Would love the capability to be able to select items in the search pane and be able to directly say "add this to output" rather than needing to copy the mod ID and form ID over to the panels, select a group, and THEN add them one by one. It's a super helpful tool when you only have a couple of things you want distributed, but when you have a lot it's extremely tedious.
Similar functionality for SPIDER, where you pick a mod, set up your "who gets it and how often they should get it" and pick a single mod name, being able to say "do this for all located records for this mod name" would save a TON of time.
Sorry for being late to answer. No, you should be able to find skyrim.esm in the esm tab (I separated esp, esm and esl for vizualisation considerations) in the record explorer. Is your skyrim.esm in another directory/path than the rest of your plugins? Do you see other plugins (and expansions like Dawnguard, Dragonborn...) in the explorer?
Would I theoretically be able to use this tool to add weapons and armour from mods to NPCs and chests in the game? (Using CID)
But for weapon and armour mods which don't already use CID.
For example if I find a cool standalone armour mod which can only be obtained through crafting, could I use your tool to add it to CID even though it doesn't already have its own CID config file.
Yes, it's exactly for what you said! Moreover, it also provides a plugin explorer (like a mini xEdit) directly in-app to ease the process (gives you the EditorID, FormID for objects you want to distribute). ;)
