NMMtoWrye is a tool that allows to use NMM's installer (with support for omod and fomod) with Wrye BAIN.
* Use Nexus Mod Manager
- To download and update mods from skyrim- or tesnexus
* Use Wrye Bash Installer
- To install mods without fomod installers
- To manage, uninstall and delete mods
* Use NMM, NMMtoWrye and BAIN
- To install mods with fomod installers
=== Migration from previous version ===
* Replace the exe, but keep the xml file.
=== Setup ===
* Install Wrye Bash
- Wrye Bash will ask you for a folder to store the installation data
- On Windows 7, by default this is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Mods
- In this setup, I will refer to this folder as %SkyrimMods%
* Download this file
- Place the two files from the archive (NMMtoWrye.exe and .xml) in the same folder as "Wrye Bash.exe"
- Usually, this is "skyrim/Mopy"
* Install Nexus Mod Manager
- Set up the following values either during installation or in the settings dialog
Mod Directory: %SkyrimMods%\Bash Installers
Installer Info: %SkyrimMods%\Install Info
Skyrim Directory: %SkyrimMods%\TempData
Custom Launch Command: Path to NMMtoWrye.exe, either absolute or relative to %SkyrimMods%,
in my setup it is "..\..\skyrim\Mopy\NMMtoWrye.exe"
- If you were are already using NMM, copy all mods from the old mod directory to the new one
* Open nmmtowrye.xml with your favorite text editor
- Replace all %SkyrimMods% with the proper path
- Make sure they match the paths set up in NMM
=== Installing a mod from Nexus ===
* Download the mod with Nexus Mod Manager
* If it has no install script
- Open Wrye Bash
- Install the mod with BAIN
* If it has an installer
- Install the mod with NMM
- You can install multiple mods, they will be packaged into one for BAIN
- Click "Launch Custom Skyrim" to open this tool
- The dialog should show you the name of the mod you just installed; if not, something went wrong
- You can change the name, but be careful not to overwrite the original file
- Set compression to Ultra if this is a very large mod
- Click "Add to BAIN"
- This tool will package the configured mod for BAIN and uninstall it from NMM
- In BAIN, install the BAIN-ready version of the mod
