An update to the mod will be along soon. I am working on converting it for SE and will be fixing the clipping issues, gap in the landscape near the top of the steps to the livestock market and will be finishing the livestock market area. The currently empty buildings will be a market tavern, a tannery and a butchers and another undecided trader or craftsman. There will be NPCs to staff them and several guards for the area plus a guard outside the gates. It will also work with JK's Whiterun Outskirts that in the SE version at least leaves some gaps in the landscape, they will be fixed
As it says in the original description, the traders will be offering some items to buy but their main purpose is to flesh out the background of the city. Every city has people making stuff for the shops and traders.
It's getting quite old now but I can't think why entering the Bannered Mare would be a problem, I haven't touched anything to do with it. I am currently reworking my Complete Solitude mod for SE, It's got completely new landscaped and rebuilt docks as well as lots of tweaks to what's already in it. When that is finished and ported back to here I am doing the same for Whiterun. It was never completely finished in the new area. It will be a complete rebuild. In the meantime I will have a look at the problem you are having, see if I can spot anything.
I love this mod so much, it's so immersive and detailed. I disabled Open Cities just so that I could have this mod, it seemed to be creating some kind of city within a city when I had it enabled and fast travelled into the city. It would be really great if there was a patch for this one day but until then I definitely choose this mod over Open Cities.
I really love the looks & how this mod actually expand the city as well. But I found a hole on the floor & a house with no door. I already post the screenshots of them. I'm a bit sad that some houses have no interiors. Because Whiterun now looks so good I really want to see more NPCs who are living in the city commuting it.
I converted this for SE and I really love the look of it. It really blends in flawlessly with vanilla Whiterun. It doesn't play well with Immersive Citizens (that was to be expected of course) so I won't be using the mod, but endorsed nonetheless. :-)
I just ran it through the Special edition CK, and ran the meshes and textures through the optimizer, not to hard, like 10 clicks tops, it seems to work fine.
