Minor, but very substantial tweaks.
-General: Emblems changed so they are raised and a bit pointy (???) and now they also make slight use of the environment map. Looks way better now.
-Dagger: Gritty normal map overlay added, edge highlights tweaked.

-Bow: Diffuse map slightly darker, gritty normal map overlay added, wood specular fixed

-Dagger: Reshaded, added more ambient occlusion. Some grungy effects added where it's logical. Less blurry. Normal map has slight bump marks, only visible up close.
-Sword: Shading increases, light stuff should pop out more. Blade is now less cluttered; scratches removed. 1px-wide """"scratches"""" replaced with real grunge marks. Normal map has bump marks only visible up close.
-Greatsword: less contrasting specular. Edge highlights less blurry, redone with a more grungy brush. Blade cleaner, slightly. Enhanced shading. Bump marks added to normal map, very subtle.
-War axe: Edges overhauled. Environment map mask intensity increased. Normal maps tweaked. Leather slightly brighter. Fake AO added to handle.
-Battleaxe: 1px-wide scratches replaced with more grungy brush strokes. Fake AO added to logical places. Specular less contrasting, Env map mask more contrasting.
-Mace: AO marks refined near handle. Spike at bottom now has a bit extra shading. Looks less fake overall. Leather brightened up a bit.
-Warhammer: Fake AO added, less blurry and WAY more grungy. Shading on head overhauled.
-Bow: Lots of shading added. Balanced highlights and shadows better. Leather a bit glossy. Wood slightly lighter. The bow should look less like a black blob now. 1px-wide scratches replaced with grunge marks.
-Arrow: Shading added on arrowhead decorations. AO near quiver flap added. Dirt/mud marks added on quiver.
-Scabbard: Mud accentuated. 1px-wide scratches replaced with real grunge marks. Shading tweaked.
-The cubemap has been overhauled. The lighter blue area is shifted a bit, and the orange parts have been made richer in colour. I've added another smaller blue spot on the other side of the cubemap so that the back of the weapon isn't entirely orange.
Version 1.3
-Dagger: Seam on blade removed. Normal maps refined. Shading and edge wear made more realistic. The curly emblem at the top of the blade has been removed.
-Sword: Seam on blade removed. Edge geometry fixed. Shading on blade redone.
-Greatsword: Seam on blade and handle removed. Groove on blade made thinner. Shading redone.
-Battleaxe: dusty swaths of white reduced; now they are proper highlights. Seam removed as much as possible. Environment map slightly more pronounced. Geometry at the back of the axe improved.
-War Axe: Edge geometry redone. Shading retouched. Edge wear refined.
-Mace: Blurry highlights decreased; they are more subtle now.
-Warhammer: Highlights on back spike drastically lessened. Shadows less pronounced. Looks less cartoony overall.
-Scabbard: muddy blotches for interesting details added.
-Bow/quiver: unedited, same as version 1.2.
Because of the recently updated terms of services of the Nexus, which claim ownership of the files uploaded to the site, I will no longer be supporting this platform and I will remove my files shortly. So many efforts have been made to retexture the iron, steel, dwarven, orcish, elven, glass and daedric weapons. Especially noteworthy are the textures made by Cabal130. However, there have been no real retextures for the ebony weapons that do not simply upscale the texture files. This mod aims to make the ebony weapons truly feel like a reward.
All vanilla ebony weapon textures have been replaced. Mods that use those textures as well will thus also be affected. I have not edited the blade of sacrifice and the ebony blade. I have made a completely new cubemap from scratch to bring the most out of this black metallic glass.
All-new floral designs akin to the amidianborn ebony armor have been added. The weapons are definitely less ornamental than their vanilla variants: they are meant for slashing and skull-crushing, after all.
The textures are 2048x2048 diffuse and normal, and 1024x1024 environment map masks. I deemed this fitting enough for these objects as they are close to the viewer and the textures are not repeated as often as landscape textures.
Mods that replace the ebony weapons textures are not compatible. Mods like crazylion's ebony weapon replacer are obviously not compatible either. This mod is compatible and tested with better shaped weapons and heavy armory.
