There's a mod called Toggleable Dragon Aspect out there, which I use since very long time. What could be the difference, sumed up in a few words ? As that mod add a power to dispel the Dragon Aspect, and delete the CD associated with GP, as it makes this shout a LP instead. In fact I use it with Individualized Shouts Cooldowns also, it's so useful, I never saw if it as a long or a short CD, I couldn't say. I'm asking at the level of the core functionality un fact.
If you can't shout while you have dragon aspect, your mod is as useless as Bethesda's vanilla idea of balancing, Miraak shouts at you when hes with dragon aspect, so you should be able to do it too...
what if instead of using the shout timer it used the gamer hour timer like the day long one but instead was 3-5 real life min. But the shout cool down was 5 allowing for no spam of dragon aspect but still allowing you to shout while under it's effects.
It's a great idea, but I think not being able to shout while having the power active is a deal breaker for me. What might be better is to remove the 1 day cool down effect but after the power wears off a debuff is given to your character which makes all other shouts weaker. So a full 3 word Fus Ro Dah will still push people away but it will do less damage. Same thing with shouts like Fire or Frost breath, they do less damage. Shouts that have a timer like Become Ethereal don't last as long under the debuff. Or the debuff could just affect your stats, making you do less damage or it drains a portion of your health, magicka, and stamina making you weaker. Or it could affect both stats and shouts.
The debuff could last 5 minutes and wouldn't prevent you from using Dragon Aspect again while under the debuff, but it could have a stacking effect. Meaning, after shout first wears off the debuff is placed on you for 5 minutes, however if you decide to use Dragon Aspect again while still under the debuff, when the shout wears off again the debuff is more powerful and lasts longer. If you activate Dragon Aspect again for the third time, this time after the shout wears off the debuff is stronger, lasts even longer, and now you won't be able to shout again until it wears off. And this applies to any shout not just Dragon Aspect. However, whenever the Dragon Aspect is active the debuff is taken away. So if you have the debuff that lasts 5 minutes and you use Dragon Aspect again, the debuff won't be there under the effects of the shout. But there's a bad after effect for abusing this shout.
This makes the Dragon Aspect shout powerful since it buffs up your character a lot, but it has a bad after effect that you will have to take into consideration when using it. So if you want to use this shout you have to make sure to kill all the strong enemies in the area, otherwise the debuff effect could get you killed if you're not careful.
Nice idea but everyone must remember that talos amulet and blessing are still present so maybe instead of those 5 mins duration something like 2 or 3 may be better
