Thank you for your great work. I converted the mod to me and it works. But unfortunately there are always texture defects in the carriages. Can you please convert your work for SE? Thank you for your help.

Anyone know if there's a way to get this to be compatable with Immersive horses? I'm really hoping my load order is what's holding me back here and not flat-out incompatability.

Great mod, makes the horses more like the light draft Roman riding horses and not like the huge draft breeds that only do well with pulling heavy loads at a slow pace.

Any chance you might port this and update for Skyrim SE? Or write a tutorial on how to change horse meshes?

This mod is great and all but Skyrim horses are not normal horses they are ponies if you google up a picture of Icelandic ponies you would see that
and they are bulky because Skyrim is cold as all hell

And their legs are fine Icelandic ponies have fat little legs and that is the reason why they are the strongest horses around

You're not wrong, but some people just prefer a slimmer look in more customized games and not everyone cares for such accuracy. It's just preference, and this sculpting seems like a good middle ground for slimmer horses without them seeming too misplaced for the environment.

Historically, Vikings often did use ponies. They very rarely used horses (the only recorded Viking use of actual war horses in large scale battles was in the 11th Century). This wasn't because horses were not well accustomed to the environment. After all, most of Scandinavia is not that cold. Vikings did not have large access to horses, since the breeding of war horses was an art that started in Rome, and became a predominantly Western European thing during the Early Middle Ages. The Vikings rarely used ponies for war, and almost never used horses. The purpose of equines was mostly exclusive to farm work and transportation of goods.

Now of course in Skyrim you are a warrior. If horses were available, a pony would put you at a disadvantage. It doesn't matter if farmers prefer ponies, because you are not a farmer. A Viking would definitely use a horse if he can get his hands on one.

Anyway you are very wrong about the species! These are not ponies, and they are WAY too large to be such. These are Draught Horses (Draft Horses).

'Thinner' horse....in Skyrim? Hefty mammals survive cold climates better then lean ones, not to mention natural selection would make the hooves wider, like snowshoes aye. No worries, this incarnation is still a 'cold blooded horse' breed, just not as fitting for the region as the vanilla.

Being that it was last update in Jan, does this mean that the old bugs have been fixed?

I kept getting CTDs (crashes) when hitting horses with this mod on. I tested several times with other mods (very consistent result of crash exactly when a hit landed on a horse) and uninstalling this one seems to fix it. I guess I had a conflict with another mod that used horse.nif. Anyway, maybe this will help someone.

Same thing for me, had never noticed it before because I didn't go around hitting horses but since it causes crashes can't use it.
