I read somewhere that this was incompatible with Wearable Lanterns? Is this true, and can anyone say what sort of conflict we're talking here? Is it something where simply not trying to equip both at once will avoid issues, or are we talking script conflicts or something?
I know yours is an older post but I have had both installed and running with no serious issues. I am troubleshooting an animation bug with the Everlight but have used them both together with no game breaking issues. I always have the lantern on my back and sometimes pull out the torch for more light (I have a modded interior brightness.) The only bug I have is my characters hands will get stuck and I will not be able to turn left or right when I equip the Everlight or put it away. My workaround for the issue is to pull out my sword and put it back. Removing the sword from the sheath always fixes it.
I will update this post when I figure out/fix the bug that is likely a conflict between this mod and an animation mod. Perhaps my "hold torch diagonal" mod.
Hmm, very informative. As it happens, I'm making the switch to SSE, which has led me to re-downloaded Everlight and Wearable Lanterns, and wonder what the conflict is all over again. So despite my question being old, your answer is very helpful. Thanks!
This is a fantastic mod and one I really don't want to let go of, however I'm having two somewhat strange issues with it:
1) The third person unequip bug that others seem to be having.
2) The everlight seems to be teleporting me back to the entrance of caves occaisionally.
For the first issue there seems to be a fix in this thread, but I'm not entirely sure I understand what he means by patching said fix to work with wearable lanterns. If anyone could help me out with that I'd appreciate it.
The more worrying issue to me however is the second issue. I've heard no mention of this at all in this thread, but it's definitely related to the everlight. Other save files that don't use Everlights (But have the same mods) don't experience this issue. At first I thought it was a neat little part of the mod (Picking up the everlight bringing me to the entrance of the cave) but after looking through this page thoroughly for similar bugs I've realised I haven't even seen this mentioned as a feature in the first place. No idea what's going on here.
While I definitely could use a hand with the animation issue, it is manageable. The teleporting back to a cave entrance however is far more concerning. I really really really really really like this mod and would rather like to keep it, so if anyone has any advice for me please let me know.
The workaround to the teleport bug for me is to pull out my sword with the other hand then put it away. If I dont do this within maybe 5 seconds of equipping Everlight I teleport. The same fix works on the first person animation bug I get so maybe it works with the third person as well?
Yeah, this whole teleport whenever I equip a torch is getting annoying. Why not just make an optional craftable torch only and no special surpises written in small print on the price tag? That would be nice...
I didn't do this intentionally my dude. Crafting such glitches would be one hell of a waste of time. I haven't figured out what causes these teleporting issues since they do not happen on my end. Check if your Skyrim is a legit copy and that you have everything up to date. If everything is legit, let me know and please provide a list of mods that you use. That would probably help me figure out where the problem is, so I can fix it for you and everyone else who's having this. I can't and won't guarantee a fix for pirated copies because they tend to be broken versions of original games.
I have the same issue he mentions with a legitimate steam version. It prevents me from turning left and right as soon as I pull out the torch and I have to pull out my sword within maybe 5 seconds to prevent teleporting to my last save point. The workaround is so simple I really havent spent much time troubleshooting mod conflicts but just wanted to let you know it is a thing with a confirmed legit game but moderately modded.

can you please reupload this without having the dlc needed as masters please, i want to use this in enderal and if u take those dependencies off i can use the mod " add item " to get them... i don't know how to use the ck or i would, but im sure if u do this, and let me know i will confirm in game working and you can post it as a converted mod for enderal... please n thank u very very much!!! Nice idea, I can try and make these for Enderal later next month perhaps. And no, I don't give permission to do that for any of my mods. The mod that uses these assets must be on Nexus. You can check permissions on the description page.
