Hey, just letting you know... The guy who made Wet and Cold is now selling his mod for real money on Steam. He's getting money for your work. I recommend contacting him and/or Steam/Valve if you have a problem with this.
My name is Jon. I am writing this letter to you concerning some very troubling information I became aware of recently. I assume you are aware, but just to make sure. Steam has recently implemented a system for mod authors to charge for their mods. While I am perfectly for mod authors getting compensated for their efforts. I am only for mod authors getting it through voluntary donations. I do not and will never support forced charges for mods. There are to many down sides to this system. Although These transactions have a 24-hour return policy for mods. Some mods you would agree are to large to see if they fully work after 24 hours, or can take some people longer than that time frame to even get to a point in game to see the mods effects.
I fear that this a problem that if not rectified soon can lead to a very bad set of events for the modding community as a whole. There is a mod "Wet and cold" that credits you for your umbrellas and is now charging users for your work. That is where I come to the main reason of me writing this. I strongly urge you to please add a section that bans the use of your assets for others gain. And/or filing a copy-write infringement through steam with the mod author Isoku. You may have already received messages like mine. However, please keep in mind that we are just the few that are taking time out of our days to write you. There are still many more of us that feel the same but do not write or do not know who to write to. Please help us to put an end to this nonsense. That you for your time and have a great day.
I have tried every combo for the item code and I even changed the load order for my mods to see if it could work and nothing I do allows me to get the items into my inventory. Any suggestions?
an example of what I type in: player.additem 030012d1 1
The mod is after the heathfire and dragondborn DLC but it is at the top of all of my other mods.
Could you possibly consider adding them under a forge listing or putting them into a store because I have no idea how many mods I'm running or when I installed them.
Not directly. He said on the Frostfall comment page (quote):
"I helped Gopher put together a little script that would perhaps help with compatibility, as part of something that might come with the umbrella mod.
But, no, it's not something I intend to support with Frostfall. It mainly comes down to aesthetics and encouragement. What do I want to encourage my players to use? Cloaks are 100% more badass than an umbrella. But that's just my opinion."
@spiderleg Rofl that made me laugh more than it probably should have. And gotta love the mod not really for me but fun none the less. might get if frostfall works with it ever just for the hell of it
I don't like how Chesko has thrown realism out the window, basically, his logic is "if it is not primitive and crude, it doesn't help". Surrounding yourself in a wall of fire does not help warm you, but chugging booze does. Argonian scales and umbrellas don't keep off water, but a leather cape does. I find it difficult keep frost fall immerse with my Argonian mage, for that reason.
Do Villagers in Villages and towns randomly walk around when its raining with these and torches when its night time? Would be cool If it could make them If not already...
