Reporting an Issue: You can report an issue here on Nexus, or even better directly on GitHub. It is important that if you want to report an issue, that you always include as much information as possible. In general, you should first read the above article "How To Report Issues Helpfully" - and provide us with your Debug Log "LOOTDebugLog.txt". If the Debug Log isn't provided, potential issues will only take longer to be resolved.
I was wondering if Oblivion Remaster will be supported by Loot - Load Order Optimisation Tool some point in the future, as it is essential to me as a Skyrim player.
IDK if there is a fix for this BUT...... I am having 2 issues with Starfield 1st it is saying that I have .ESLs ( and all files are listed as .ESM) and it is saying that This plugin is not a blueprint master and requires blueprint master "BlueprintShips-Starfield.esm", This can cause issues in-game, as this plugin will always load before "BlueprintShips-Starfiueld.esm". 2 parts to this 1. I have saved my load order in NMM to fix this AND no mater what I do LOOT wants to place it last. IDK what to do to correct this and could someone comment a link to a tutorial so I can learn how to fix this please.
BlueprintShips-Starfield.esm does have both the blueprint flag, as well as the master flag, making it a blueprint master. Blueprint masters load after every other non-blueprint master plugins - and since there are no other blueprint master plugins, BlueprintShips-Starfield.esm will always load at the end of your load order. LOOT does correctly display this situation.
It also doesn't matter, if you have other plugins in your load order, that have set BlueprintShips-Starfield.esm as one of their masters - this rule does get ignored in this case, which means, that these plugins with BlueprintShips-Starfield.esm as one of their masters, will not load after it. That's also the reason why you see the error message, that you quoted in bold letters in your post. It doesn't make sense for other plugins to have BlueprintShips-Starfield.esm as one of their masters, as such LOOTs tells you about these plugins.
If you want to learn more about blueprint masters, I would suggest to read this article.
I read the notes and I think that I understand what is being said. Given this I am still hunting for a mis categorized file that says it is an ESM but is reading as an ESL which is preventing LOOT frm sotring my list of mods for Starfield.
Please enable debug logging in LOOTs settings, reproduce the issue, and provide us with your resulting LOOTDebugLog.txt. See this article for more information.
I have been using LOOT fine for months and doing the updates as they come out. Before I got to the most recent update, my LOOT application suddenly refused to launch at all. This is both through MO2 and just as an independent application on my desktop. I have since updated to the latest version with no change in my luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Make sure to uninstall LOOT completely, including the LOOT folder in %localappdata% (in case you created your own sorting rules, backup the userlist.yaml file in there beforehand). Then try to install LOOT v0.25.2 once again. If it still doesn't work, see about installing the MSVC 2019 x64 redistributable manually (it is a requirement for LOOT), if you haven't done so already.
[Changed] LOOT’s translations are now licensed under the Creative Commons Zero 1.0 license. Some Chinese, French, and Polish translations have been removed as their authors did not respond to requests to relicense their contributions.
The Chinese translation included in LOOT v0.24.1 (and previous versions) has been removed for the above stated reason. The Chinese translation in v0.25.0 is a completely new translation, by a new translator. This is a work in progress and at this time, a lot of strings still need to be translated once again. If you want, you could contribute and help us translate LOOT into Chinese once again, see here. The license your translation would be under is CC0, the Creative Commons Zero 1.0 license.
Thanks, your new translation will be part of the next official version of LOOT. If you want to continue adding more translations, I would suggest to read this article that explaines a lot of stuff regarding working on translations. Especially the third bullet point in this subsection (the one regarding mnemonic shortcuts) will be important going forward.
Thank you for your guidance...... I'm ashamed that my English level can't understand it. One can only expect from other high-level English-speaking Chinese
GitHub Status doesn't report anything going wrong from GitHub's side and I just tested updating the masterlist myself with no issue either. I therefore would assume, that you are experiencing some temporary issues on your end.
You can turn off updating the masterlist before sorting in LOOTs options. In case you continue to see this error message while updating the masterlist, I would suggest to read the following article: Update masterlist errors
Complaint: Ambiguous Load Orders - I can accept that LOOT thinks my load order needs to be changed, goodness knows I'm not the expert. But your program refuses to tell me WHAT in particular is wrong with the load order, nor does it tell me WHAT it has changed. I can accidentally go into a sorting war between Vortex and LOOT and have no idea what the (censored) you guys are doing to my load order. If you guys have a problem with my load order, please SHOW ME what it is first so I can actually make the correction.
When adding a mod, made after November the 6 2024. Which relies or need https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12604 SKYUI. Then LOOT does not longer recognize your list and can't download or update the new masterlist, not that there's a new masterlist. Last is from 6-11-24. Problem is solved by re-installing SKYUI and starting the game and quiting again.
Something to do ,with a ambiguous load order. Which is a nice word of saying. I do recognize it, but can't order it. So you get this problem, if you download a mod which is newer then the latest masterlist and also depends on SKYUI.
Which mods are installed, or which versions of mods, shouldn't have any impact on LOOT's ability to update it's masterlist. Which mods are you talking about, that require SkyUI?
i get this error when i use vortex to install a new mod. if you go to the plugin tab you'll see the new plug-in will have "?" in the load order column.
use vortex to sort, then loot, prevents the loot error. (i have autosort disabled in vortex)
that said, i just upgraded to the latest loot and this behavior has been solved.
