Just an FYI, I ported this myself (for personal use only) and it survived the porting process. The meshes and textures of both the sword and altar made it out fine.

Just wanted to list this here in case somebody wants to port this to SSE. I just followed a youtube tutorial on how to port and it worked.

Also, I don't mean to Necro this by any means.

Would you consider adding a sizable tranche of magical powers to this bad boy? It should have slaying and holy blade powers at least. :c)

Excalibur's only actual power is that it is indestructible and can cut through anything so if you wanted to give it powers then the only thing that would match its mythological description would be to make it ignore armour bonuses and magical defences. However it was also said to possess a magical scabbard that had tremendous healing powers, so strong in fact that it made its bearer almost immortal while carried.
On the other hand if you want to branch out you could represent it in the ancient Irish version of the sword, Caladbolg. That sword had the power to cut through entire armies and even cut the top off mountains. It also said to leave a rainbow like trail as it is swung. Now that would be truely epic to see.

The answer is NO for a few reasons jespee1965:
      1) I don't know how to do that. So don't ask me what I don't know how to do.
      2) Since it's blank, you can technically put whatever enchantments you want onto it. I recommend you put the Chaos Enchantment on it so it'd deal fire, ice, and lightning damage. You can also take it to a Forge and use the grind wheel to increase its damage to Legendary Quality, and then slap some enchantments on your armor to increase its damage further.
      3) The original mod author had it blank. Don't ask me why they did, they just did.
      4) Did I mention it's not a God item?
      5) I love NexusLord10's response.

      Not really into Lore or Mythology but here are my ideas;
      1) Excalibur in games are typically Holy Elemental so you could always open the file using the Creation Kit and give it the same enchantment Dawnbreaker has yourself
      2) Since Excalibur's scabbard has healing powers you could Enchant your own Absorb Health onto it
      3) In SAO (ALO part 2) Kirito uses elemental sword skills, so giving it the Chaos Enchantment like FluffyButt21 said is actually quite viable for this variant of Excalibur

Looks very nice, as a Sword Art fan I appreciate this mod. Although I already have an Excalibur mod in use I may still use this at some point.

As a bit of an expert on Arthurian legends I always feel the need to correct ppl when they make mistakes so please don't take this personally as it is mostly just my own issues. In your description you use the term "King Arthurian Legend" The tern is just Arthurian Legend, without the King. Or you can say Legends of King Arthur.
Also I am assuming you placed the sword buried in a pedestal in order to represent to Sword in The Stone idea however the Sword in the Stone and Excalibur are in fact two different swords. If you wish to truly represent Excalibur it should be in a lake, in the posession of a beautiful woman.
I cant help myself, I'm a bit anal about this sort of stuff. Sorry

I'm genuinely surprised at your lore and knowledge of King Arthur. Besides that, the mod is pretty much the same mod BasaraStyle made it. Allseeingeye2, upon me asking him, repaired the corrupted and missing files so it could work again. After testing and playing around with it in-game, we determined it worked again.

I believe I know which Excalibur mods you're talking about for Skyrim LE here (and possibly Skyrim SE), but that's a different topic. I'm going to lay down the lore here for you of Sword Art Online's version of the sword.

Excalibur was forged by the god of blacksmiths, Völundr. The King of the Frost Giant tribe «Thrym» temporarily transformed into a wolf and infiltrated Jötunheimr to steal it. He then threw Excalibur into «Urðr's Spring», a lake at the center of Jötunheimr where it impaled the World Tree and cut off its roots. At that moment, Jötunheimr lost the blessings from the Tree and quickly degenerated into a barren wasteland of frost. As the roots of the tree retracted to Jötunheimr's canopy, the frozen lake was pulled up along with the roots. Thus the large mass of ice reached the canopy of the world, where the ice dungeon was formed and later fashioned into Thrym's castle, Thrymheim. The great sword Excalibur, after impaling the roots of the Tree, became stuck at the bottom of the ice structure, where it keeps it from melting and the roots of the World Tree from regrowing.

When BasaraStyle made the mod, he was trying to replicate it as much as possible. It made sense that he chose it to be in a pedestal in Winterhold because it was a reference to the anime and manga series. And don't fret, I'm not cross with you or anything.

Nice to get a small reminder of the Sword Art story. While I am a fan I must admit it has been a long time since I read any of the books.

One of the things I always loved about the series is how it intermixed so many different mythologies into its story. Celtic and Norse mythology playing the biggest role in the Excalibur story.
Volundr is of course the norse god of Smithing. ( just Volund actually )
Jotunheimr is in simple terms the Norse land of the Giants
Uror is I suppose you could say a kind of god of fate or destiny who lived ( with his 2 brothers ) near the great tree Ygdrasil which was said to be the centre of all creation. Again Norse mythology.
Thrymheim is both Norse and Celtic and in both it is basicaly a land of Ice on top of a great mountain.

Other swords in the series came from norse mythology too. Eludicator came from Alfheim which is the norse land of the Elves.
And of course Mjolnir is there too. no need to tell anyone the history of that particular weapon lol

The books also contain weapons with Asian, Egyptian, Indian and even Mayan heritage.
I really must read them again soon...
