How to start? Do I have be a certain level or does a courier deliver a letter? I don't need any hand-holding, just a hint. Or is this for roleplaying purposes like your Steampunk mod? Thanks
IF installed properly at the start of a new game, you will find a book at the Standing stones on the way to Riverwood with whoever you travel with, or not :) You will find the gear when you use a tanning rack.
Just a little update, been using it now for a while. I like the book at the standing stones, very useful early on. I also enjoy the fact that every time I get someone sending me on a mission, I leave a receipt. Thus, I get rewarded and only kill the targets that I feel truly deserve killing. Unless of necessity they rouse my ire. I hope you are considering expanding this mod, but if not thanks for putting it out here. (Hint: it would be nice if I get more contacts and contracts because someone (Found) my signed receipts. One can only hope.)
Why didn't I find these when I was still playing Oldrim? WHY!!!! I know it's a stupid question, but you wouldn't be interested in porting them over to SE/AE would you? And really, I'm not expecting a yes :)
OOOO K, Before I take the Black, how does this mod affect the original AssGuild? As was said, sometimes a post lacks, elegance. Most people who like to play assassins might have it already heavily modded, how does this mod affect them, load order might be of some importance. Don't take it wrong, I love the concept, but more information is required before most might want to risk adding it.
Reasonable questions. Nothing in this mod overwrites or replaces anything in the original game, and since it works with a .bsa file rather than separate meshes and textures I don't see how it could interfere with other mods. (I'm planning an update which will add one script, but that too should be safe.) Wherever I've tweaked something in the original game or an existing used-by-permission mod, I've done so by making a copy and editing the copy rather than the original. Load order shouldn't matter, since everything in this mod uses models and textures included within the bsa file and objects or effects included in the esp; nothing depends on any source outside the mod. The only possible conflict I can think of is that another mod might use a similar name for something, in which case you'd get some duplication in your menus -- but even in that case both versions should work. In any event, if you find it causing problems you should be able to uninstall it safely, just removing the .bsa and .esp files. (In the coming update, a script will be added separately, which might require attention; though I'd be astonished if it overwrites anything, so you could just ignore it.) With specific reference to the Dark Brotherhood, I've intentionally made no connection with it. I've wanted to leave open the possibility that you might decide the Dark Brotherhood is an ungentlemanly slur on your profession, and take the contract to eliminate it.
Excellent, thank you for the information. I shall test it out. No conflicts except for a minor in Ass Guild's Alt=Mod against your script, just followed Vortex suggestion for load order and warning is gone.

Good Luck on your mod.
