thank you for this amazing mod, I have a question though, in the wizards hat mod it says that there are 2 hat versions, the hat and the circlet one so the npc haircut can be seen with the hats. Can the distribution of named npcs use the circlet versions? I ask because I have a lot of replacers with high poly heads and the bold heads are to notorious.
If you use the circlet version it will distribute the hats to NPCs and the hair can be seen. Is something not working? Sorry I don't understand the question. :)
My bad, allow me to elaborate. The base mod came with bot versions, circlet and hat by defaul, is not a FOMOD where you can chose the version. This mod distribute the hats on random mage npc and named npcs. Some of the named npc, lets say for example Faralda and Maribel in the College of Winterhold, have normal hats instead of circlet version. This makes them look very bald so my question is if the distribution can be modified so they use the circlet version instead of the hat ones so the hair can be visible.
Thank you so much for this awesome mod! My Skyrim playthroughs are not complete without it! However, I experienced one problem with it in my game. The Synod mages that are found dead in the dwarven ruin during the College of Winterhold questline were wearing the wizard hats and boots, but no robes. I am not using Beyond Skyrim - Bruma and the named Synod mages were fully dressed. It was just the dead mages found throughout the dungeon that had this problem. Any idea what might be causing this?
Thank you! :) Yes I think it could be caused by robes with hoods. Have to take a look. Can you check in your game if they have a rob in the inventory but not wearing it and if you loot it and wear it yourself does it have a hood?
Thanks for the quick response! I am also using Weapons Armor Clothing and Clutter Fixes so there are almost zero hooded robes in my game. Also, yes, their robes (non-hooded) were in their inventories but unequipped. I am really far in my game (lvl 81) and have encountered lots of mage NPC's. This issue has only happened with those dead Synod mage NPC's.
Edit: Okay, so, I just loaded my old save from when I went through that dungeon during the College of Winterhold questline to confirm what I'm reporting to you. I was incorrect. The dead Synod mage NPC's did not have robes in their inventories. They each only had wizard hats, boots, and a dagger.
No it is optional, you will be asked by the installer (though it will autodetect your setup). :) If you have no Bruma the synod wizards will still have fancy hats but the vanilla robes. :)
If you only want to have the items for crafting but not distributed you can simply remove the SPID-File. Or you can edit the SPID-File. Simply add ; to comment things out. The names are in the SPID-File so it is easily done. If you elaborate on your request I'll be happy to assist. :)
Dear Ja1zinZamp, the robes models should be fine except maybe for not having physics. They are also quiet performant for not having to many polygons I like to focus on that as not everybody has an high end machines. Also at sometimes a lot of the robes can be loaded for example in College of Winterhold so I think performance is important. What is necessary to make a version with Armor and Clothing Extension? I do not change any vanilla records so it should be compatible out of the box. The robes mod you mentioned does not have open permission but also already has a SPID distribution that you can use. If you adjust the files you can get both imperial robes in game. Kind regards Rotol
These mods I linked are not heavy at all. To make it compatible with ACE, you'd need to change your outfit models with the ones with ACE. I think it is possible to make a Skypatcher version, I'll try if I have time. Cheers.
Dear Aconitums, I have uploaded a new plugin for you to test where I changed it also in armor. Can you please test and report back if this works? Kind regards Rotol
Great! I will update the mod soon and move the new file to the main download. Thanks for testing! If you can provide a picture with custom hair that would be great! :)
Smashed Patch should not be necessary as I made sure to not modify a single vanilla record. All items are introduced to the game by SPID which of course does not need a smashes patch. :) Edit: But you removed the other mod. Now I get it. XD
Does sirwho_Wizard_Hats-Simple.esp module is requared for DawnOfWizardWorld-CustomHair.esp? Or I can turn it OFF and leave just DawnOfWizardWorld-CustomHair.esp as working?
No it is not required. But DawnOfWizardWorld-CustomHair.esp requires DawnOfWizardWorld.esp. Both are flagged as ESL. But if you want to have less Plugins you can simply overwrite the changes from DawnOfWizardWorld-CustomHair.esp into DawnOfWizardWorld.esp as it does not add any new references (same with bruma support pugin). Also you should not use sirwho_Wizard_Hats-Simple.esp if you use my mod. There is a resource only download on sirhows page that contains no plugin. If you use both you will have Items that look the same but do not stack (not really a problem though). Does this answer you question? Do not hesitate to ask further if something is unclear. :)

Right click on mod, select open in file manager and then delete ZDawnOfWizardWorld_DISTR.ini after that deploy mods.
If you provide a version with Armor and Clothing Extension and Imperial Battlemage Robes models I'll dive deep into it.

Did you mean the .nif files are outdated?
Thanks for your input. :)
I thought at some point to include some of them...

I gave you credit for testing on the mod page. :)
I'm made it ESL just so it fits in your load order.
