    Now with a Special Edition repack - v6 SE!

    I'd like to thank Wizzbanger for repacking and testing this in Special Edition. All credit for the repack goes to him!


    No "a"? Does that mean followers can finally mine, you know, like you promised almost a year ago?

    YES.

    Followers can mine, actually, up to 10 followers can mine!


    So, what's new?

    + MCM update
    + Follower Mining
    + Return to sneak mode when sneak-activating mining
    + Any interior location which isn't a mine or special location get's the cave multiplier.
    + RE - Real Estate soft dependancy is fixed. AM, and the MCM for it, will work properly if you don't have RE.
    + Special Edition repack.


    Note to users who are updating (does not apply to a fresh character):

    A deposit may need encouragement to update. Just bash it. Either a shield bash or a weapon strike will force an update.


    Bug reporting:

    If you are reporting a bug, make sure that it's not your install or mod combination which is at fault. This can not be stressed enough. This mod has been thoroughly tested over many hundreds of hours with various combinations of mods and works without issue. If you think you've found a bug, make sure you can reproduce the bug reliably and provide all the details as possible, including what the debug menu says about the area and your mod load order. I don't play with the same mods you do and I especially don't use mods which are "broken," whether it contains major bugs, non-lore friendly, immersion breaking or simply poorly planned and executed. There is the onus on you to investigate the suspected bug and confirm that there really is one.

    I use this mod with over a hundred mods including but not limited to followers (UFO, Cerwiden, Vilja, FollowerLivePackage), locations (Falskaar, Wyrmstooth), gameplay/immersion (Frostfall, Alternate Life, Climates of Tamriel, all the unofficial patches), etc and have no issues. If you have an issue, please double check the suspect area/situation and report as accurately as possible where and how to reproduce the error again, providing the output of the debug menu.

    ANY REPORT WITHOUT THE ABOVE INFORMATION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISMISSED AND CLOSED WITH NO RESPONSE. RTFM.

    Regarding a Skyrim SE update, until SKSE is updated this mod cannot be. This mod relies on too many SKSE functions to be able to be used without it. While the MCM could be ported to a crappy dialog interface, the underlying requirement of SKSE makes it moot.

    Please have patience, once SKSE and SkyUI (the MCM at very least) is ported I will look at updating this for SE.

    follower mining does not work on me.. could this be a reason of conflict between crafting overhaul? because they both have the same mining customization..hope someone notice thanks

      It does not help and this is clearly and repeatedly covered in the mod description.  See the other post I just responded specifically the part that reads...

      NEVER simply post "didn't work" or "this doesn't X" with NO details as to where, how, the conditions (including other mods being used, game and extender versions, time of day, phase of moon, blood panel from your doctor - I jest but you get the idea), what steps you took to resolve it on your own, etc. unless you want to be banned by that mod author.

    Installing this mod just makes ore veins infinite with no payout for me. Great way to idle your character if you have to get up and do something for a bit and don't feel like pausing the game and having your character stand around doing nothing.

      Sounds like another mod is causing issues or the mod was thrown into a garbage state.  Not sure what the issue could be precisely and I don't mod Skyrim anymore so I am not going to look into it, sorry-not-sorry.

      Always try these steps when trying to diagnose if a mod is buggy:
      1) Reduce your install to a "clean state" with only the mod in question being installed.
      2) Create a brand new character, do NOT use a pre-canned "after Helgen start" as those will have scripts already baked into the save file - You MUST use a brand new character.
      2.a) Fast start mods may be fine depending on them being bug free themselves; use with caution when testing as to not contaminate your test environment.
      3) Try to recreate the error.
      4) If confirmed the error exists...
      5) Make sure the mod author is even supporting a ten year old mod for a game they don't play (hint, I do not) before reporting it.
      6) That being said, if you do find a confirmed issue, feel free to post it to the comments section with all the steps necessary to encounter it and with any possible solutions you found to work around it.

    I have a random q, can i ask how the mining experience increasing smithing skill was enabled? I ask because of of my effing mods is doing it by default, and i really dont want a chunk of smithing experience for hitting a rock.
    Im somewhat familiar with the construction kit so if you give me some keywords to work with, or point me in the general direction would be amazing if possible.

      It's a setting in the MCM you can turn off.  As to the "how", it's just a standard function call with the skill and amount of XP to award.  btw, the CK itself won't help as this is a script mod - you need the compiler (which comes with the CK but you don't need the CK itself to use it) to make any code changes.

    I really appreciate the work, i used this mod for very long time, but i have an issue, i redownloaded this mod and skyrim, and for some reason 
    outside of cities I continuously CTD and with no warning what so ever, usually so far after i fast travel out of whiterun. never happened before.

      It seems like reinstalling the mod helped, but the problem probably was for me that the ore veins bugged out after it was a mid game modding, so it did some twitching and couldn't handle the mod, but its good now, sry for bothering, favorite mod, and thanks a lot for your work ^^.

      That would be a mod adding salt mines, iirc the mod is called "Salt Mines". You'd have to check that mod for any details about where they are.

      Is this the mod that added that smeltery salt pile recipe? And no the salt mines of Skyrim rock salt does not work for smeltery rock salt. 

      On the other hand though, the mod itself is compatible with advanced mining's infinite nodes, and it has its own recipe for salt piles.

      Can we still mine at winsatd? does winstad work if not mined, i have both, this mdo is working fine but i have not touched winstad and would like mroe informtion before i simply go check winstad out, otherwise will ignore the place.

      It's been years since I looked, but I think Winstaad uses a mismatched combination of a custom deposit with vanilla furniture.  Just change their vanilla furniture with a custom furniture with a vanilla copy of the furniture script or replace the custom deposits in Winstaad with vanilla deposits so AM will work normally.

      fwiw, I put the blame on the author of Winstaad for using a mix of vanilla and custom assets for things that are tightly coupled for this.  It was just asking to be broken by a butterfly farting near it.

    Hi 1000101, There is an incompatibility with Vokrii Because both mods change the MineOreScript.pex It's really simple, it's a condition that Vokrii adds that doubles the mined ore when you have a certain perk. I could patch it if you and the Vokrii author make the source available. Thanks for your mod it's really good :)

      Why bother?  AM already has that feature and has had it from the beginning - It's called "Random Bonus Ore" and is based off the skill being used to mine.  This is a case of RTFM.

      As far as source availability - it's always been available, it's packed into the bsa for each version.  Only the loose files version doesn't include the source and it's not recommended to use the loose file version of mods unless absolutely necessary.

      For compatibility - again, RTFM - Install AM last and overwrite any conflicts so AM wins.

    Okay, so I don't know if this bug is because of a mod conflict, or if it's a problem with the mod itself, so I will post it here as well.

    I have an issue where I would infinitely mine iron ore, corundum ore, ebony ore, gold ore, iron ore, orichalcum ore, and sliver ore, and gain nothing from that mining session, but I could mine the ores that are not those (I went into the debug world to check out what was going on). The only mining and ore related mods that I have is Crafting Supplies AIO, Fast mining animation (Fast minning animation), Glowing Ore Veins 300, Weightless Ores, Weightless Metal Ingots, Weightless Gemstones, Weightless Soul Gems and Heart Stones, SMIM, and Skyrim HD 2k. I do not know what the conflicts are, nor how to solve the problem. Help me Plz.

      It seems to be a mod conflict, as I disabled every single mod, and reinstalled advanced mining, then I enabled these mods and made sure advanced mining loaded after these mods: A quality World Map, Alternate Start - Live Another Life, Dawnguard DLC, Dragonborn DLC, Fast Mining Animation, Hearthfire DLC, Jewelry Limiter LE, LFox Pickpocketing Chance Caps at 100, OneTweak, Ordinator, Skyrim HD 2k Textures, Skyrim Script Extender, SkyUILib, SMIM, Sounds of Skyrim (Civilization, The Dungeons, and The Wilds), SkyUI, No Kill Blur, High Res Texture Pack DLC, Enhanced Blood, Day Night City Lights, Blood and Gore, and Weightless (Jewelry, Books, Food, Misc, Potions, and Scrolls). After I did that, I was able to mine every single ore. I will now go test to see which mods had a conflict with this mod.

      I added Upgraded Stormcloak Armor, Spawners 10x Richer Merchants, Unlimited Bookshelves, More Smelting Recipes 1.1, More Dragon Loot, Spend Souls For Perks, Declutter: Webs, Crafting Plus, Arrow Crafting, Main menu, Smelting Increases Smithing, Better Dragon Loot, Edible Dragon Flesh, Better Clothes, Imperial Armors Upgraded, Smelting Plus, and Better Daedric Artifacts, and it seems to be working fine I can mine every single ore vein and get ore from it.

      I added Dwarven Centurions Drop Weapons, Dwarven Spheres Drop Crossbows, Carryweight ++, Imperial General's Armor, Loading Screen with Extra Sarcasm, Loading Screen with Extra Sarcasm (DLC Edition), A Better Rewards and Treasures Mod (Barbarians, Battlemages, Crusaders, Mages, Knights, Overstocked Merchants, Pickpockets, Spellswords, Thieves and Assassins, and Warriors), Imperial Sword and Bow, and Craftable Imperial Helmets, and it all seems to be compatible as I am able to mine all of the ore veins and get something from them.

      I added Crafting Supplies AIO, Diverse Dragons Collection, OBIS (Main and Dragonborn Patches), Unread Books Glow, Ultimate Follower AIO, Disenchantable Priest Masks, The Helmets of the Nine Divines, Unique Weapon Smithing, Thieves Guild Jewelry Smelter, WAR (Blue Glass Armor, and Blue Glass Weapons), Mazor's Intuitive Magic, and Better Improvements for Gameplay Mods (Sneaking Bonuses for What You Wear, More Kill Moves, More Decapitations, Higher Kill Moves Chance, More Blood and Gore, Helmetless Combat Perks, and Earlier Decapitations), and it all seems to be compatible as I was able to mine all of the surface level ores.

      I added Wintermyst Enchantments of Syrim, Glowing Ore Veins, Enchantments Spells and potions (Alteration Protections Spells improved, and Better Potion recipes), and Detailed Mine Map Markers, and it all seems to be compatible. I originally tried to load in all of the Amazing Race Tweaks mods, but then I just infinitely swung my pickaxe on the iron ore vein and would not get any, so I took that off.

      The final list of mods I added are Ultimate Hunting and Gathering Immersion DLC, Better Improvements for Gameplay Mod (Soul Gem Mining), and Amazing Race Tweaks (Khajiit), and IT WORKS!!! So some of the other Amazing Race Tweaks mods is probably incompatible with this mod, but the one I want (Khajiit boi) is working just fine.

      I can't imagine what a race mod would be doing to be incompatible, Advanced Mining doesn't touch races at all. AM replaces two vanilla scripts and are the only loose files in the install package (zip). AM itself can be anywhere in the load order but make sure the two scripts provided are in your Data\Scripts folder.

      Infinitely mines where? Everywhere? In a mine? If you are not in a mine (check the MCM and AM's "list view" of "known mines") and infinite mining is happening however, the "Bugs" section of this page is where you want to be with as much information as possible (see the bottom of the top sticky saying it's on you to gather this information and confirm). If you are in a mine and have "deep mines" enabled then infinite deposits will mean infinite mining, duh?

      Regardless, bugs are never to be reported in the forum/"posts" section unless you want to be banned because you didn't RTFM and sticky posts or do your due diligence.
