Changelogs
Version 1.5
Note 1: The changelog is also available in video format, which may or may not contain clues about Denizens of Hjaalmarch (DoH).
Note 2: There is no mistake. LE is skipping from 1.3 to 1.5 to be (almost) in line with the changes in SE/AE.
Note 3: As DoH is being built on Denizens of Morthal's original esp until the very last minute, major disruption to the esp MUST be avoided. Launching an older version of the esp in the Creation Kit posed too much danger to the scripts and Dialogue View sectors. Thus, this update was created using xEdit alone. Some fixes from v1.5 for SE/AE are not included because of this. Example: I can only remove text, not add or alter it through xEdit when the character limit has already been hit. Removing factions from NPCs in xEdit proved to be another difficulty. Nonetheless, you have the most important fixes here.
Major Fix: You can once again confront Falion in the marsh during the unmarked quest Falion's Secret.
Crash Avoidance: Conditioned Erandur's candlelight spell to only be used in Nightcaller Temple
Crash Avoidance: Conditioned Benor's candlelight spell to only be used in Movarth's Lair
Removed Doesn't Bleed from Erandur
Added Erandur to the Potential Marriage Faction
Included the "Sorli Splice" audio fix that was previously released as a standalone file in thanks for Denizens reaching 1,000 Endorsements (on the SE/AE side).
Included Ulfr the Blind's fixed head mesh and face texture. Thanks again to Skybroom for originally pointing out the issue to me!
Relocated Valdimar's High Hrothgar letter so it no longer slips out of bounds.
Fixed Erandur's journal by removing a disruptive pagebreak that could cause certain players to not realize there was a final entry to the journal.
Recreated Lollia_DoM_LurbukBenor1__0005beb9_1 for the purposes of regenerating its LIP file. With all due respect for Benor's masterful grasp of ventriloquism, he should now hopefully move his mouth when giving voice to his final "Wow."
Fixed the height of certain DoM-added Idle Markers in Highmoon Hall. NPCs using Idle Wall Lean Markers 1 and 2 should no longer float.
Slightly edited Falion's letter to Jonna found under the bar counter in the Moorside.
Aslfur should no longer pester Benor to move back into his old home (Alva's House) if he (Benor) has married the PC. I THINK this is included for LE. My notes seem to indicate there was some trouble. Not a big deal if it isn't there, but if it is, then... huzzah!
Adjusted the spelling of two player dialogue lines while in a conversation with Erandur concerning Serana. A big thank you to Arumblingcoyote for pointing them out!
Added extra conditions to the "guard gossip" scene concerning Alva. Only true guards should take part in it. Korst, Abbard—do we have an understanding?
Version 1.3
Updated header to include version number 1.3 and repacked scripts for better installation and compatibility. Any patches (was there ever more than one created?) should still work just fine! This was more of a "housekeeping" update.
Version 1.0
Now begins an epic tale:
1.0 is the initial release version of Denizens.
Not long after its original upload, a kind soul offered to add some navmesh improvements--which pushed the mod to version 1.1.
These navmesh improvements were only for the SSE version, but I was so overjoyed that I immediately back-ported version 1.1 to LE.
Then, disaster struck.
Because the 1.1 esp had been passed to me without the protective shield of a winrar archive over Discord, the esp's name was slightly changed.
I fixed this as soon as possible, and it became version 1.2--which like its predecessor, I back-ported to LE.
Then my brain kicked in.
The water records are very different in SSE. There are xEdit tools to expedite fixing these problems, but they unfortunately only apply to porting mods TO SSE, not the other way around,.
So I sadly realized that I would have to revert LE''s version back to 1.0. And that's where we are as of 10/3/2021.
Not to worry, though. I personally play LE, so the 1.3 version of Denizens is being built upon the foundation of version 1.0.
Once the rest of the dialogue additions are complete, I will attempt to immerse myself in the study of navmeshing.
And that, my dear downloaders, is the tale of Denizens' various versions. Now for a note from THE FUTURE, otherwise known as July 16, 2023: All major changes and new features will be part of a new mod release called Denizens of Hjaalmarch, so the 1.3 that was uploaded on this date is NOT the same one that was being talked about in 2021.
