About this mod

Adds Brigitte (from before August 2019) from Overwatch as a playble race and a follower. I represented her abilities from Overwatch as I could with my limited modding knowledge, made a custom voice type for the follower and the player, made the follower heal the player when their health drops below a certain percentage and some other things.

IMPORTANT! Well, for me, i dunno about you. I might end up in a state where I won't be able to update the mod anymore because I live in Russia and... well... you know the thing most likely. Whether it be because of not having any free time because Russia's economy plummets so hard I'll have to work all the time just to survive and won't have any time for non-paid activites, being called an extremist and arrested for not wanting war or something else, I dunno, the world just seems to get crappier and crappier as time passes. In case that happens, I'm adding some concepts I have regarding future mod updates into the Narrative archive, maybe someone will pick this mod up and replace me once I'm put out of action. Which is highly unlikely but still. I mean the picking up and replacing being unlikely; me being put out of modding action is quite likely. Also, some time ago, even before this whole mess (and it was rather prophetic of me), I made a friend of mine promise he'll continue the mod if I, for whatever reason, won't be in a state to be able to do that myself. I'll leave his address so, in the unlikely scenario of someone else willing to continue the mod, cooperation between the two parties could be possible. Right now I'm doing acceptably fine but I'm writing this in case something changes so quickly and so drastically I won't be leave a note then. I also am prone to falling into apathy as I am but recent events made it a lot worse so I'm having trouble writing which means that writing the dialogue will be taking more time. Okay, back to the mod description.

Random fact: I never studied Engslish so my wording may get weird sometimes. Aaand I'm known for messing stuff up so use this mod with caution - it may or may not corrupt saves, break the game, melt your PC down and tear down the very fabric of time and cause a premature apocalypse. Always backup stuff!

Another random fact: Brigitte in Overwatch is nothing like she used to be and if you like Brigitte from this mod and decide to try out Overwatch to play Brigitte there... well, I'd recomment not to do that. It's horrible.

In stories, the heroes get the honor and glory. But their gleaming armor, their mighty weapons... the people who built them were heroes in their own right and I thought I was gonna follow in their footsteps. But a hammer and tools can't fix every problem. There are some things that can never be repaired. it's not enough to wait until the battle is over to fix their armor and bandage their wounds. If you can fight at their side, you can try to keep the blows from falling. Heh, and maybe even protect them from themselves. I am Brigitte Lindholm and I will be their shield!
That's from Brigitte's Origin Story. It's great, might check it out if you want to. Too bad it has no relation to Brigitte's state after August 2019. Anyways...

Features

Playable race with racial bonuses resembling Brigitte's abilities from Overwatch (as close as I could with my limited CK knowledge)
Follower with expanded capabilities - increasing allies' health, magicka and stamina regeneration, healing the player when their health is low and using a particulary powerful ability on command. When used with the Followers can Craft mod can forge and improve weapons and armor.
Both the race and the follower use a unique voice type: generic lines (like combat grunts) and follower dialogue made with voice lines from Overwatch and for Dragon Shouts I hired a voice actress to mimic Brigitte's voice
RaceMenu preset based on Minoos Knighthawk's (brandon3903's) ECE preset with adjusted hair and skin colors and a different skin texture
Custom body shape based on CBBE, buff but still womanly; also includes the BodySlide preset for it
A crappy guide to how to customize the mod to suit you better, now outdated due to the addition of MCM
Mod Configuration Menu that allows changing the power of racial bonuses
Should work with vampirism
Previews of the follower dialogues, currently in the form of a .docx so the dilaogue isn't actually in the mod; I'm mainly uploading this so people can read it and maybe give ideas and suggesitons. I really doubt I'm particulary good at character writing but maybe if it becomes a sort of a community effort with different people contributing even a teensy weensy little tiny bit it may end up very good; currently there are well over 10 000 words in the files but a big portion of them are commentaries and context; the actual dialogue lines are much less in number; also it isn't the final version, it may be changed due to new ideas coming up or the inability to implement in-game

Requirements

Dawnguard
Dragonborn
RaceCompatibility
XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended - XPMSE
HDT Physics Extensions
RaceMenu (for using the face preset)
BodySlide and Outfit Studio (for using body preset)
Followers can Craft (optional, if you want to be able to utilize the follower's smithing skills)
Expressive Facegen Morphs (you see, I had it installed when creating the  preset sooo trying to use it without this mod will probably be messed up, will have to make a new version of the preset; so if you're using the RaceMenu preset and the face shape doesn't look like in the screenshots consider installing EFM, if all is fine then don't bother; there is a comment by Helmut saying that it works fine so I guess it works fine but will leave this here just in case)
SkyUI (for MCM to work)

Recommended Mods
Individualized Shout Cooldowns (To get the most out of the Dragon Shout voiceover)
Main Menu Design Replacer (to use with background replacer, looks nice)
Brigitte Lindholm (Overwatch) ECE Preset (if you're using ECE instead of RaceMenu and don't want to switch, although I'm not sure if it's gonna work since it's for the nord race)

About Brigitte

Brigitte is from Sweden, daughter to Torbjorn and Ingird Lindholms. Her father is a great weapon engineer and from young age Brigitte showed great interest in engineering herslef, although she was mostly focused on armor and defensive systems. Another person who had a great influence on Brigitte was her godfather - Reinhadrt Wilhelm, 61-year-old german crusader and a good friend of the Lindholm family. Brgitte grew up listening to his stories of chivalry and heroes. When Reinhardt retired he decided to become a knight-errant on a quest to bring justice and Brigitte asked to joined him as his squire which he accepted.
At first Brigitte's job was just to maintain Reinhardt's equipment but more and more often she found herself taking care of the crusader himself - the man was old and spent most of his life fighting, hid body was beginning to break down and Brigitte tried to protect him when he got overenthusiastic.
Soon she realized that serving as a squire isn't enough. Brigitte asked Reinhardt to teach her how to fight, built her own suit of armor and began fighting at her godfather's side, trying to keep him safe. So the two of them traveled around trying to make the world a better place one fight at a time.

Now, regarding persoanlity there isn't a whole to tell because, due to the nature of Overwatch as a game, there isn't really a lot fo situation for characters to open up. Still, Brigitte appears to be a generally cheerful and upbeat person (also very caring but that should be obvious from her background). And a cat person. And she loves eating. Literally has a sleevles shirt saying "I like excercise because I love eating".

As for gameplay, prior to her so-called "rework" in August 2019 that was absolutely horrible in just about every possible way and has no right nor reason to exist, Brigitte was a hero from the support role dedicated to protecting teammates from enemy flankers and divers and was a support-tank hybrid although heavily leaning to the support side since she didn't have enough survivability to stay on the frontlines for long against a half-decent team. Long story short, she excelled at that because she was a strong duelist capable of fighting said flankers and divers off, had burst healing in the form of Repair Pack that could save a teammate from a brink of death, and posessed a stun and engage in the form of Shield Bash that allowed her to get right in the aggressor's face, drawing attention to herself. However, she also had lots of weaknesses like being obliterated by any ranged hero (which is almost any hero) unless she alreday is right in their face, having a lack of healing in the long run and others. Overall she was a niche hero that, as I said, excelled at protecting and defending and, as a secondary role, could reinforce the team's frontline for a short time when the situation was favorable but all the weaknesses and vulnerabilities prevented her from being anything else unles the enmy team was absolutely horrible.

About the race

Important!
I've put up a guide where I'm trying to explain how to customize the mod. I'm quite happy with the power level but I guess everyone has their own idea of perfectly balanced Skyrim and its mods so If something feels too weak or too strong you can follow the guide and fit the mod to your liking. Although I sometimes have trouble explaining things that seem obvious to me sooo... it's probably not great. Also writing it was quite boring and I tried to cut it short. Probably will try updating it later to be more... whatever is't called.
More improtant! With the addition of MCM a good chunk of the guide is now obsolete. Still has a few possibly useful points.

Height: 1.0 (about 5'10 or ~178 cm, yep, Brigitte's a tall girl)
Skill bonuses: 10 - Smithing (because Brigitte's an armor engineer and began learning it all the way back when she was a little kid), 5 - One-Handed (becasue Brigitte's weapon in Overwatch is a flail), Heavy Armor (because Brigitte wears heavy armor in Overwatch), Blocking (because Brigitte had a fairly powerful shield for a non-tank hero), Restoration (because she clearly has medic training) and Speechcarft (becasue she's a very lovely girl and people like her)
Voice type: custom, made from Overwatch voice lines and a voiceover by a voice actress hired specifically to mimic Brigitte's voice for Dragon Shouts. I tried reaching Matilda Smedius, Brigitte's actual voice actress, several times but didn't get a reply so had to settle down for an impressionist.
Best suited playstyle: Mace and shield fighter who buffs and heals allies although there are no penalties for other styles.
Shouldn't have issues with vampirism thanks to RaceCompatibility although I didn't test it properly.
Main file includes a RaceMenu preset that doesn't require other mods to make the player character somewhat resemble Brigitte's appearance.
Uses a custom body shape, goes from skinny and frail to curvy and buff. I mostly focused on the buff end, recommend using weight around 80-100
There are two hairstlyes coming with the mod - one has hanging hair thingies similar to the ones Brigitte has but the ponytail is massive and wavy, the other has a ponytail much like Brigitte's but no hanging hair thingies.

I tried to make racial powers resemble Brigitte's abilites from Overwatch as I could with my limited Creation Kit knowledge and in some cases took the liberty to alter them a bit. Here I'll be comparing Overwatch abilites (from before August 2019) to racial bonuses. Keep in mind that the power every ability can be changed in MCM.

Repair Pack
In Overwatch
, it was Brigitte's main healing ability. It didn't provide as much healing as Inspire over the course of a match but it was efficient healing. It had a 6 second cooldown, had a travel time, healed for 150 health (most non-tank heroes have 200 health, a few get to 250 and one has 300, tanks can go all the way up to 600) and any healing that went over maximium health was transformed into temporary armor (a type of health that takes less damage), up to 70 armor. Now, that might seem like a lot, like, holy hell, healing for 75% of someone's health but it actually isn't in context of Overwatch. Such a strong burst of healing was good at saving near dead allies but in the long run it was pretty weak because of its cooldown - 150 health every 6 seconds is 25 health every second on a single target. In comparison, Ana, another supprt hero, can shoot healing darts at allies, every dart healing for 75 health and having a rate of fire of 1 shot eevry 0.8 seconds which is 93.75 healing per second without taking reloading into account and ~80 healing per second with taking realoding into account. And as far as damage goes, there are heroes who can deal well over 150 damage per second, especially if they land headshots.

Repair Pack in Skyrim: increases target's magic resisatnce and armor and heals based on level. Can't be used on the same target more often that once in a set period of time. Uses visual effect of negative illusion spells so tracking the cooldown is more convenient.

I had no idea how to implement overhealing armor so used damage resistance isntead. Healing isn't set to 150 because Skyrim and Overwatch have very different numbers going on. Also, there is the issue of game stage - a balanced in the early game spell becomes very weak in late game and a balanced spell in the late game is overpowered (and there is no magicka cost to hold that back) so the healing starts low and increases as the game goes. Instead of a mana cost it has a cooldown because that's how it is in Overwatch. I only increased the default cooldown a bit since Skyrim is much slower-paced than Overwatch. Also, it's individual for every target and not universal becasue, again, no idea how to do it. I mean, I have but it will require scripts and I can't really do that.

Also, I've added posion resistance effect to the rest of the resistances. Back in 2019 I was naive enough to think Blizzard is trying to make Brigitte a better hero and doesn't just want to make her unplayable (which I was proven wrong later on) and tried coming up with suggestions on how to improve Brigitte's state. One of them was making Repair Pack counter the anti-healing effect (there is a support hero Ana who has a biotic grenade ability, enemies hit by it cannot be healed for a few seconds and it's a death sentence to tanks becasue the only way the can survive on the fronlines is being constantly pupmed heling into becasue their defences are low despite them being tanks and damage in Overwatch is extremely high). Aside from making Brigitte stronger this also made sense from the lore perspective becasue Repair Pack is called Reapir Pack, not Healing Pack. There are no anti-healing effects in Skyrim but there is posion. And for me they're kinda sorta similar becasue they're both some kind of nasty stuff that gets into your blood and does bad things to you (well, I assume that's how anti-healing works from lore perspective, I don't think it was ever elaborated). So yeah, here are we with RP having posion resistance. Also, I just want Brigitte to have nice things. God be witness here, she's only been getting bad ones for years and has no good ones left in Overwatch.

Inspire
In Overwatch,
it's a rather weak heal-over-time effect that is applied to nearby allies and Brigitte when she hits an enemy with her flail. It provides more healing than Repair Pack over the course of the match because it can heal the entire team at once but every teammate's individual healing is very low so it's not efficient healing and was there moslty to, in combation with Barrier Shield, provide Brigitte with an good amount of survivabilty for her role of a flanker repeller and slightly compensate for Repair Pack's horrible healing in the long run.

Inspire in Skyrim: landing a hit with a melee weapon for a brief moment applies a cloak to whoever you hit and that cloak apples Inspire to Brigitte and her nearby allies, increasing health, stamina and magicka regeneration by 75%; it also reduces the cooldown time between Shouts. Optionally you can also add healing to it via MCM; you might want that because NPCs don't benefit from health regeneration.

I changed the functionality so it suits the name better. Inspired people do stuff better, including fighting. Sure, healing will make you fight better but it's just so... bland. So I changed healing to health regeneration, added stamina and magicka regeration and Shout cooldown reduction. The last one miiiight be an overkill though. Yes, I'm overcompensating for the past two years.

Barrier Shield.
In Overwatch, it was Brigitte's main survivability tool and what enabled her to be good at fighting off flankers. It was a 500 health shield made from hard light (high-tech mumbo-jumbo from the Overwatch universe) that blocked enemy projectiles. Blocked projectiles depleted shield's health and after being fully depleted shield broke and cound't be used for some time. When not being in use for some time it slowly recovered lost health.
Sounds familiar? Yep, it's a lot like a ward with health. Still, no idea how to implement the health aspect and make it block arrows.

In Skyrim,
it's an oridnary ward. But with no mana cost and strength increasing with level. I'm hoping to some day make it block arrows like it blocks spells. Would be neat.

Shield Bash.
Quite self-explanatory. In Overwatch, Brigitte can charge forward and bash an enemy with her shield. It stunned the enemy, originally dealt 50 damage and like Barrier Shield enabled Brigitte to be good at dealing with flankers. Somewhen in very late 2018 or very early 2019 damage was reduced from 50 to 5 and ever since Brigitte was in an overnerfed state. She still was decent at dealing at flankers, and very good when compared to other supports, but she no longer was strong enough at it to justify a ton of drawbacks and weaknesses she had.

In Skyrim, bashing with a shield already is a thing.

Whip Shot.
In Overwatch,
Brigitte extends her flail's chain and sends its head forward, knocking back the first enemy hit and dealing 70 damage. This was the only way for her to deal damage outside of melee range and had a 4 second cooldown.

In Skyrim... yea-a-ah... this ability is never making its way into Skyrim. For obvious reasons.

Rally.
In Overwatch,
it's Brigitte's ultimate ability, It doesn't have a cooldown and isntead requires to be charged to be used. Charge is gained over time and by healing and dealing damage. For a short time Rally generates an aura around Brigitte that applies to her and her allies 30 temporary armor per second up to a cap of... 100 I think? Haven't played Brigitte for over two years, beginning to forget things. Anyways, it's a very weak ultimate ability, on par with with Mercy's Valkyrie which is the weakest support ult and one of the weakest ults in the game but prior to August 2019, especially prior to Shield Bash nerf it was offset by Brigitte's strong base kit.

Again, a bit bland for something called Rally. And again armor. Still no idea how to implement it just like in Overwatch. Same goes for the charge.

So in Skyrim, Rally is a power (can be used once a day) that increases the user's and their nearby (it's technically a cloak, radius is much larger than in Overwatch) allies' armor, magic resistance, attack speed and reduces spell costs. Buffs from the aura last some time after leaving its area of effect.

Crusader Training.
There is no such ability in Overwatch but I made this passive to respresent Brigitte's fairly high attack speed (1 swing every 0.6 seconds) and also to make maces not so painfully slow. And Brigitte in Overwatch fights with a flail that, when not swinged around, looks like a mace.

In Skyrim, it's a passive ability that increases attack speed but only when wielding a mace and a shield. And it stacks with attack speed from Rally. Haha mace go brrr.

Toughness.
Again, no such ability in Overwatch. I'm just accustomed to playing as a breton (that magic resistance really comes in handy on high difficulties and I usually play on Master) so I made this passive. Resist magic and frost. Frost because Sweden, viking heritage and stuff. Although I googled Sweden climate and it's actually pretty warm there (at least for me, I'm from Russia, hello -40 Celsium degree winter lol). Still kept frost resistance because reasons. Let Brigitte have nice things alright? Also with MCM you can make resistances equal to 0, effectively disabling them if you don't want them/

Follower info
Essential: yes
Marriable: no
Level: player level x1.25 (minimum 4)
Attribute growth: +10 health per level, +5 stamina per level, base health increased by 180, base stamina increased by 165
Skill developement: one-handed reaches 100 at level 38, smithing does that at level 50, block, heavy armor and restoration at level 52. Note that I'm talking about the follower's level and due to it having increased scaling player level will be lower assuming you didn't change level scaling in Creation Kit
Perks: Power Bash, Deadly Bash, Bone Breaker II, Armsman II, Juggernaut II, Savage Strike, Sweep, Devastating Blow, Fighting Stance, Elemental Protection, Deflect Arrows, Block Runner, Shield Wall II, Light Foot, Tower of Strength
Combat Style: aggressive fighter, heavily prefers melee weapons, doesn't use magic at all with the execpetion of Repair Pack (even if you teach her spells), attempts to heal the player with Repair Pack once every 10 seconds if their health is at or below 50% and they're in combat, will use Rally if commanded to do that
Voice Type:  custom, made from Overwatch voice lines
Location: Whiterun, Warmaiden's basement (newly made location, trapdoor is in the room behind the counter)
Equipment: Ironclad armor (enachanted dwarven armor that weights less and has less protection than iron armor so it can be swapped easier since followers won't equip new armor if their default one provides better protection), Rocket Flail (dwarven mace with increased reach and reduced damage and weight), Barrier Shield (dwarven shield with Spellbreaker's encahantment). Also some dwemer junk because Brigitte as an armor engineer would likely be interested in dwemer tech.
Uses the smaller ponytail hairstyle.

Known issues
Follower may sometimes try casting Repair Pack twice, however, due to its cooldown effect second cast doesn't do anything
Missing distraction voice lines for the Throw Voice shout (dunno how to do it, will look into it, the shout itself is fine though, only a bit too quiet)
The one word version of Throw Voice (which should sound like "Zul!") sounds like the first word from the two word version of it (which sounds like "Zul..."). Getting Dragon Shouts voiced was a very bumpy ride and took a very long time and at the end I was just happy it was over so I didn't press Alannah Fitzgerald to get the last one word correctly and reused an exisitng voice line.
Inspire and Rally used to trigger enemies in ambush positions (like draugr waiting isnide coffins) due to them not being considered hostile by the game. I adjusted conditions for Inspire and Rally to have effects only on the player's followers to prevent that but that leaves out many NPCs that are allies but aren't considered followers by the game (like soldiers in Civil Was battles or Anska from High Gate Ruins). I'll try experimenting with conditions for a better way to separate friends from foes while not triggering dormant enemies.
This one's a pretty nasty one. Whenever you load a save or open character editor menu, player character's face textures (if you chose Brigitte race as your race) switch to Skyrim's vanilla female face textures (or to whatever texture you're replacing them with). I haven't noticed this for a very long time because I'm using the same textures as a replacer. I have no idea what causes this nor how to fix it for good. It can be temporarily fixed by changing the player's face complexion but will go back on save load or charcater editor menu opening. Another option is to use Bijin textures as vanilla texture replacer or replace my mod's textures by the one you're using.

Questions you may want to ask and request you may want to make

Q: Will you make similar mods for other Overwatch heroes?
A: Unlikely. I grew to hate Creation Kit over the time I spent with it so I'd be happy not to bother with even slightly advanced modding ever again. If I do use it, it will be to improve this Brigitte mod and there is a lot of things to improve. Although just out of cursiosity I thought a little bit about how other heroes' kits could be implemented in Skyrim.

R: I want a nude version!
A: you ain't getting it from me, off to horny jail with you *bonk*

Future plans
I made this mod becasue I miss Brigitte, want her back very much and making a Skyrim mod for that is probably my best shot unless she is released as a hero for Heroes of the Storm (MOBA game that is a crossover of all Blizzard games) in her original protector role. I'm uploading it here just in case someone may like it. Yes, Skyrim and Overwatch are very different games and Skyrim doesn't really have situations where Brigitte shined and what made me fall in love with her. Okay, it actually wasn't like that. At first I saw her in the character selection screen (fun fact, I began playing Overwatch shortly after Brigitte's release, gotta love the coincidence) and was like "Damn, a melee character in a shooter? That's gonna suck! I mean, there's that huge dude in armor but he has a massive shield that can cover his entire team so there's how he can be very useful! But this girl's shield is tiny!). Weeelll, I wasn't completely wrong but since back then Overwatch was much more than just a shooter I was in for a big yet pleasant surpirse. Then I saw her Defender highlight into, probably the best intro in the game, where the viewer is lying on the ground, there are bullets flying, Brigitte runs up to the viewer, jumps over them, blocks the bullets with her shield, turns to the viewer, reached out to them with her free hand and smiles. When she smiled I was just like "Alright, I'm in love now" and began playing Brigitte, eventually falling in love with her gameplay too. She generally had to stay passive due to her attacks having very short range and her survivability being too low too stay on the frontlines for long unless the enemy team sucked hard and staying back throwing out a Reapir Pack from time to time was pretty boring, to be honest. But there were two things which did not just offset that but made Brigitte absoltely fantastic: first, protecting teammates from flankers not just by healing them like other supports did but by aggressively getting in the flanker's face and either forcing them to retreat or killing them becasue prior to August 2019 Brigitte was a very strong duelist; second, jumping in the frontline for a couple of seconds when the frontline was broken and allied tanks were falling back to push back the enemy engaging tank and buy some time for your tanks to recover, get their bearing and stand firm again. Frankly, I never felt as good playing a videogame as I did when doing those two things, they felt just that incredible. But all of that has been gone since August 2019, when so-called "rework" happened. And I've been missing Brigitte ever since. That makes over two and a half years by now.

There's a document with the ideas I have for the mod, primarily narrative-related, in the "Narrative" archive in misc files, read it if you're interested. Here's a shorter version of what this mod needs to be for me to hopefully be at peace again. While I absolutely love Brigitte as a character, her gameplay also is extremely important. And the thing is, the two things that make playing Brigitte so fantastic can't happen in Skyrim because Skyrim and Overwatch are two very different games (duh). So even having a playable race with Brigitte's voice and somewhat similar abilities is extremely unlikely to be enough. I'm hoping that maybe if she will be a highly detailed player companion that acts like a secondary protagonist it will make up for the gameplay difference but of course I have no way of knowing that for sure. I really doubt that I'll ever be at peace until Brigitte is back so there is no choice for me other than trying to make that detailed secondary protagonist anyway (although Overwathc's nature doesn't give a lot of space for characters to show their personalilties from different angles so there isn't much information on Brigitte's personality. I tried contacting Michael Chu, former Overwatch's lead writer, he quit a pretty long time ago and I hoped it was becasue he hated the degradation of Overwatch and didn't want to have anything with it and so maybe he'd agree to help an Overwatch fan to preserve a piece of old Overwatch and tell me more about Brigtte but I didn't get a reply so I'll have to make a lo of stuff up and there is no reason to believe I'm good with that). Most of any possible future updates will be regarding that but there are some other things.
  • First and foremost, Brigitte in Skyrim should be voiced by her original voice actress, Matilda Smedius, at least Dragon Shouts and other player sounds. I tried contacting her before, several times ago but never got a reply, not even a denial of my request. But I'm hoping that if I manage to make this mod very noticeable with people talking about it, I'll manage to get Matilda's attention.
  • Brigitte's hairstyle. The two hairstyles I used have quite similar parts to them but neither of them is quite on point. I tried contacting both of the KS Hairdos' authors to maybe get some help from them in mixing the two hairstyles up into one more similar to Brigitte's but that failed again. It's not all that bad though, as I decided to delay the hairstyle anyway because the hanging hair thingies from the Kaysa haristyle could be more accurate so I'm slowly going through hair mods for The Sims 4 looking for something more similar. No luck so far.
  • Brigitte's face. I really suck at sculpting so I can't do much here. However, I plan on looking into using face models from other games as fully functional faces in Skyrim (with expressions and all), if it turns out to be reasonably doable I'll be able to just use the Overwatch model of Brigitte or a model used in various 3d animations to have a 100% accurate face. Although it doesn't fit in Skyrim stylistically so it'd need adjustments. The same could be done with hair, actually.

Currently working on: writing dialogues, although I'm skipping many memory-based options (Brigitte saying things based on what she does and doesn't know, like asking what the hell does Delphine has to do with dragons when meeting her in Sky Haven Temple in her Blade armor and never witnessing the prior main questline events) because I have to focus much harder when going through quests to find every point at which Brigitte can be introduced to the quest/questline for the first time and it also is very repetitive and therefore boring and it all combos into mentally tiring me out much quicker and I'm likely running out of time I can spend on developing the mod, and I'm also began using VASynth to generate voice lines for NPC so I'm adding them into dialogues; also slowly going through hair mods for The Sims 4 looking for a more fitting hairstyle. I'm not going to be modding dialogues in until I've written them all because there will likely be a lot of intertwining so I want to first have a list of everyhting that intertwines and I'll also need to go through all the dialogue several in the end checking for holes and inconsistencies and generally polishing it and that's gonna be easier in a word document.

I'll also try fixing bugs if any occur but that might be problematic with my limited Creation Kit knowledge.

List of priorities:
1. Getting Dragon Shouts and generic player sounds voiced by Brigitte's original voice actress, Matilda Smedius. Always top priority but since I still haven't recieved any kind of answer from her the only thing I can do about is to keep expanding the mod in hopes it will help somehow.
2. Dialogues and commmentaries with easy to do conditions like being in a certain location of having a certain quest completed
3. More advanced dialogues and commentaries, including dialogue with other NPCs
4. Specializations
5. Maybe add interactions with other followers? Like dialogue with them and protecting them in combat
6. Getting voiced said dialogues and commentaries. Good luck me getting enough money for that lol.
try crowdfounding maybe, I mean I'm going to do this the very last when the rest of the mod will be ready and by that point it's going to be pretty big so I guess crowdfunding might not be a total failure and I could get like 5 bucks or something from it and so I will need to pay only 995 bucks from my own wallet. stonks.

Special thanks to, wishing all the best and lots of love to:
Tasheni for allowing me to use AI packages from her follower mod as examples for how to make a healing follower
kingharvest for pointing me towards a way to make Inspire trigger from weapon attacks
foamyesque for telling my dumb butt that I don't need a script to have scaling with level spells and that I can achieve that with conditions
SailingRebel for helping with Inspire and Rally issues where they triggered enemies
rkkn for adding additional features to MCM even though that wasn't part of the deal

Special screw-yous, wishing all the worst, lots of hate and two middle fingers to
Blizzard Entertainement, Overwatch team in particular, especially Jeff Kaplan (former Overwatch game director who's been destroying Overwatch or allowing it to be being destroyed since ~mid 2018) and Aaron Keller (current Overwatch game director who's been director for about a year now but no just still hasn't done anything to fix the damage done to Overwatch during Kaplan's time but is palnning on ruining Overwatch, and also Brigitte, even more than they already are)
Also, they owe me 40 bucks and 600 rubles that I so far spent on this mod and whatever I paid for Overwatch

If you want to thank me for some reason
even though this mod isn't anything special, at least yet, you're weird but okay. The best way to do that would be leaving a commentary saying that you like Brigitte (not necessarily the mod but Brigitte herself) or and endorsement or something. I hope that maybe if there will be a fairly large amount of people who'll like Brigitte it would help convincing Matilda Smedius to voice this mod which would be awesome. Unfortuantely, this mod isn't much so getting lots of attention is extremely unlikely... welp, guess I have a reason to expand it. If you have any idea or suggestions or know some details about the game's loactions or quests that could be commented on by the follower, I'd appreciate if you shared them as it could help me writing better or/and more dialogue.

Other than that, if you know anyone who played Brigitte prior to her rework and was driven away by it (just like I did), tell them about this mod even if they're not really into Skyrim (yes, it's miles behind of what Brigitte used to be in Overwatch but it also is miles ahead of what Brigitte is in Overwatch and there's approximately a 99,(99)% chance that it will never get better for her in Overwatch). Maybe they'll be glad to play Brigitte at least in this form after she's been effectively deleted for over two years. I'd post about the mod on the Overwatch forum but it seems that there are no real Brigitte players left there. Can't really blame them, Blizzard ignored all the negative feedback regrarding the rework, then ignored  the fact that the rework made Brigitte absolute trash unless played in a team of grandmasters (a few hundred best players in the world), then, since grandmasters still managed to get value out of Brigitte, Blizzard kept nerfing her for another year with every nerf meeting even more negative feedback that was ingored too which continued until grandmasters began getting value out of Brigitte only in very niche scenarios and for basically the entire playerbase she was like super mega uber omega garbage and if you as much as mention Brigitte being weak on official game forums a lot of Brigitte haters will pop up lying like no tomoroow about how "fine" she is. I might be the only one crazy and obsessed enough to stick around wishing for this whole thing to be reverted. I know it's not gonna happen becasue Blizzard doesn't give a flying bleep about players but still keep checking patch notes becasue I'm just insane in the brain I guess.

And if you're interested in trying Overwatch out, I'd highly recommend not to do that. Seriously. And not just because Blizzard is an exceptionally awful company. Even if you don't care about that it's still a bad idea to get invested into Overwatch. It used to be a great game but it's been degrading for years, not stagnating, degrading and there is no reason to believe that it will ever change for the best. In fact, a big update is coming and from what is known about it it'll make the game EVEN WORSE. Hey, I'd love to love Overwatch and would be happy to enjoy it again like i did in 2018-first half of 2019 but its very core that made it so awesome and special back then was heavily undermined. Not completely destroyed yet, but heavily undermined. And Blizzard does absolutely nothing to fix that. I suppose if you haven't played Overwatch several years ago and didn't experience how good it was modern Overwatch won't seem as terrible but buying it is still a bad idea because Blizzard plans on a "Overwatch 2 PvP update" that, from what is known about it, will make the game even worse.

However. However. Blizzard, as well as all other companies that are part of Activision-Blizzard, will be coming into Microsoft's posession. It cost Microsoft several tens of billions of dollars (70, if I recall correctly) which is a ton of money so I doubt Microsoft just bought it all for it to stand on a shelf looking pretty. Hopefully, Microsoft grabs Blizzard by the family jewels and the games of the latter will stop degrading and start improving. I absolutely loved Overwatch from 2018 and would be more than happy to play Overwatch again if it becomes similar to what it used to be back then. Although, while change is likely, it's not guaranteed that Overwatch philosophy will go back to what it used to be. I'm failry confident Microsoft will be interested in Overwatch becoming a good again because it can provide a ton of profit but games can be good in different ways so Overwatch might not get reverted back to the gamedesign it used to have. Even if it does it's also not guaranteed that Brigitte's rework will be reverted due to a seemingly widespread lie about pre-rework Brigitte being overpowered and game-breaking. I've went through why it's a lie plenty of times and am quite sick of it so I'm not going to repeat it here again but if you're no going to believe my word I can explain it if you ask. And even if it gets reverted, Microsoft doesn't yet control Blizzard and it will take time, possibly a lot of it, for the deal to close. So even if positive changes will be coming, they won't be coming soon.

Well, I hope i didn't forget anything. I tend to be absent-minded so that's not unlikely. And I sure hope I didn't mess up with packing up the mod, that would be embarassing.

Changelog
1.0 - release
1.1 - added missing texture paths
1.2 - changed the freckle texture to Zhoken's
1.3 - added the tattoo, moved the follower to Warmaiden's basement, added a few lines of dialogue (unvoiced for now), fixed Inspire and Rally, added poison resistance to Repair Pack
1.4 - removed magicka cost of Repair Pack that became a thing after adding posion resistance to it, added a spell that allows teleporting the follower to the player, added a spell that allows to command the follower to use Rally, fixed (hopefully) an issue where all dwarven shields in the game were replaced by the follower's shield
1.5 - added an introduction dialogue with the follower when she's first met, although rather unpolished and not voiced because I'm hoping to eventually replace it to fit the narrative of first meeting Brigitte in Helgen (see Future Plans) duiring Alduin's attack or in Riverwood after it for compatibility with alternate starts and I don't have the money to pay for voicing lines that will be removed.
1.6, first major milestone - got a mod configuration menu added so racial powers can be conveniently changed in-game without the need to go into Creation Kit

I don't hang around NexusMods a lot so messaging my account here will likely take a long time to get an answer. I also don't hang a lot around my email to get notifications of incoming messages. I do hang out around Steam a lot, though. And to a lesser extent Discord.
