Version 5.01
- - All perks have been removed from the perk trees. Compatibility patches are now not needed. Previously learned perks will still work.
- Added Dark Arts tomes to certain locations in the world. You gain permanent shadow perks after reading them.
- Curses were moved to Alteration school.
- Sear spell has been redone. Sear does not siphon life and stacks up to 4 times if you continue channeling.
- New concentration spell: Drain Soul. Drain Soul deals magic damage to the target and additionally drains health (like Sear did earlier). Has a chance to trap the target's soul.
- Crushing Darkness always has a chance to trap the target's soul.
- Sear enchantment has been replaced with Drain Soul enchantment. Drain component has been buffed (25% -> 50%).
- Hex enchantment does not deal damage. Base curse chance has been increased (15% -> 20%) and made scalable.
- Devour perk modifies Drain Soul only.
- Doom perk is renamed to Agony. Agony perk makes your Sear stack up to 5 times.
- Devour perk has been renamed to Essence Drain.
- Shadowflame effect is now darker.
- - All perks have been removed from the perk trees. Compatibility patches are now not needed. Previously learned perks will still work.

- - Implemented the MCM menu.
- You may now configure Life Tap conversion percentages, Shadowbolt notifications, Shadowform healing, Crushing Darkness stagger and Creeping Terror slay conditions.
- Changed default Life Tap conversion values (20-40 -> 20-25).
- Increased and tweaked Illusion experience gain for casting Curses.
- Replaced SendAnimationEvent with KnockAreaEffect for all stagger effects. Should be much more reliable.

Version 3.00
- - Crushing Darkness shader and visual effect has been redone. It looks more like SWTOR force ability of the same name (damn I love that visual).
- Shadowform shader has been redone. It's now more misty with occasional dark lightning discharges.
- Shadowbolt explosion effect has been changed.
- Shadow Rend cast particle effect now won't block your view in first person mode. The effect will appear only in 3rd person view mode and fade out when switching to 1st person view mode (much like
Shadowform).
- Creeping Terror now has a persistent shader effect on a target.
- Creeping Terror hands, beam inventory mesh and casting light are now more blue to correspond the shader and hit effects.
- Added a new spell (Destruction 75): Choke.
- Choke pulls the target and chokes it while you concentrate, dealing massive damage over time.
- Creeping Terror cooldown has been removed.
- Creeping Terror control and slay effects cannot be reapplied to targets affected by the Creeping Terror damage over time effect. But damage over time effects may stack (if you have enough magicka to cast a lot of Creeping Terrors, that is).
- Creeping Terror magicka cost has been increased (310 -> 420) to compensate DoT stacking.
- Shadowbolt now does not have a chance to stagger a target affected by Crushing Darkness. Shadow spells have enough conditional effects (shadowform healing, light level modifiers, etc) and it makes life easier for the scripting engine. Shadowbolt was cluttered by THREE conditional effects.
- Crushing Darkness stagger chance has been increased (40% -> 50%).
- Crushing Darkness now does not deal initial damage to prevent damage/stagger spam.
- Added SKSE detection (and a warning message if SKSE is missing) on mod init/upgrade.
- Removed unused forms.
- - Crushing Darkness shader and visual effect has been redone. It looks more like SWTOR force ability of the same name (damn I love that visual).

Version 2.80
- - Added Conjure Darkness spell (Conjuration). Conjure Darkness allows the caster to cover surroundings in shadows for some time to improve stealth and fully empower Shadowbolt spell.
- Added Conjure Umbra' Keth spell (Conjuration).
- Added toggleable Nighteye spell (Alteration). The spell drains 80% of caster's magicka when cast and does not increase Alteration skill.
- Added Shadow Enchantments ability (Alteration). It teaches you all shadow weapon enchantments without the need to disenchant anything (well, because there's nothing to disenchant).
- Added Sear weapon enchantment. Sear enchantment deals base magic damage and drains 25% of the damage done as health.
- Added Hex weapon enchantment. Hex enchantment deals base magic damage and has a chance to apply a random shadow curse on hit.
- Mind Control scrolls now correctly appear in 100 leveled list (was 50) and Mind Blast scrolls in 50 lvli (was 100). Unfortunately the change will only work in a new game. Anyway this bug is not that critical.
- Shadowform now drains 80% of caster's magicka when cast instead of flat 500.
- More creepy Mind Control background sound.

- Mind Blast completely disables a target's mind for some time, but works only out of combat.
- Mind Control allows you to control a target for some time.
- Wither *placeholder* perk is replaced by Mind Shattering, which upgrades your Mind Blast and Mind Control magnitudes and durations.

- Reduces the Dark Arts perks shadow damage bonus from 25%/50% to 15%/30% to be on par with the other Path Of Sorcery elemental destruction perks. 25%/50% was somewhat too strong.

- Shadowform now does not affect shadow spell costs. Instead any shadow spell you cast heals you for 10% of the damage dealt.
- Shadowform penalty has been changed. Now it only increases all Restoration spell costs by 75%.

- Added mipmaps to shadowflame and shadowbolt gradients. Should help with the "rainbow textures" bug? I hope so.
