Warehouse Always Open – Security & Reputation Notice
Issue With download / AV warnings and how to safely install the mod.
1. Why you might see a warning
Browser SmartScreen / Google Safe Browsing • Triggers on low‑reputation files (few downloads + no digital signature). • Message: “This file isn’t commonly downloaded and could be dangerous.”
Desktop Antivirus Heuristics • Flags DLLs that load into another process and modify code at run‑time. • All MelonLoader mods rely on Harmony patching, so this behaviour is expected.
AV quarantined the DLL? — Restore the file and add it to the whitelist / exclusions. — Recommended path to whitelist: ...\Schedule I\Mods\WarehouseAlwaysOpen.dll
Copy the DLL into your Mods folder, launch the game – done.
4. FAQ
“Can I double‑check?” • Absolutely: upload the DLL to VirusTotal or scan with any AV of your choice.
I am sure it is frustrating to deal with the false positive as a mod author. I sympathize, but I am going to hold off on the update until the reason for the false positive issue is updated.
I believe you that it is safe, but its also just not worth it, considering the recent news of that popular backpack bad being intentionally updated with malware.
I know, I understand those who don't want to update. I would never allow myself to add malware in my mods, I know it may seem trivial and I understand your point of view absolutely, but I don't understand what causes this false positive problem. I said it clearly, who is an expert and wants the code ask me or you are free to decompile my mod (Something already done by a guy, if you go to the community section of virus total you can see it and it was clean)
Idk i had a mod i downloaded a few months ago for KCD2 and it had one detection, thought may be false detection but ended up being malware, took all passwords. advise caution.
The false flag issue has finally been resolved. I completely understand where you, the users, are coming from — I feel that same bit of anxiety myself whenever I mod my own games. That’s why I’ve always tried to be as transparent as possible about my mod. I shared the VirusTotal results, including a report from a user who decompiled the mod. I also explained how to use tools like dnSpy to read through the code, and in some cases, I even provided the full source code folder, so you could view it cleanly and not in a decompiled state. I have a strong personal code of ethics, and I would never do anything to betray people’s trust. Sadly, we know there have been cases on Schedule where two very popular mods were updated with malware intentionally. That’s exactly why I believe platforms like Nexus Mods matter so much. They exist to allow people with technical knowledge to share their passion and skills with others — especially with users who may not know how to code a mod themselves. Modding isn’t just about changing a game; it’s about sharing, enhancing, and breathing new life into it through your own lens. And doing so with mutual respect and trust is what makes this community truly special. I hope you’ll consider downloading my mod now that the false positives from version 1.0.2.3b have been resolved, and that you’ll have fun with it. But if you decide not to, I’ll completely understand your choice — just as I respect the choices of every other user.
It sucks that there are freaks out there who wanna mess peoples stuff up for a quick buck. You modders are goated and have all my respect. Thanks for the work you do, king.
Heres the virus message from windows "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml" I dont feel comfortable downloading the update as long as this is happening, ive read the post. It doesnt change how i feel and im sure it doesnt help many others either
I want to point out that it's a false positive since on virus total and malwarebytes it doesn't detect anything. I am not such a person, I would never allow myself to put something malicious in my mods plus. It doesn't make sense to do it after 4 version, so I understand your or your point of view, and I don't ask you to trust or download it. If you don't feel like it I understand. But I can assure you that there is nothing malicious in my mods. You can give the code to an expert to run it through from top to bottom. The code is not obfuscated you just need a basic program like dnspy to decompile and read it.
I'm getting it too and not updating till i dont get a virus detected the only bug i deal with is knocking on the door instead of it opening but if you crouch it lets you open it at the right angle
Console Command options did not fix my issue with the warehouse mission. What did was disabling this mod, and then re-enabling it after I did the mission. I tried two new games to test this, got to the point each time without ever entering the warehouse. Knock would appear, but no one would answer. So I removed the mod after trying console commands without luck and having the mod disabled worked.
please make a mono/alt version i cant run main branch anymore on my pc, legit gettting between 4-10 fps reguardless of mods.. and your mod is a must have...
EDIT: I use "No Trash"mods and trash.json is always cleaned... the issue isnt trash.. i just need to migrate to mono/alt.. hence the request
is the mod known to have bad interactions with other mods? cuz im running really poorly with it, and im unsure if its just my other mods screwing with it. i will update this comment once ive tested. im on the newest.
update, it isnt. video: https://youtu.be/GvuDHHCRF2k logs: https://pastebin.com/MpbYZxyk
I encourage you to observe how other users, both in posts and bug reports, provide a detailed explanation of the issues they encounter. Simply stating “not working” without clarifying what exactly is failing, how it fails, and under what circumstances, makes your report unhelpful and lacking the necessary details for effective troubleshooting. Without this essential information, I am unable to offer any meaningful assistance; regrettably, your complaint comes across as unproductive.
Sorry, you'r right. I noticed that the mod wasn't working when playing with friends and after some test i saw that only the server host can use the mod.

In short, it won't happen. IL2 is where the mods are at, can't say why but that's how it is
