This mod, while not the same, is very similar and accomplishes the same thing: https://rd.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10180?tab=description
At last! Thank you for making this. I like impressiveness and using the road signs to get around but I can hardly read them and am squinting with my face right up at my screen, its so annoying. Now I wont have to!
I really like your sign textures, but i'm having into an issue where occasionally i'll run into a sign where the texture hasn't loaded, resulting in a blue sign with just the indentations of the wood grain and lettering visible. Any idea whats going on? I've tried reinstalling several times already. As far as I can tell this is the only mod I have that effects roadsigns. Unless of course Lanterns of Skyrim is having an effect.
Is it the same sign consistently that's having that problem? Or are you seeing it randomly where one sign will display correctly one moment, then display as blue the next?
The blue you're referring to is the normal map, so it sounds like for whatever reason the specular map isn't loading for that post or perhaps it isn't even designated for that post's mesh (unlikely). I haven't seen any other reports of this nor have I experienced this on my own Skyrim playthroughs, so I have to assume there may be a mod conflict involved on your end?
My thought as well. I just arn't figure out what other mo might be causing the conflict. Noble Skyrim perhaps? And yes, it does seem to b the same signs.I'll keep fiddling with my load order.
Point the Way is odd. The screenshots show my road signs (this file), but that mod doesn't offer re-textures on its own. That mod is just for adding additional signs around Skyrim, so you'd have to use this mod or another to get higher-res / legible signs.
That said, I tried to use Point the Way with a vanilla up-to-date Skyrim + DLC, but it wrecked all the road signs throughout the game (e.g. signs were floating or missing entirely). I've since deleted it altogether; don't have the time to troubleshoot this stuff anymore.
Are the optional Hi-Res Worn signs really optional? Meaning do they require the original main files or is it standalone? Considering both mods are roughly the same size I couldn't tell. I installed the main original file and I installed the Hi-Res Worn to overwrite them but it still looks very clean to me.
It's been a while, but the worn signs have 'weathering' on the edges and the letters slightly less clear. Otherwise they should look about 95% the same.
And it is completely stand alone, so you don't need the base mod at all to use the optional textures/files.

Any chance of it being released on SSE?
