At first, I was a bit anxious because exactly that vanilla option is required which is buggy as hell, even the construction table is malicous. But the mod works perfectly.
The author probably is not interested anymore in this mod but I leave this comment for other users.
You did a great job on this mod, and seeing as you're no longer working on the mod people are gonna give you a lot of hate but it works perfectly i currently have your mod plus Draco's Lakewood manor and Lakeview Pool and Hot bath. To anyone reading this you MUST build the TROPHY ROOM NOT THE STORAGE ROOM. They look identical and i was wondering why the walls weren't appearing. The basement is truly amazing by itself and perfect for all the collectibles.
lol Well, considering the author's response to bug reports so far, it's not that curious. The fact that he denies his mod could be a problem, or says "deal with it" would go a long way towards keeping people from endorsing, or, as in my case, even downloading in the first place.
Hi, you should read more posts here and not the Top one, because that was my first and only unfriendly post and that for a reason. I did never say that my mod is perfect but I tested the problems the downloader had myself in hours and hours of gameplay and it worked as intended, means there are small problems some times but other mods with racks have them also, you can google that or ask other modders, whatever. Skyrim got problems with mannequins and weapon racks, I cant rlly do more than what I did and he told me to:
"I think you need to learn Weapon Rack Creation 101 in the Creation Kit. "
Not rlly friendly especially not because I spend some hours in learning how to do these things right. Its a skyrim problem, these things are in general buggy, so he should blame Bethesda and not me and tell other ppl that my mod would not work. And besides that his problems with mannequins and racks are maybe there, because he Installed many many Mods and they now cause these problems.
It has so few because it's riddled with bugs. Weapon racks don't (for me anyway) work at all, and you can end up with moving mannequins. (They don't walk but change posture like a waiting NPC) Compare to absolutely brilliant mods like Proudspire Manor Refurbished, where all the racks and mannequins work flawlessly. Telling the simple truth here and providing constructive criticism should not evoke defensive reactions and "warnings" like, "Next time you say such things, you better...."
Idk what the hell happened but I chose the storage room and then activated this mod. the mod went wild, the floor went blue, and the storage room workbench teleported a couple steps left(outside of the room). the only way I figured this out was by toggling the collisions and looking from outside. The mannequins stayed in the right place but all the racks from the mod teleported outside of the room as well. when I turned off the mod, all the armory stuff left but my storage room is all jangled up. the workbench is still outside the room and if I create anything in no collisions mode, they are created outside the room. and for some reason, basically, all my saves are deleted(i've finished the game so there should be more than 100) so i can't just load my game before the mod. any help is better than nothing.
same thing here. Im wondering if it HAS to be the trophy room. I thought you could just re-do the building into the trophy room at the drafting table, but apparently i was wrong.
nope, it HAS to be the trophy room like I wrote in the description of the mod:
2. Build your Lakeview Manor NORTH WING TROPHY ROOM (storage and alchemy room wont work)
Sorry for that but I didn't do heavy scripting there cause it was my first mod ever and I only made it for myself but then decided to share it, hoping ppl would like it ;) I highly doubt that your Savegames are deleted by this mod because it really only changes some objects in that house, nothing crazy.
This is a old mod and im not sure on the traffic but basically what this mod author did is the only viable method to mod hearthfire rooms. Its really brilliant actually.
Hearthfire basically has every single room loaded into the game right at the start but has the rooms tied to a ID and only enables the rooms and items based on when that ID is activated via you creating items on the workbench. So eveyrthing is complicated and piecemeal. This is why no one has moded the rooms much at all save this guy. So what he did was delete everything for the north wing and created his own version of the north wing for just the trophy room. Please note that you cannot build anything without deleting everything first since all 3 versions of the north wing overlap when you look at the room in CK its a total mess. So when you select any room not trophy - nothing is going to render youll get odd visuals etc. Now to be clear no scripting would save this - its a complicated piece and actually would be a massive database overhaul to edit speicfic rooms bla bla etc. Anyway doing what this mod author did - is easy and makes 100000000000000000000% more sense and is so much more doable. I think ill do this for myself on the east wing actually. Now what you could do which wouldnt take too much work would be just tie the other wings to just build this wing - this way you wouldnt get a render of void - which again would be a database change and would be easier no scripting required. Which again ill probs just do that myself. Interesting side note he removed the collision markers so if you jump up on something you may be able to move through the walls.
Does anyone know of a good mod for the north wing that includes the other two Heathfire homes? I find this mod nice and all, but sadly I have no use for a Lakeview mod for Heljarchen Hall.. :/
what exactly did you do? cause i agree this is by far the best armory mod for lake view and i really want it for SE. how did you get it working? *edit, uuuuuuuuuuuuh never mind? i jsut manual downloaded and added with NMM special edition, and it seems to work fine :)
The mod is great...at least, up until one point. One of the mannequins disappeared, the one to the right of the door as you walk in. It SEEMS like there's supposed to be one, and you can interact. But it's invisible. :/ And when I apply armor to it nothing shows up.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled, and it's still doing the same thing. Did the mod develop a bug over time or something??
I love the mod, but like it has been said, I was really wanting a porch on the north half of lakeveiw, which is why i went looking for mods initially. Regardless, im happy i found this one. Suggestions: instead of a mammoth skull, use a dragon skull above the doors, and, if possible, make it compatible with the "storage room" interior cell, so i can have this on the inside and a porch on the outside, would be awesome.

Out of curiosity @Xenosch, would you mind a port for XB1 and upload to beth.net?
This is still the best looking Hearthfire armory that I know of! =)
