After you installed this unofficial patch you need to start a new game! Otherwise some functions will not work correctly. Challenges, scripts, and etc.

Heym it would be nice to get an update to this mod as i assume most of the community will move to "remaster" it would be cool to close the mod with recent improvements as 1 stop shop for fixed SR3
I'm so confused so how do you actually install it? Yes its an exe file but am I pointing it to the SR3 folder? Am I not installing it there and instead letting it install where the installer wants it to be? There's no instructions on how to actually properly install this it just says how to uninstall. In my time of modding I never had an installer point anywhere outside the games folder unless I had to copy a file over.
What would happen if I have it installed and want to play coop?
Would the game only search for other people with the same version as me? (due to being a patch) Would the game won't find anyone? Would the game find people as it would without the patch but the it won't sync properly due to the differences, like vehicles exploding for one player but don't exploding for the other?
Does this fix the bugs in "We're going to need guns" where 1) the choppers are for some reason just sitting on ground doing nothing and 2) pierce's chopper not moving after you board it?
Yes also it might not work properly on a remastered version of the game I never tried it on a remastered version of the game thought and have no idea yet if it will work or not.
It should work without some DLCs but some cool features of this mod might not be available but on the bright side you might get a bit of stuff from some DLCs that you don't have like vehicles some weapons and etc, it might appear in your game after you install this patch thought.
You can tell if it's working by going into whored mode and you should see a new character instead "Super" old one. Also you can see that your health no longer regenerates fast and you need to press a button now to pick up weapons on the ground and etc.

If its a bug then you could add a fix to it in the next patch version
Can this be installed using loose files?
by the way, i'm doing this on the linux version (Debian based distro, Linux Mint 20 Ulyana)
