All I can think of now is to disable her Starts Dead record flag in 64EAF, but you probably need to do some scripting to change the quest outcome. Otherwise, it might either break the quest or create inconsistencies.
Tested the mod on a new save, and it doesn't work. Necromancers didn't spawn in the final room, and there were 2 Larina (the one in the cell still used the original ref ID; the idling one outside had a new ref ID). The dungeon quest proceeded normally when I turned off this mod
Update: The scripted death must happen to make those necromancers spawn, so I let the new Prisoner NPC take Larina's place by adding another placed NPC in Cell - a bunch of subgroups - HobsFallCave01 - persistent, which is also a duplicate of 8019c except for its base since it must be Prisoner's form ID instead of Larina's. In Quest - dunHobsFallQST - Aliases, revert everything to its setting and then put the new ref ID in Alias #3 and #4's forced reference categories. Since Prisoner will be the new Larina, turn off the protected flag and turn on the respawn flag. PC level mult can be turned off, and you can also decrease her hp, magicka, and stamina if she gets revived by the necromancers (they ignored her and revived the generic NPCs instead during my test playthrough, but it's better to be safe than sorry... unless you want to turn it into an interesting boss fight of course, especially since the revive spell only checks NPCs' levels).
As for the duplicated Larina added by this mod, just remove the placed NPC record in Tempereary subgroup. All of these were done in TES5Edit. CK is not needed.
love this idea, thanks! at the beginning of that vanilla quest when u go into hobbs cave, u will here larina's voice yelling for help. i'm not sure if it's just an audio trigger or if it's the actual larina npc w/ vanilla formid. do u think installing this mod will break that audio?
But you have already made a Larina follower In 2020 , updated in july 2022 ( and the updated version was better ) . This one has the face of your older version .
this is the real Larina from the source code but with the improved appearance and with a follower voice, only she gets a little dizzy so you hit her and she regains her composure and you can recruit her

I have changed the voice of Larina that should be dead and I have modified the quest so that she lives. I added another prisoner so that she will be a distraction from the necromancers. After killing the necromantic wizards, if she doesn't talk, just hit her to bring her senses back and now you can recruit her. .
She is not Standalone if she has no body meshes and body textures of her own is she. Standalone Means she needs no other files, she should have every file she needs in the mod, Fully Independent.. Also most people cleared Hobbs Fall years ago haha...
