I tried this, but it didn't work. Fortunately I found different solution: After Kodlak talks about witches and curse (in Blood's honor quest) you must NOT go to the cave and kill the witches - if you do, this solution WILL fail. Instead go to any house which is not Jorrvaskar (for example Breezehome) and there use console command: "setstage c04 200" - with this the Blood's honor end up completed, then type: "setstage c05 200" - with this the Purity of revenge should be completed (if nothing happenes don't panic), and finally type "setstage c06 0". Go out of Breezehome and participate at the Kodlak's funeral. I know - with this you cannot complete the quest Purity of revenge in normal way - but if you are like me and no matter what you do the quest Purity of revenge cannot be triggered and you don't want to end up with broken Companions because of it (the npc are eternaly mourning), this is the only way (or I haven't found another one).
This works so well. Once I did the quest was fixed. Then I reloaded an earlier save and was able to complete the quest without skipping anything. Kudos Homie!!
I read here www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrimurity_of_Revenge "This quest commonly conflicts with the Helm of Winterhold quest, as it is one of the locations to which the Jarl of Winterhold might send you. If you already have the Helm quest for Driftshade then the quest cannot be started. Complete the Helm quest and then wait"...(30 days) to fix.
I tried this mod with the New Special Edition of Skyrim and I get the message "0006a99c missing parameter object id" is it because of the Special Edition or something else? If it is the Special Edition, could you please port this mod ?
This didn't work for me either. What did work was TCL (no clipping mode) into Driftshade Refuge and just got the helm(from entering Driftshade, a barricaded door straight ahead, behind that door is a big chest, there it is), gave the helm to the jarl, Then went into Jorrvaskr and Purity of revenge started.
This didn't work for me, but it pointed me in the right direction. I went back to Driftshade Refuge and found the corpse that matched the id given for this and just typed resurrect. Went back to Jorrvaskr and viola, quest functioned as it should, and I only ended up having to kill one Silver Hand.
I had this bug in the first game I played. I resolved it by loading a older save, fast traveling to Dragonsreach and waited on the bridge until it was day time.
Hopefully this will be fixed in the next patch release by Bethesda which is aimed at resolving quest bugs.
I was looking for exactly this bug fix, thank you! For those wondering how to use it, go into Jorrvaskr after you've retrieved one of the Glenmoril Coven witch heads and speak to Vilkas. When the conversation ends, you'll get the message "Completed: Blood's Honor", but the subsequent quest won't start. Pull up the console (~) and type "bat kodlak". It should immediately replace your follower (if any) with Vilkas and display the message "Started: Purity of Revenge", allowing you to continue and complete the quest line.
Note that you have to place the kodlak.txt file in the /skyrim/ folder itself, NOT /skyrim/Data/, and you must be inside Jorrvaskr when you run the command.
not working, says invalid reference id, also, is this supposed to be used after the Blood's Honor quest where you return to find that Jorrvasker was attacked?
