Some recent news regarding The Mines of Moria Revised and Expanded.
I've been working on extra details. Cleaning up some scenes and scripts. I'm also trying to add a quest but I'm finding it impossible to get it to run dialogue. I've followed several tutorials on quest dialogue but I can't get it to work. Nor can I get quest markers to work either. But I'm not giving up, gonn'a keep trying.
Also, as far as an SE edition is concerned. I can play the mod in SE, though there's a few issues I can't resolve on my own. The Balrog's hit area is limited to the point around his ankles. Arrows seem to miss every time. I also can't edit anything in the SE Creationkit. It crashes Moria_VA.esp on save.
If someone would like to help and take a look at the quest I've created please hit me up. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I've tried a lot of different ways to make it work. I could use a second pair of eyes. V1.6 isn't available for download yet, so to take a look at the problems I'm dealing with I'll have to send you the files.
Scripted Hell this was cool! Really really cool work you did there! I had some issues with light being on the on/off, and a certain ceiling being too far away to show but otherwise it was really amazing. Only thing I'm sad about is that I couldn't enter the Great Abyss area due to a missing/corrupted mesh ctd. No clue if it was something going wrong during installation or whatever else. Nevertheless it was awesome! Just my type of dungeon, huge and abyss and dark and all that stuff.
We are still hoping for a port for this to Skyrim SE. Hope you haven't forgotten us. I took a look and tried to port it over. It looks like there are well over 1k errors all over Skyrim. Normally I ignore the warnings, but I have never seen so many. Creation Kit wouldn't let me save, and I tried multiple times. I'm out of my depth, I tried a form conversion, and I used CAO and Nif Opt, I even checked the texture files. everything looks fine IDK why it is doing this. I have ported hundreds of mods. Might be the scripts are too complex, unfortunately my scripting skills are rudimentary at best. Another thing I noticed was the mod list says nothing about Hearthfire, however in your description on Creation Kit you say it is required.
Side note: I really wanted a Balrog in my game (Peter Jackson version), I found a crocodile looking one made from a flame atronach. The think about that is huge book fans say that movie Balrog is not accurate. Well Tolkien didn't draw a picture he only described it and didn't do much to even do that. Peter Jackson's interpretation for better or worst will go on to be the standard Balrog; and now even Rings of Power (Don't get me started) have used his concept. In my humble opinion it is close enough, a demon from the ancient world (he has horns), Shadow (he is shadowy), Flame ( yep), Fiery weapons (yes), 14 feet tall (pretty close), wings (Tolkien did say the word wings I guess), humanoid (yea he has arms and legs) The point is that he is Balrog now, and will continue to be, until there is a reboot... God Help us. At the end of the day, a writer leaves gaps to help us imagine it better in our own way, well we did and here he is.
Is it possible to enter Moria again and again after you have played through it once? (after a speedrun to test it, this no longer worked) and can you mine Mithral somewhere in there?
Sorry to necro post or whatever but did this end up getting ported to SE anywhere? I can't find it but it appears that the author confirmed that they were working on porting it over? Has anyone ported it to SE for personal use yet?
Avevo grandi aspettative ma sono rimasto deluso, dungeon troppo grande con difficoltà di caricamento e con molti difetti, nessun oggetto interessante e sfida boss ridicola.
