fat chance I'll get an answer seeing how old the latest reply is, but here it goes:
anyone else experiences the issue that with the "full" version of "new weather and lighting" selected there are no rain particles? The ground textures have the wet rain ripple effect and it's actually a storm going on (antigua) but there is no actual rain visible.
If I reinstall the mod selecting "lite" version of the module, then rain is back.
Download the 1.2.1 Version Don´t use the 2.0, it won´t work
For Secondary weapon fans The Cooldown is located in the Template of the assosiated weapon.
Open the related 7_na_tpl file provided with the Risen 3 Ressource Manager (located in Real Enhanced Edition > tpl > tpl weapons) Delete all pistole and crossbow templates (Pistole = It_Pis_... , Crossbows = it_CrB_...) Pak the remaining files together and move them into the Risen 3 \ data \ packed Now u wont have cooldowns anymore and still the other weapons modded
PS: The same could be done with Rifles and Shotguns..
downloaded the new test version, everything went swimmingly. I do have a question though if you're still looking at the mod page, I was wondering whatever happened to the new main menu? Right now its the default menu background, but the new music is playing. I seem to remember there was a new menu background in the older version.
1. Download file "Mod Files" from this site. You will find it at "Description" page/tab under Mirrors. 2. Also download files "Textures Part 1 to 4" from the same source. Or better you skip this and download mod "https://www.nexusmods.com/risen3/mods/5", it should have more up to date textures. Obey that there is a redirect to the most recent files on the "Description" page/tab of that mod. 3. Unpack all files you will find in the "Mod Files.zip\Mod Files\" folder, to your "packed"-Folder inside your Game Folder ...SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Risen 3\data\packed 4. Unpack all files from the mod "https://www.nexusmods.com/risen3/mods/5" (downloaded at point 2) to the data folder of the Game. (Should be two folders "packed" and "ini"). Alternatively the downloaded pak files from "Textures Part 1 to 4" (see point 2) to ...SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Risen 3\data\packed 5. Download mod version "2.0 TEST 2" from this site and unpack it. Place didn't matter. 6. Execute "REE (no admin rights) 2.0 TEST.exe" or "R3 Real Enhanced Edition 2.0 TEST.exe" and choose the preferences you like. 7. Play the game
You could check if the Mod is working, when you have a look inside your ...SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Risen 3\data\packed folder. It will label the unused (not selcted) files, with "deactivated" in the end. So for example when you choose "High Resolution textures" in the Installer/Mod, you will see the files 6_na_img_z.pak, 7_na_img_z.pak, 8_na_img_z.pak, 9_na_img_z.pak. If you uncheck or not choose "High Resolution textures" in the Installer/Mod, you will see the files 6_na_img_z.pak.deactivated, 7_na_img_z.pak.deactivated, 8_na_img_z.pak.deactivated, 9_na_img_z.pak.deactivated, and so on.
You could restart the ...2.0 TEST.exe if you have chanced your opinion, and reconfigure it. (But I don't know what will happen when you are deep in the game ... mainly for the gameplay setting. Texture settings should'nt matter.)
For gameplay setting: As I undestand from the previous post "Enemy rebalaced" should be enjoyed with caution, because of the reduced XP.
Further thoughts For sound settings: If you do not like the new title music. Don't copy 1_na_snd.pak from Mod Files.zip to the game/packed folder. Or delete it if you have done it previously.
Light sources are definitely better in the "balance", because in this assembly it is very light in all caves. In the "balance", as stated, it is dark in the caves, where there is not enough lighting. Compare it yourself by replacing just one "documents" file.
