Yeah, I'm a little late, but welcome to the modding community! I liked your first try and am still using it. Think I'll have to try your matching armor as well (didn't know you had that out!)

It seems you may have lost some contrast. I'd go into your levels (ctrl+L)and "crush" the blacks a bit. Otherwise, a good start.
Ignore the trolls. I don't understand why there are so many on the nexus. -
Hello! I learned how to start Photoshop.exe and to press CTRL+U!!! And now I'm going to fill skyrimnexus with thousands of my *bleep* recolors! <- Isn't that beautiful? <3
Good for you, now if you can learn to read and follow the rules, you'll be doing grand! -DarkeWolf, Nexus Staff -
So... what did you do? It just looks like you upped the brightness of the colours.

I wouldn't call this an enhancement over a recolor. It doesn't seem like there is an increase in definition at all, rather it looks like you just made the weapons brighter and more saturated.
Not for me, but good effort. -
One should be careful when using words like 'definition'. As it stands, the green you are using looks washed out more than anything. I don't see where this is more than just a recolor.
Nothing wrong with recolors if you like the color better, of course.
