I will not update Macromancy 3 in any way, shape, or form. (Sorry.) You have my explicit permission to edit it, redistribute it (whether to the Nexus or some other mod hosting site), and/or convert it to Skyrim: Special Edition. As long as you give credit to the three authors who made it possible (harbinger86, Vanax8991, and myself) and don't make money off of it, you're golden. You don't even need to ask for my permission; you have it. Go nuts.
Additionally, any mods I make in the future will be available for Skyrim: Special Edition only.
I will begin development on the next Macromancy mod (which I still have yet to name; working title is "Macromancy SE") once I have access to SKSE64. However, this development will be slow and tentative; I do not have quite as much free time as I did when I first took on this project.
The next Macromancy mod will not be released for some time - I'm aiming for a June 2017 release, but right now I simply don't have enough information to say so for certain. I'm almost certain it won't be released on console at all.
If you have any useful tips regarding Papyrus scripting (alternatives to constantly-running scripts, using a script to add items to leveled lists, etc.), either reply to this comment or send me a message - pertinent information may help me speed development along.
I'd like to thank the folks who have downloaded, commented on, and/or endorsed my mods, for their support - and you, for reading!
Edit: As a result of Spasticon1 taking up development for Classic Skyrim's Macromancy and calling the project "Macromancy 4," I've changed the working title of my Special Edition project.
In honor of this old staple of my load order, I've created an updated version of this mod called Macromancy 3.5. I fixed a bunch of the scripts (thankfully, they were relatively easy for me to parse) for a more stable experience. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/99180
So i know this Macromancy is over but maybe in the fabled Macromancy 4 could there be a spell that can shrink NPCs without hurting them? like say you want to make Lydia tiny without hurting her?
I was pretty sad when I saw that you weren't going to be continuing to work on this, but I'm happy to hear that someone else will be filling in. Personally I don't see myself moving over to SSE so it was upsetting to hear your new project was only for that version of Skyrim.
Hello Macromancy fans! Spasticon1 here with good news. Due to Revylrie transferring to SSE Macromancy 3 has stopped, but don't worry! I'm going to start working on a new Macromancy. I've decided to call it "Macromancy 4 - Size Changing Magic" for I hope to add more then just spells. Also my macromancy will be built of Macromancy 3. Version 1.0 will have 2 new novice spells, 2 new staffs, one new apprentice spell, and possibly 1 new enchantment.
Status: 2 spells done and there spell books done, along with a staff planning on giving to the merchant. I also plan on changing her looks.
You're welcome. Also I'm working on lore-book to explain it's origin. For know I've got it being discovered after the War with the Thalmor but before the Civil war. Tips for writing Macromancy's Lore is welcome.
So i don't know if you still check this but, are we only allowed to grow our character at the expense of other characters? The shrink spell works just fine for me, but the growth one only works if I've shrunk and am growing myself back. Is there another version of the growth spell to get around this, did an error occur in the install, or is this intentional?
Nevermind, i just entered the player.setav infamy 100 command you mention in the description and it seems to be working now. Although your character hasn't respawned since I came to post the original message, she isn't in the lodge in winterhold. I went back on a save from before i visited her the first time and she still wasn't there. Yes I'm using skse and she was there before I came to post the original issue.
