- Remade the Wrath of the Aedra weakness, now instead of causing damage from being in a temple it will instead blind you on approach to Holy Shrines and prevent you from interacting with them, this of course can be disabled if it is not to your preference.
- Remade the visuals for Blood to Power, now you are surrounded in a giant orb of Blood Magic as seen in the new screensho, it also has a custom sound effect.
- Replaced Blood Hemorrhage with Sanguine Rune, I feel the Vampire Lord's primary attack should be their main source of DPS.
- Added several new MCM options including the option to boost Blood Magic spell damage by 50% and even disable Supernatural Awareness.
- Removed the Blinding effect from Sunlight and added a NEW immersive Sunlight damage Shader, in addition you can now take cover when in low light levels.
- Added a NEW Night Power, Enhanced Peception which slows time by 1/2 for 5 seconds.
- Readjusted several existing abilities, the magnitude of the Vampiric Reanimation spell in Human Form has been reduced to 35 from 50 however Vampiric Drain now deals an extra 5 damage per second, both spells are effected by the Boost Blood Magic setting in the MCM.
Version V7
Added new toggle options in the MCM to boost Silver Damage and switch between Normal and Royal Vampire Lord armor.
Increased the chance for Potent Vampire Blood to drop 10% up from 5% and fixed the duplicate poison damage description.
Fixed bug causing NPC Vampires who take sunlight damage to hit you with a message stating that your taking damage even if you not a Vampire.
Added Feed Damage, Feeding on NPCs will know deal 50 damage per bite, Guards and Bandits may survive several bites but most citizens will only survive 2 or 3 at the most.
Removed the obsolete Vampire Nightmare message boxes, they added clutter and did not really add anything to the mod.
Altered the "Weakness to Sunlight" effect to only come into effect when the IsPleasant conditions are met instead of light levels which could be effected by spells and torches.
Version V6.2
Made a small script edit to the Warform to ensure your weapons currently wielded become unequipped to avoid a visual bug.
Removed 2 unused edits from the main mod.

Rebalanced the Blood to Power Spell to drain less health and restore more magicka.
Added a new effect to Immeasurable Strength, while active your power attacks will Ragdoll enemies, also the Vampire makes demonic growling noises now.
Reduced the Damage NPC Vampires take in sunlight by 5 points and altered the Sunlight threshold so it matches the player effect.
Very slightly reduced the volume on the Blood to Power Spell.
Made it so potions have full-effect on Vampires however I have now made it so Food and Healing Magic have none,.
Version V4
- Immeasurable Strength when active now increases carryweight by 50% or your maximum instead of a flat out 500 points, Vampire Lord unarmed damage is increased by 50%, bash Damage is increased by 100%, unarmed damage for Non-VL form is increased by 250% and melee weapon damage is increased by 25%.
- Vampiric Drain slightly Buffed to 25 from 20 per second
- Vampiric Blast slightly buffed from (4, 8, 12, 16, 20) to (5, 10, 15, 20, 25)
- Unnatural Celerity boosts movement speed by 60% for 10 seconds instead of slowing time down, unlike most vampire mods with a speed boost ability mine is seamless and works perfectly so you will not have to press the sprint button to add or remove the speed buff, now you can run really fast.
- Vampire Bat Form usable outside of Vampire Lord form and gained by default upon becoming a vampire.
- Re-added Vampiric Reanimation to the Human Form Vampire.
- Removed Chronokinesis and Invoke Thunderstorm as they could be used more then once per day if you revert form and then transformed into a Vampire Lord again (that and the whole idea of Chronokinesis is stupid to begin with like how are you stopping time but everyone is still moving normally, how does that work?)
- New Perk "Children of the Night" Animals will not attack you when in Vampire Lord form.
- New Perk "Vampiric Talons" Melee attacks in Vampire Lord form drain 5 points of health per second for 5 seconds.
Version V2.75
- Made a few fixes to the Consuming Shadows ability and description which for those who do not know is disabled by default and gives you magical absorption between 4% to 20% depending on rank.
- Made an adjustment to the conditions on the Reign of Terror effect, it shouldn't effect followers now.
- Done a small bit of cleaning by removing some unneeded files which were left over from earlier versions.
- Decided to go with the Red FX shader instead of purple for feeding effects.
Version V2.7
- A script change from the last version did not make it in, that has been fixed
- For consistencies sake I have removed the "Daedric Blood Potions" as drinking Dremora wont achieve the same effect, in it's place you can now craft Blood Potions from 2 peices of Human Flesh as well and Human Hearts now yield 2 Blood Potions each given their rarity.

Had to fix the spelling on the supernatural resistance effects.
Had to apply the IsRaining Keyword to one of the Sunlight Weakness effects.

Version V2.5
- Updated the PlayerVampireQuestScript with the new changes from most recent Skyrim update an d fixed the spelling in a few other scripts.
- A bug causing you to die if you reverted form at low health with the "Supernatural Endurance" perk has been fixed, I have achieved this by lowering the health, magicka and stamina granted by the supernatural perks down to 50 from 100, to make up for this the vampire lord can gain up to 150 points of health from leveling up as opposed to 100.
- Several alterations within the mod itself have been made making the mod even cleaner, most edits in COTV are via custom files and not overwrites, although some still are out of necessity such as the custom colour being applied to the 10 vampire races plus the "old people" vampire race, this took me several hours of work to complete.
- The Vampire Feed Message will now appear when you have "The Blood is the Life" perk and feed in Vampire Lord form.
- The Vampire Lord is now immune to fall damage while levitating, to make up for this the fall damage resistance when not levitating has been reduced by 30% from 80% resistance at max age, this should of made it into the last update but for some reason did not.
- The player will now start off with the first stage of the vampire age bonuses upon becoming a vampire instead of after the first 5 days, in addition this has shortened the ageing system by 5 days.
- Vampiric Seduction now only works on Non-Hostile enemies like it was originally intended, to compensate I have increased the physical resistant for the vampire player back up to 50% from 40% as you will find it more difficult to heal when in combat, also the spelling of Compel in the ability description has been fixed, it had an extra l that was not supposed to be there.
Version V2.2
Had to make a fix to the global variables as they were being reset to default upon reloading the game, hopefully it should be fixed now.
Version V2.1
- Number of spelling errors related to the VL perk tree and wrong numbers fixed, now the weakness to sunlight will say it deals the proper amount of damage instead of the wrong amount
- Removed a Global Variable which had no purpose from the ESP.
- Removed the ability to hide in low light levels as certain abilities would alter the light level causing the player to take damage when they aren't actually in sunlight, I have changed this so now you will be safe under several conditions, when it is cloudy, Raining or snowing the sun will be obscured and you will be safe, much simpler and cleaner then before and you wont be spammed every 5 seconds with an FX effect as your light level fluctuates between safe and unsafe levels, in addition you will be safe while you are swimming because the sunlight sets you on fire and your swimming..in water, fire's arch-nemesis, of course if you have unyielding tides active you will have other things to worry about.
Also if you are not yet aware you have many customization options which can be accessed by typing help COTV_Setting into the console and changing the values of them from 0 to 1.
Version V2
- NEW vampire ageing system
When you first become a creature of the night you will find that you are rather short on power, this is due to the new ageing feature, every 5 days the vampire will gain an additional bonus on the 5th, 15th, 25th, 35th and 4th days the player will get an upgrade to their vampiric passives, on the 10th, 20th, 30th and 40th days as a vampire the player will gain the powers...Immeasurable Strength, Unnatural Celerity, Devouring Swarm, Vampire Mist form in that order.
- NEW customization features
By playing around with the variables you are able to choose if you have no weakness to fire, a 50% weakness to fire, a 100% weakness to fire or even a 150% weakness to it, the same applies to frost, you are also able to choose whether or not you take constant damage or are merely weakened when under the effects of the vampiric curses.
- NEW fixes related to abilities
In previous versions of COTV it was possible to permanently lose some abilities if you cured yourself of vampirism and tried to become a vampire again, with the addition of the ageing system which will reset itself have you choose to cure yourself this is no more, additionally spells will not be lost if under the cooldown effects when reverting from Vampire Lord form to Vampire form (Non-Vampire Lord form)
- NEW spelling Fixes
Some spells spelt incorrectly have been fixed or been given their more common spelling.
- NEW ability changes
The vampirism system will no longer grant the player a raise dead spell upon becoming a vampire (much like Sacrosanct) Rigor Morits now uses the visuals which make it identical to a certain spell in Undeath Immersive Lichdom as this looks much better then the previous method.
- NEW skin tone for vampires
All 10 vampires races now have a more unique skin colour, Nord vampires are actually as pale as the snow as the common comment made by the citizenry towards vampire-kind would suggest which is much more pale then the lightest vanilla skin colour, if this is not of your liking you can remove it by deleting the edits to the vampire races in the CK or SSE Edit.
- NEW perk changes
The new perk "Chronokinesis" will allow you to call upon higher powers to stop the flow of time for 60 seconds once per day, kind of like the similar spell from the Sacrosanct mod, in addition the "Unnatural Hunger" perk is now called "Insatiable Bloodlust" and now allows you to craft unique blood potions from Daedra Hearts which provide a small bonus when consumed.
Version 2.6
- Fixed the "Reign of Terror" perk so it actually works now.
- Fixed the description on the weakness to fire ability so it says "Reanimated" instead of "Animated"
- Increased the magnitude of Immeasurable Strength from 40 to 50 and from 400 to 500
- Changed the timer on the sunlight penalty so now you take damage between 7:00am and 7:00pm as it is still somewhat dark before 7:00am
- Made it so the Weakened flavor of the Sunlight weakness will be negated by "Vampire Mistform" like all other versions of it.
- Altered and description for the Potion of Blood and Altered and Fixed the description for the Potion of Blood, in addition the price for making them with the Insatiable Bloodlust perk has been increased from 1 to 2.
- Made the Vampire Lord feeding more consistent by applying the same ImageSpaceModifier that appears when you feed in your normal form when you have the "Blood is the Life" Perk.

Life as a Vampire... Being a vampire in COTV isn't a walk in the park, COTV intends to provide the player with a highly immersive yet straight forward vampire system, the vampire has a large variety of strengths and weaknesses with a high level of emphasis on survival of the fittest when playing as a blood drinking monster, in COTV there are no vampire stages and feeding merely serves as a tool to heal your undead body with, the mightiest of vampires may not even need to feed.
If you seek a simple yet highly immersive vampire experience then look no further, COTV features many concepts not featured in any other vampire mod on the Skyrim Special Edition including the inability to safely trespass (Which was a major feature of the "Belua Sanguinare" mod on the Skyrim legendary Edition)
COTV also features NPC Support and an MCM menu which allows you to toggle various effects (Requires SKSE)
Existence as a vampire in COTV can be tough as is the intention but the mods purpose is to get the feel of what it is like to be a creature of the night, you will be powerful but at a severe cost, you are undead and will live as befits the dead, you may struggle or triumph in your existence but perhaps you shall beable to conquer your vampiric state and become a true master of the darkness.
PROS to being a Vampire... These are positive effects gained simply by becoming a Vampire The Vampire features an ageing system which lasts up to 40 days, such passive effects as Unholy Presence and Enhanced Stamina will become more potent the longer you remain as one of the Bloodsucking undead, In addition Supernatural Awareness allows the Vampire to detect nearby hostiles up to 200 feet away.

Vampiric Vision - Allows you to see in the dark (With Custom Visuals)
Vampiric Seduction - Allows you to enthrall a non-hostile allowing you to feed
Vampire Bat Form - Transform into a swarm of Bats to appear some distance away
Vampiric Drain - Siphon 15 health per second from the target
Vampiric Reanimation - Reanimate the target for 60 seconds
Unlockable Lesser Powers obtained by drinking Vampire Blood... These powers are unlocked by consuming Potent Blood from Slain Vampires (10% chance of dropping)
The Following Abilities have no magicka cost which benefits Melee oriented builds but each has a 20 second cooldown between uses, each ability only lasts for a short duration but can prove most effective when used correctly, each ability can be used in both Normal and Vampire Lord forms.
No Vampire Stage system - Feeding is only a means to heal yourself, this provides maximum consistency with Survival Mods such as Sunhelm and Vitality Mode
Basic NPC Vampire Support - Enemy Vampires are effected by the same weakness to Sunlight and Fire that you are, perhaps you can use this to your advantage
Feeding can kill - Each time you feed via Seduction or on a Sleeping NPC you will deal 50 damage to them, feeding on an NPC to often can result in their death
Compatibility.. What works with Curse of the Vampire
Curse of the Vampire is a complete overhaul of Skyrim's Vampire system and is therfor incompatible with other Vampirism overhauls such as Sacrosanct, Sacrilege , Better Vampires or Vampiric Thirst, Compatibility between them is Impossible.
