If you are able, i suggest to use Dual Sheath Redux by Neovalen, as it does not suffer from all bugs DSpSoP have and seems to work significantly faster.
I've come back to using DSPSOB from Dual sheath redux as i found that DSR no matter how "to the letter" you follow the instructions for installing and running DSR you 1, don't get anything dual sheathed, 2 weapons don't appear on the back if you go for that option, 3 shields vanilla or otherwise are always on the arm not the back, 4 the uninstalation of dsr is a pain in the ass of massive proportion as they fail to mention the script that needs to either be manually removed and cleaned from your save to avoid infinite load screens.
DSPSOB WORKS
ok it has tiny glitches here and there but it works I can also confirm that it works with xpms maximum skeleton without needing to edit skeleton nodes, run patchers it also works with left hand rings without unequipping them
if i could even fathom why npcs appear to have floating swords at a distance i myself would fix and release a patch for it (but i haven't a clue what causes it)
in all honesty if i had the time available i'd personally undertake making packs for custom weapons and shields for DSPSOB (with original authors consent of course)
bottom line is DSPOB works and works well once you've added the spell DSR on the other hand does not
I would but I tried to get that but that skyrim script extender crap didn't work that's required when I tried installing that from its website, honestly, if its THAT important to mods on hear, cant the script extender thing be on hear? it would be so much easier and I would use Neovalen's version, but il just stick with your for now, now if the Zelda shields from the Zelda mod workd... awesome mod by the way!
Skyrim Script Extender literally comes with an installer, and the author has explicitly stated that SKSE remains on it's own webpage, and should not be uploaded anywhere else.
To everyone looking to download this mod, download Dual Sheath Redux instead. It has full DLC support, as well as patches for many other mods, and it isn't that hard to get working anyway if you are attentive.
I'm having a bit of trouble with 1 of my animation mods, I can't seem to find the mod which I need for the 1-handed weapons on back draw animations to work.
How does DSR suck? Were you unable to get it to work? I've gotten it to work just fine and it seems to be far more compatible with all DLC's and many other mods as well. DSR does what this mod provides and more. This mod hasn't been updated in quite a long time, which causes it to be limited to its overall use and viability as a mod.
To be honest this mod is trash i followed everything and even watched videos on how to get this mod to work, and it didnt always sheathe and not 2 of the same weapons cant even sheathe they disapear, and now that ive uninstalled it evrytime i shethe my wepon it still does the animation for putting it on my back and sheathes on my side
thats bull s#*! week i been trying 2 get the mod 2 work, i watch the video they post i did what he did, It dont work the onlything working is the Anime for pull them off my back, DSR sucks, I got it I removed all my mods did a frash install of just the XPS32 Skel, used the IA mod as well used the FNIS mods are installed everthing but the PCEA 2 mod. but i did have that in there as well at one time, I even lost the anime for pull the s#*! off my back, I watch the video i installed the way it showed, Some forms say ita other mod from a site there not saying but i say 2 them bite me as added the modds needed for DSR 2 work, Realist ragdoll and force as well,
Sorry, but that isn't true. I admit I had issues at first because I messed up the installation of DSR however once I got it working and added HDT/TBB/TBBP (HDT is the main jiggle type I use for the body and the others are from certain armor/clothes mods) without ever having issues. If the jiggle mod overwrites anything from the skeleton mod then it means you have to put the skeleton mod at a higher priority, or just reinstall the sleketon entirelly. (P.S. If you install your mods manually this might not apply. I wouldn't know as I use Mod Organizer.)
In some cases the custom character has a custom skeleton then you actually need to replace certain files in that mod with the one's from a compatible skeleton mod. It's easy and may only take some times if you spend a lot of it researching and checking things about compatibility or whatever.
But first and foremost always make sure your load order isn't botchled, that there are no other mod conflicts and that the issue at hands isn't from Skyrim being too unstable or due to another mod's bug(s).
Seriously tho, do not go and call mods crap or s**t because that's disrespectfull and uncalled for seeing how others do get it to work as intended. Mod authors do this for free on their free time and I don't think anyone likes reading people being pricks and dismissing rudely their work because they setup isn't ideal or because they messed up ( I am not saying that's the case for everyone, but lets be serious some people don't bother reading the descriptions and installation instructions, screw up and then get really pissy and attack the mod/author because of their own mistake). You have a right to be angry, but saying such things about a mod just isn't the solution - again not in the case where said mod works for a number of people; however if it doesn't work for anyone and the author refuses to debug it then by all means buycot the mod as much as you want. Everyone has a different set up and if you can't get a mod to work other can use just report it and maybe try to find out why, or not - it's your choice. But stay civil and polite because if not for these mod author's sharing their work we wouldn't have them.
Please create a SSE version for bethesda.net, i also would love to use this mod with "The temple of time" mod by "WallaceMacDuich" https://mods.bethesda.net/#en/workshop/skyrim/mod-detail/3092734 ...Me and about hundreds of others im sure are searching for a mod such as this, Endorsement pending on functionality ofcourse, Bethesda.net has a rating system which im sure you can gain significant reputation with a mod such as this, right now it's still fresh and is currently in high demand,...choice is always yours
Try All Geared Up Derivative instead: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/99250 Does everything DSR does but better and with an automatic mesh generator script. Supports unequipped Shields/Left-hand favorites as well.
I works for me if I use two swords or 2 daggers. But I like to use a sword on my right hand and dagger/axe for my left hand. And it doesn't work. I guess it's only for the same weapons. But it's good, awesome
Hi, this mod is awesome, can you create also the Achilles shield for fits on back? This is the mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/101376?tab=files
The shield is in Follower - Armor
The mod is mine, but I'm not able to create back shields...
My problem is that i that all my shields have the correct texture when i had it on my hand but when i put it on my back they all got the same textures...can someone help ?
My shield has stopped going on my back and is once again staying in my left hand. No matter how many times I try drawing and sheathing, it won't go on my back anymore. The mod had been working for a while. What can I do to get it to work again?
Download and install the XP32 skeleton (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26800). Adding the skeleton actually makes it work the way it was intended. Place the esp at the end of your load order so nothing else overwrites it.

Do you know where I can find this mod?
