Hmm. about vampires. Was thinking to try this mod. I vastly prefer requiem vanilla vampires over VT... 2/2 playthroughs, requiem ones are far superior. (Except dawnguard questline start nonsense, and... i have major problems, sometimes stages glitch out, 5 hours fully fed, then it jumps to hungry, 5s after this hungrier, 5s later hungriest. Aggro etc. Gamebreaking. Happens only sometimes, bit rare, but not so super rare. Wish i knew how to deal with this.)
But about this HP, i think sun oneshots you, even if fully fed, with this. If you changed nothing else. It is -300 iirc... For sure, second stage rip, but i think first one as well.
So if you lower HP, you should also lower sun debuffs. Besides, playing vampire is pretty punishing as is, i dont really think its that much needed, but why not hardcore, just not "sun oneshots anytime" thats too much hc.
For vampires, this mod only edits pre-existing numbers in already existing tables in Requiem. It will not make base Requiem any more (or less) stable, regardless of what mods you're using.
This mod's intent is to make low level characters less overpowered. Contracting Sanguinare Vampiris isn't for the weak, though if a PC is sufficiently leveled/powerful, they can gain great powers by appeasing and submitting to Molag Bal to dominate Nirn.
edit: I agree with you about sun debuffs. I've made a reduced sun damage rebalance version for Requiem 2.0.0
quick question, and hope it isn't a stupid one, but does the bonuses, such as, unarmed damage bonus gained from wearing the ring of hircine,, bestial blood, and hunting carry over to werewolf form? or does it only affect human form? just human form I'm assuming correct?
It's a good question that has taken a good bit of testing and research to clarify. Ring of Hircine benefits only affect the humanoid form of PCs. In the Skyrim engine, werewolf form is considered a different race, so Bestial Blood doesn't affect that either. Werewolf form does gain unarmed damage bonuses and as well as others from mauling opponents though
Hey I was just wondering, does the vampire changes slow down the rate at which you change stages? Since in requiem it's really annoying how often you have to feed.
I'm happy to see your mod is compatible with Moonlight Tales, I love that mod for werewolves , the forced transformation but also the perk tree but on the other hand I don't want to be too OP while playing one so being able to combine both is great. But I'm wondering, should I place your mod before or after Moonlight Tales ?
It's been a while since I looked at Moonlight Tales in context to R-W&VR in XEdit (I've never used Moonlight Tales myself, I just included the compatibility report by request), but to be on the safe side, place R-W&VR before Moonlight Tales in your load order.
Is a new game required for this to work? I put this mod the lowest in my load order (besides Requiem for the Indifferent), I also have Minor Arcana and Behind the Curtain, and that's about it. When I go beast form my hp is indeed nerfed down to the +500, but my base health with bestial blood is still +100 to both health and stamina. I really want to use this mod, but not if I have to start a new game.
I can't say for sure, though have you used the reqtificator since adding this mod? Also if you contracted lycanthropy before adding this mod, it's possible that this mod's bestial blood values won't be triggered at all to determine your initial bestial blood stat changes, and the values would be set in the save file as whatever data set (from base Requiem or BtC) initially determined bestial blood values.
