As I've put in the description, I'm retired from Skyrim modding. If anybody wants to port this to SSE, or any other version of Skyrim, then go right ahead.
I learned about conditional checks as I went along on this, so I'm sure it's full of bugs. I'm sure somebody can redo this and make it much better. If you'd like to take this mod over, message me and I'll give you control.
Uhhh, is there a SSE version? Like in files there's a Legendary edition, dawnguard etc. but, there's no SSE? Or maybe RaceCompatibility_Dialouge (1.5c) is SSE version? Can someone explain?
Does it support Selachii? If it doesn't can you add them please? I think Argonian dialog would suit them. Sure they're sharks, not reptiles, but being called Landstrider for being a fish doesn't sound any better.
For those of you who were waiting for a SSE version ...
I went ahead and recreated this mod plus many of its patches and some new ones for SSE (since DetectiveToaster is away and I've been therefore unable to get porting permission - recreation from scratch it is, then). You can find it here:
This is exactly what I was looking for, just... not for any of the races I use.
I'm gonna see if I can "redirect" the edits to the race I want via TesVedit (the only program I know how to use), and if not, I'm starting to think I'm out of luck.
Unless someone knows how to make a custom race replace a vanilla one using only that program.
(It worked. I just added the relevant keyword from RaceCompatibility to the custom race. It's pretty easy to do. Though this mod does all the work for the actual dialogue, so that's REALLY great.)
But why would you want to be refered to as a Nord if you're using a custom race? Doesn't that delete the purpose and the opposite of what you'd want? Or am I missing something here.
if i recall correctly; there are lotsa times when the game checks your race so as to give race specific dialog. snide comments, insults, praise ect, but if you're a custom race you get absolutely NO dialog line at all. so a custom can miss out on a lot of lines.
And a lot of people want to have a Custom Race cause they want to have their OWN body. If you want a armor/clothes adapt that it is easier with a custom race.
I want to DL this mod, but I'm not sure which of the main files I need. It looks like I need either the first three, or the "RaceCompatibility-Dialog-Legendary". Can someone help me with this, in case I need only 1, all, or some of them?

Though if anyone knows how to do it themselves, feel free to enlighten me.
