So I'd like to cap my FPS on 145FPS (otherwise it might only reach 143FPS (at least that's how it is in any other game)), but in recent FROM games that would cause MANY issues. Is that still the case here? Are there any things that could happen while playing the game at >60FPS? I've heard the jumping is shorter (sounds true, cuz capping the FPS to something lower allows you to easily skip the Ogre boss-fight).
This will be the very last time I reply to this question, just skipping over a few pages answers this multiple times already. The games physics aren't bound to frame rate so unlocking them won't do any harm. In fact, the framerate on consoles is fluctuating without any fixed fps. There was no reason at all for FromSoftware to even include a frame lock in the first place. Thousands of players have completed the game with unlocked frame rate already, nobody has reported any problems or bugs.
If you are using G-Sync/FreeSync you should however cap your frame rate a few fps below your refresh rate or G-Sync /FreeSync will turn itself off before you even hit your max refresh rate. On a 144Hz Monitor you should cap to 138 fps. battle(non)sense had a video on that: https://youtu.be/L42nx6ubpfg?t=378 This is true for basically all G-Sync games.
due to how the game renders the HUD is limited to 16:9 even on 21:9 resolutions
FromSoft hardcoded the "red vignettes" to 16:9, you can remove them by replacing shaders but there is nothing I can do about it without modifying game files.
Got it working perfectly with fps unlock, custom res and GSYNC on app version 1.06 Note I got a "version 1.6.0" warning when first patching the game, but still works fine.
Followed the instructions exactly, including GSYNC section, with the addition of a few tweaks from the troubleshooting section: - had to 'disable fullscreen optimizations' in the exe properties - had to force VSYNC ON in the game's NVCP settings - also make sure to start the game first, then this mod.
Everything else followed the mod how-to. I'm on a 2070 Super with current driver (545.84). Not using Reshade, etc., nothing crazy.
Also note you can hit 'Display > Gsync indicator' in NVCP to help test. should see green 'G-SYNC' in top right.
It seemed to work yesterday...but today i cant even patch the game with this...it does absolutely nothing...tried doing many things like deleting those xml files it creates, reinstalling and sh\t...just bad

Thanks uberhalit! Game's a beaut!
I can confirm that this method works.
Run the program after you have already opened Sekiro. Or click on "patch game".
