It works well for many essential NPC's right now but some of them are unaffected and it is annoying. If i know how to add any more NPC's to the list i would do it.
>Additionally, several NPCs are made essential by the quests they are a part of. No other mod I know of allows the player to kill even these. This includes DELPHINE and Jarl Balgruuf the Greater. >Though I'm confused as to why anyone would want to kill him. You probably haven't played skyrim enough, otherwise you wouldn't make this statement.
Maybe i didn't understand this correctly so i'll ask a question first: What exactly did you mean by "You just need to perform a power move". What is the so called Power move to kill a "bleeding out" character (i.e. on their knees)?
And to follow that up: There's one guard at the frontgates of Whiterun which is not affected by your mod. Tried everything. He is still essential. He is just a guard, no fancy title nothing. I even tried another mod on him, the "Heart Breaker" one, where you get a Killmove to rip their hearts out. That particular mod states that it would work even on "special essential NPC's" so i thought, even the special ones? with notification upon death?, sounded too good to be true.....was too good to be true. Didn't work.
Any ideas as to why that is? I mean...it's just a guard.
For some reason, feminist loudmouth Olfina Greymane just won't die. Maybe I have to save her stupid meat-head brother first, but that would mean I would have to help the stormcloaks!
Really cool mod, its fun to be able to just shank anyone without them being able to just limp around. HOWEVER... This mod broke 3 quests for me and I was looking for a solution to this problem for 3 weeks. It broke the companions quest "Purity of revenge" "Repairing the white phial" and " Discerning the Transmundane" when Septimus is about to die. It seems to reverse the process if Skyrim kills and NPC they just limp around. If you kill the npc they die. I dono man but it really sucked for 3 weeks trying to find a solution until I realized it.
That's why they are ESSENTIAL npcs! If you don't know why that particular individual is essential, DON'T KILL 'EM! Maybe you need to turn this mod off and wait a little while with it?
this is why i finish a quest that requires a person THEN kill them. or i just do a playthrough where i just clear skyrim with an ak and an rpg and non essential mods
I really wish there was such a mod that automatically fails all quests related to a particular npc if they're killed. I, for one, made that pompous biatch (stupid censors, it's not even a swear word!) Maven Black-Briar unessential. As soon as I attacked her, the whole town went bananas and people kept fighting on and on, both the guards, and myself (some took sides, but later would turn on each other). Of course, it wasn't because of their fondness for Maven, just silly AI, but it was still fun.

Thank you in advance.
This guard is meant to let you into Riften.
He might be double essential, who knows.
