Unsure why but this mod works everywhere BUT the tavern. The main character still looks like the original but only in the tavern. I've removed all other mods and it still does this. Any idea why? Vixen.fpk is in the custom folder
Also looks like it doesn't affect the main character while talking to governors either.
- Nevermind, I suspect this is part of the base game. Its an outfit but the face is still female (although a little squashed which is odd)
It should work in the tavern and when talking to the governor unless you have another mod installed, although the game uses a different model for those scenes (which wears the uniform of whichever nation controls the port). The model used for the character replacement has slightly different control points on the face, sometimes leading to a slightly 'off' appearance in those scenes. This is unfortunately unavoidable within the limitations of modding this game, unless someone was prepared to do a huge amount of work and was an expert in 3d modelling and animation using nifskope.
It was my mistake. The main character wears a uniform whenever they talk to people in the bar or the governor's mansion. It changes depending on the nationality you're talking to.
Is there any player voice replacements? Seems like at least some are still certainly male. I played around with audacity but couldn't really convert the voices to female.
Also, the governor will call you miss, but his daughter will call you Mr.
No voice replacements that I've encountered, and not sure what is going on with the daughter calling you mister but it'll be something in the text.ini that I missed (the document is rather unclear in places and I cannot find where the daughter chooses what to call you).
I found that the voice didn't really fit the female pirate, so I replaced all the files in /Assets/Sounds/duel/speech with blank wav files, and modified DuelOutroAmbWin-001.wav and a few others in /Assets/Sounds/duel/ where the player laughs, and cut that part out. I will post a file with all the replacements once I've done everything if that's of interest.
Or, replacing the duel player sounds with the dancer sounds.
It would be nice to have female voices instead but nothing is better than something in this case.

| Do loose files override FPK? I don't think they do, but I haven't had a good test of anything for a long time. I originally did all the work on this mod in 2012 or thereabouts, and have been mostly a little too busy with other things since then to get back into it.
I seem to have graphical issues with the talking to governors none of the textures line up the neck is much lighter than the face etc. Is this a known issue or is it a bug for a bad install?
Unfortunately both mods change the game textures. The only way to fix it would be to unpack both mods, replace the HD textures and then repackage the mod. I'm afraid I don't have time to do it these days, though it is do-able.
Luckily the HD mod is a loose file mod. And I think I found the offending file. there's one called pc_base_512, I think getting rid of that one fixes it mostly. there are a few others that have the PC's face on it, so I deleted those too and it works fine now. :D
