So am I just missing something? I have found three locked doors that I haven't been able to find a key to and I have a key (secret escape key) that I haven't found a door that it unlocks.
I love this mod! It really gives me the feeling of being unreachable with all those gates and traps and dwarven machine guards, hidden in the deepest, biggest, and best-hidden cavern in all of Skyrim There are plenty of doors though that are locked "by key" that don't lead anywhere. Also, the bedroom as well as some other areas could be a bit spiced up, I understand the vibe of an extra reclusive dwarven castle with just the essentials, but still.! I would love to see an update to this mod, I hope the mod author has is still working on it, or has plans to release an update at some point. Great job!
Didn't you read the mod description? Those nasty traps keep all the creatures of Blackreach out of your house! Also, there's a way to navigate around the traps, instead of traveling directly up the middle of the spinning blade traps, head to the right, and then time it correctly to maneuver around the second set before heading to left side and continuing your ascent. If the flame traps are also a problem for you, find armor/jewelry with a flame resistance enchantment on it.
The major update is coming soon. This home will be a proper dwarven home. This will be compatible with SSE and Skyrim VR and as far as I know, with all other mods. The world cells I edited are the least intrusive possible. I run over 300+ mods on my game with no issues. I have expanded the halls and included greater detail/density. I have taken suggestions from the comments to keep the lore.
Do keep in mind I work longer than full time. I take my work seriously. (a perfect world would include employment from Bethesda. 3D model, texture, light, program, particle VFX, sound engineer, composite/render, and I learn on the spot.) All I need is to be given a shot.
Don't know if anyone still reads these as it seems pretty dead. I actually think this is a really cool idea, as this seems to be one of the only home mods in black reach. Getting in was a little frustrating and all the randome npcs that are just there is a little immersion breaking but I can role play that. My main problem is the door teleport markers seem messed up and followers won't follow me through any of the door portals so I have to teleport them in with aft. Is anyone else have this problem? Should be a simple fix if it is a door marker problem. I have little knowledge of the creation kit but I found that other mof creators have a similar problem and were able to fix it. Hope this gets updated one final time! Thanks to the author for creating a unique home in blackreach.
Thank you for using my mod. I'm glad you enjoy it. The random NPCs are blacksmiths, wizards and alchemists who work for you and have set tasks in the fortress. They don't go to the upper levels in the private sectors. (Except for guards) The issues your having with followers is normal. I purposely set that so enemies couldn't get into the fortress. I'll update this mod one more time in the distant future. I have some additions I never released.
