Everyone - I apologize for being inactive for the last few years.
I just wanted to pop in and answer a few questions pre-emptively for anyone coming to the comment section in the future.
- SSE Version is already out and linked at the top of the description. It has a different name which is probably why you didn't see if you searched for it on the SSE Nexus.
- The "New Sliders" version of the mod available in the installer turns out to have a significant number of downsides due to my crappy scripting. I won't be removing it from the installer just in case people still want/need it for some reason, but I strongly recommend against using it. It doesn't let you save your chosen eyes to a Preset, and apparently the eyes can even just straight up disappear off your character after you save and load.
- Other Eye mod patches are unfortunately too much work for me to be able to get any out for this version of the mod, especially where I don't really play Oldrim anymore. I will be updating the description soon to remove any mention of making such patches. However, I am currently looking into a new way of making this same kind of effect happen via a Patcher script rather than pre-defined eye records, so if that turns out to work properly I may have a better solution coming out at a later date that should allow you to essentially make your own patches.
Thank you all for your support these 6+ years. I wish you well.
I now have the new-and-improved SSE version up with actually, genuinely functioning RaceMenu Sliders. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/41014/
-Your other eye mods will still work with this, and appear in the regular slider.
-Patches are incoming for other eye mods to be combinable with my new eye combinations. Please recommend them here in the comments and I'll add them to my list.
-Sliders Version: If you experience a flickering eye bug, or don't see any changes when moving the new sliders, during selection - I've included a Blank eye set in the regular slider. Select that to eliminate the problem.
-Sliders Version: If your character has no eyes when the RaceMenu opens this is intentional see the above about a Blank eye set. This just means my eye set is appearing first in your normal slider.
-This mod is completely compatible with re-texture mods. Covereyes by mrlenski is a good option.
For the first batch of pictures, I used the re-texture version of Hale - Iridum Eyes but the new version doesn't have a retexture option. Compatibility patch coming soon.
Using the sliders version, I lose my eyes every time I save... and when I used the integrated version instead, I just flat out lose my left eye instead of getting multiple colors.
I would love it if you could add Lok's Eyes https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/66630, or even if you could dm me how to patch eye mods and I can do it myself, obviously if I did it myself I wouldn't upload it it would be for my personal use
All other Odd eye mods I have tried remove the environmental mask and reflection cubemap, leaving the eyes dead looking. These are different! You found a way to keep those oh so important reflection textures and have odd eyes.
I just wish the mod was not abandoned as no patches were made =(
I was hoping to use this with Glowing Eyes http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21232/?
I sincerely apologize that the patches have not been made. My video card died, and I have been unable to afford to buy a new one and get beck into Skyrim modding.
Well, that is extremely regrettable. This is far and away my favorite eye mod, and i was quite excited to see plans for a runic eyes (runner-up favorite) patch until i noted the dates attached.
I do hope that sometime in the future you have the means to complete your ideas, as i'm sure many people would enjoy using them. If not, still you have given quite a fine piece of work as it is, so thank you for that.
Been there! No worries, I am actually making my own eye mod. It is Heterochromia and glowing. The only problem is when I equip them the eyes are set to high in the head mesh and look all messed up!
Hope you get your new video card and get back to the joys of Skyriming ^^
