General FYI - development on this mod has NOT halted. I do apologize for releasing a mod, and then disappearing for 3 months. Unfortunately for Skyrim, D3 Reaper of Souls came out, and I have limited time each week to play games/mod.

I will be updating this mod soon to address some issues, and add requested features. Hopefully that gets me re-addicted to Skyrim. In over 1K hours, I still have yet to finish the main quest, dragonborn, or dawnguard 0_o

Last time this mod was updated in 2014 and you have made this Info in later 2014 so has it NOW been Halted or do you just have so little time to focus on this?? I mean its like 3 years

Just Heard about this mod in nexus twitter account post and was interested but is this in what condition?? I mean its still a beta release?
Might there be some issues with this mod because it hasn't been updated for so long time?

      THX for any responses

    Greetings. Great mod, very useful.
I am being unable to adquire the Legendary Master Restoration perk despite having legendaried restoration at lest 5 times. What may be the problem?

Hey, everyone. I've published the Skyrim Special Edition version of Permanent Legendary Bonuses. It can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12743/?

Your line: "After conversations with ASUnited, we've decided that it would be best if I support the mod going forward.
As such, I've converted it for SSE and will attempt to continue to support and improve it for the foreseeable future."

Will you be doing the same for this Oldrim version or whats the future for this one?? Seems just that this one hasn't been updated for a long time.

I've ported it to SSE for personal use, and I'm currently waiting to hear back from ASUnited about whether they will be carrying it over or not. Per the *PERMS*, I should be able to post it, but I'd rather hear back from the original author first. I may just post it under a new name or something (giving all proper credit of course) just to get it out sooner, but I don't know.

Does the new version need SKSE64 ?

It does, and as the SKSE team's been saying since the alpha build, it's for modders and testing only in its current state, and strongly advise against releasing plugins for it at present. I've been in communication with ASUnited, and they are also of the same mindset. At this point, I'm not sure whether they will port an SSE version or have me do it, but either way, neither will be released until after a non-alpha build from Ian & Co.

I can say that it still functions perfectly as intended with the SKSE64 alpha and required no real changes (just the header and a personal tweak to suit my taste), so it won't be long after an actual SKSE64 release until this gets a publicly visible port.

      Hope that helps.

This sounds like an incredibly good idea. But one question: how well does this mod work with overhauls like Requiem or even SkyRE that drastically change the perk tree?

I looks like this mod only checks for legendary skills, and adds a bonus accordingly (similar to a permanent "fortify_____" enchantment). As long as they still allow skills to go legendary, I can't see how either would interfere.
I'd still make a backup save beforehand, just in case.

I'd rather make it give an extra perk for every two perks spent in that tree. then next legendary for every three perks get one perk, etc.

Just thought of an extra stimulation to make skill legendary. What if you could add an additional separate Legendary skill tree (although it would not be tree-shaped)? Like if your destruction is Legendary 5 times, you can add a perk that makes your destruction spells 10% stronger. Different skills would have similar bonuses.

That means that after making destruction legendary for the fifth time, you can invest a perk to make destruction a slightly bit stronger. By the way, I picket five times legendary as threshold as I do not know if 125% skill can be used as threshold.

Anyway, given the date of the release of this mod, I doubt if you are still actively modding for Skyrim. Chances are you have played this game a million times already and have moved on.

I really had hopes for this mod because it is the only thing out there that does this, but it would only upgrade my first 3 made legendary skills. Any other skills after that would not get upgraded after being made legendary. Too bad the mod has not been upgraded since beta Thanks for the mod though author.

I always (since legendary) wanted something like that, like increasing the limit every legendary or something, but you sir did something even better, more balanced and fulfilling, thank you!! just one small issue, vanilla used to have an issue with increasing sneak too much made sneak gets worse instead of better, not sure if it was ever fixed or how this affects this mod but anyways, I know cause I had a troll save with all skills set to 1000... I think forge still stacks after 199, used to in 1.0 and a little after, haven't tested it lately.

The Official Skyrim Patches did indeed fix that Sneak skill bug (which allows people who know how to make their Sneak skill overpowered more or less completely undetectable -- even in broad daylight and right in front of them). This was accomplished as of v1.3, which also fixed overpowered Lockpicking so that, at a high enough value, the entire lock would become a "sweet spot," even on Master level locks. However, the Legendary Patch for Skyrim was Patch 1.9 (which added the ability to make skills Legendary and added in the Legendary difficulty) -- specifically listed on UESPWiki as Patch 1.9.26.0.8 --, so you needn't worry about the Sneak skill getting worse at high enough levels rather than better anyways.
