compared to the remakes. I haven't installed this because I didn't want it to conflict with the Nexus nude female skins . Do you know one way or the other if it would or not? Thanks

To install simply overwrite the original mod files in mod manager folder and reinstall the mod
Realistic Visual Resident Evil 6 at Resident Evil 6 Nexus - Mods and Community
edit: never mind i didn't know it was a reshade lol

you technically could make it work but that would require editing a lot of files with arctool
Modmanager install:
Copy the "nativepc" folder from the fix
Into the "re vi" folder in the modmanager
Then open the modmanager and simply reinstall the mod
Manual install:
Copy the "nativepc" folder from the fix into your re6 game directory.
