please help me, I'm new to sekiro mod and I don't know what to do to install this mode, I already have the mod launcher, and I'm on steam 1.06. What file should I install? and i have to extract which one in my mode file
the guy above me is an ass, who simply doesnt wanna tell you how to install it for his own reasons (mabey he doesnt want you to play it) but the installation is simple enough that he shouldnt have even commented.
DO NOT USE MOD LAUNCHER. VERY IMPORTANT.
enter your sekiro directory (right click game on steam, browse local files)
once inside directory, create a new folder, and name it "mods" its very important that you name it "mods"
drop the mod files in your mods folder and the mod is installed, a word of caution though, this mod is obscenely difficult and I dont currently know if its beatable for non nohitters.
Sorry but the RNG in this mod is so f****** unbalanced. Like when did I have to pull out the Umbrella twice, hit him, and instantaneously afterwards I get comboed by Isshin better yet the kanji is delayed af. His first phase is dodge and attack repetitively and pray to god you don't have bad rng. His second phase is a bunch of large swoosh attacks that if you're lucky you can beat. I've beaten and gotten familiar with all the Isshin Mods, Resurrection, etc... Sometimes you don't even have time to react to his attacks and deflect. This is impossible. This is horribly made. Only good thing is spinning isshin after you die...
Thank you for the mod but I feel like I Can't beat it.
IIsshin just behaves too inconsistently in Phase 2, when he does weird overhead attack, I usually try blocking and countering with the Umbrella but sometimes he just keeps attacking, sometimes he staggers. I feel like I can't do anything Phase 2 outside of blocking, it feels like a game of luck on wether he'll actually get staggered by something or not..
And If I get to Phase 3 I straight up have no idea what to do, Lightning Reversals are now impossible for some reason, and Shock has a completely different effect, too. It's like I am getting punished for playiing the game.
Edit: I decided to give up after the tenth time the Mikiri Counter decided to not work. It's too random of a fight, it's a guessing game in Phase 2 where you get punished with death if you guess wrong. The instakill after getting Posture Broken is just the icing on the cake, like leave a player a goddamn chance please to reasses the situation and don't punish everything with essentially instant death. I also wished Inner Isshin was more aggressive but not like this. Apologies.
you know, instead of telling me to "git gud" you could give me some tips, maybe the fight isn't that random, maybe I'm overlooking something or something like that.
The lightning attack got me a little bit, but you just need to deflect, deflecting requires a better timing (which makes 100% sense since it's such a powerful attack it wouldn't make sense to just press a button without any real timing), and the lightning effect is really just a small damage over time thing to add a little of pressure. Also, phase 2 is fairly easy, keep looking at him at press R1 with caution and thank god for the ability to interrupt a R1 with a deflect which can really help to pretend you didn't attack when you shouldn't
Great new Isshin, brings a lot to the game. The fight itself is so heart racing and enjoyable once you master it. I've found out something though: if you have set Graphics Options -> Advanced Settings -> Effects Quality on Low, Isshin loses that black design from his AOE attacks, leaving him with only the default one, which is white.
// Couldn't bring myself not to defeat him damageless, that's how much I liked it.
So with the latest release if you open the umbrella while having the shocked (damage over time) status you get the shocked (large chunk of damage + long stun) status that almost always kills you instantly. Is this a glitch? Bc if not it's a horrible design choice
