Really cool idea, will be tracking this mod as it will add a lot to immersion. Unfortunately as is it doesn't work. crafting the mace shows a red triangle and white exclamation mark in the inventory and when equipping it so missing texture or something, the mod also makes all butterflies, torch bugs, etc disappear from the game lol. Was driving me nuts looking for a torchbug for my lantern with a new game and couldn't figure out why none were out, then no butterflies during the day, figured out it was this mod that made them all disappear from the game. Will be tracking the mod though, good luck.
Try new version 1.1. Rmemeber that when you hit a bug, 50% of chance bug dissapears (to simulate bug escaping), and 50% change you catch him, remembr to attack while flying, is not easy to hit really.
I'll give it a try now, Ill try it on a new save. The issue wasn't that the bugs were disappearing when i try to capture them, all bugs in skyrim never spawned in once i tried the mod lol. No butterflies, torchbugs etc, my game is free of bugs, I went all over to different zones and no bugs anywhere. I'll let ya know how the new version works, Thanx.
EDIT: K tried out a few different things. First the new version fixed the missing mesh/textrue, net is no longer a red triangle with white exclamation mark, net looks good. New version fixed that isssue. Second, still no bugs in game. I tried a new save net shows but no bugs, i disabled the esp and started another new save, still no bugs even with esp deactivated. Next I deactivated the whole mod not just the esp and started another new save and this time the game has bugs again. All saves were tested on the road between horningbrew meadery and whiterun sables. Good spot for insects. In MO2 it showed no conflicts, nothing overriding the mod and the mod overriding nothing, tried with esp where loot put it and with it all the way at the bottom, but it doesn't seem to be the esp as even with it deactived I had no bugs in game, not untill the mod was disabled completely did I have bugs in game again.
EDIT2: Another thing I noticed, I loaded up my original character that had the mod on it, I loaded it without the mod active or it's esp and cleaned the save of orphaned scripts. The save still has no bugs in game. So once the mod is activated all bugs are removed from the game on that save and even removing mod and cleaning the save didn't return bugs to the game (no butterflies, torchbugs, dragonflies, etc) So the only way I was able to get bugs back into the game is on a new save that never had the mod active. Hope all this testing/info helps narrow down the issue for ya, looking forward to future updates to this cool idea of a mod.
That did the trick, My game has insects again while running this mod. I was unable to capture any butterflies lol. It's either very hard to capture them or something else is going on there. I tried for maybe 5 minutes tops swinging at the butterflies near honningbrew meadery and was unsuccessful at getting even one lol. I'll test some more in awhile and see if im able to get even one butterfly. It may just be me.
