FOR ANYONE HAVING ISSUES GETTING PAST 6 PLAYERS OR 5 OR WHATEVER WHEN YOU CREATE OR HOST A LOBBY LAUNCH INTO YOUR SAVE BEFORE THEY JOIN. AND ENSURE THEY ARE THE HOSTS FRIEND!.... IF THE INVITE BUTTON DISAPPEARS HAVE THEM GO TO YOUR STEAM PAGE OR YOUR MESSAGES AND CLICK JOIN OR RIGHT CLICK YOU IN MESSAGES AND CLICK JOIN GAME
Updating to see if i have fixed people not showing up past 4 and potentially fixing the not being able to join issue. Do note that if anyone is using a cracked version you will not be able to join due to having different app ids when creating a steam server. in which case its not my mods issue its how steam works and is now your issue.
For any and everyone ill be updating this mod on the the alternate-beta as it should come with alot less issues for anyone trying to go over the 4 player cap with this mod. the dev did say there was issues trying to write saves to host pc's when creating new players(which may be a big cause as to why this mod is not working for everyone) i will be removing the need for the password as it does seem to not work from time to time(this will remove any "Security" and people will be able to join you if they are on your friends list). in the future ill be releasing a different version of this mod as a full overhaul to the multiplayer setup. now that alternate- beta is out hopefully for good or becomes the main thing in the future ill be making my mods this way from now on.
As of right now till an update 3.0 is out this mod wont work for alternate-beta so please don't try it
For those of you having the issue trying to get more than 5 people in, I (the host) did this.
Prerequisite: Make sure Schedule 1 is closed. Step 1: Go to your Steam library Step 2: Right click Schedule 1 and go to Properties Step 3: Under General, disable "Keep game's saves in the Steam Cloud for Schedule 1" Step 4: Relaunch game and do the steps on creating the lobby. Step 5. Invite and make sure all friends have joined the lobby before launching (I haven't tried inviting after loading, but I'm not taking chances). Step 6. Start Game.
Something to note, 2 of my friends had the right password and it said it was incorrect and was bugging, but they were in on their screen so I just started it and it worked. Hopefully this helps someone. I didn't read to see if someone else had posted this solution so sorry if it's repetitive.
5th player can't join (version mismatch) on pirate version of the game (v0.3.4f8 alternative). Maybe the fact that this isn't the original game is the main reason for this specific error...
Followed the steps and both alternate versions, having trouble getting 5 in the game.
Tried: Both alternate and alternate beta Joining game in lobby and after host loads
Getting version mismatch error despite them being the same. Once the 4th player leaves, dropping it to 3, the player having issues joining can join fine
this is for all the current comments below ill have to do a secondary test run when im not working i pre much spend all my time bug testing this mod on my days off and i work today and the next 3 after so ill be working on it in bits but i aslo work on my days off this comming week so ill be quite busy.
Getting version mismatch error. Everyone has the same version and mods are installed correctly showing 1/20 lobby sizes. It only occurs for the 5th person attempting to join. If someone leaves, a fourth is able to join again, and any 5th person will get the error.
we tried to get a 5 player game going but could not get it to work. tried having everyone join before starting, did not work. tried having people join after game had launched, did not work.
